you didnt know? you could get banned today for this!
Why would you be asking where someone was from anyway? It's not like it's any of your business and I fail to see why you would even care. It's more inane than asking people what their mining level is.

Nick's Guide To Cheaper/Beginning Abyss RC
I use Paddewwa teleport now that I've (finally) done DT. Prior to that I used Duelling Rings to get me from altar to castlewars then glory from CW to Edgeville.

When or how?
I'm going to take a bungee cord, a length of wire and some superglue up top of a nice high bridge. Then I'm going to attach the bungee cord around my ankles, loop the wire around my neck and superglue my hands to my head. Then I'll leap off, on the way down the wire will tighten, severing my head, which - owing to the superglue will remain attached to my hands. The bungee cord will then arrest my fall and I will be found, suspended upside down from a bridge holding my own severed head in my hands.

Report warning
Absolutely. I'm a grumpy old bugger and I don't feel the need to talk to many people let alone justify to them why I'm playing the game the way I want to.

Offensive spells skull a player.
I had a good one yesterday, abyss crafting, someone managed to stick me with a dds on the way through. Crafted my nats and telied back to edge, banked my gear and waited for the poison to run it's course. Eventually shuffled off the mortal coil and back to fally, geared up - telied back to edgeville and went out hunting. Found the guy who'd stuck me and decided to let him have it with a series of ice rushes. Because he'd attacked me only a few minutes beforehand I didn't skull - even though I had since died and respawned.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
You were comparing a forty year old to a seven year old. Both of which are conscious, and aware of their own existence. A fetus is not. You were comparing a forty year old to a seven year old. Both of which are capable of experiencing pain and suffering. A fetus is not. You were referring to an insulin dependent diabetic who is dependent on a syringe of insulin as opposed to a fetus who is dependent on it's mother's womb. Why the heck are you even posting? It's quite obvious that you don't think at all.

Why is that an obvious case? Why should the baby be punished because of the actions of it's father? If you read the rest of my post you'll see that the key to my opinion is the word 'responsability'. Thats why. So your opinion on abortion is based more on punishing people for being irresponsible rather than any concern for the welfare of children. Charming.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
What's the difference? If you think about it, there are only 4: Size-so is a giant "more human" than a Little person? Level of Development-is a 40 year old man more human than a 7 year old kid? Environment-is an American asleep in their bed more human than a Chinese man working in rice fields? Degree of Dependency-So are diabetics less human than non-diabetics? The only differences really have no effect on the entire matter. You forgot about - consciousness, ability to suffer, ability to have an ongoing life independent of another human. If you think there are only 4 differences between a fetus and a baby it might be time for you to flick through "Where did I come from?" again.

Sorry, I think you want the "Infantacide Opinions (no flaming)" thread down the hall. A fetus is not a baby. A fetus may become a baby eventually. Until such time as it does, abortion is not "killing a little baby".

GM foods!
For a start, Africa is a continent, not a country. Less than a few hours by ship from Southern Europe. There are over 60 countries and dependent nations in Africa. Some of which are "developing" countries. Some of which are quite wealthy and most are somewhere in between or a mixture of the two. And I can assure you that, although - just like in the USA - there are places in Africa that don't have roads (my back yard doesn't have a road either) there are more than enough roads to get trucks to every village. Which is exactly the point I'm making. You (and far too many others) think it's better to save a few million dollars than to feed a few million people. I thought we were talking about GM foods as a possible solution to world hunger. Africa is not the only place in the world where people don't have enough to eat.

You do understand that up until quite late in the piece the fetus is completely dependent on the mother for it's survival. You can't just take it out at twenty weeks and put it into a vat and wait for it to become a baby. If the mother loses her life then the life of the fetus goes with it.

How about a new use for strange fruit
In order to make something an ingredient they should make it at least consistently obtainable... I don't think it matters if something is difficult to obtain, but players should be able to source their ingredients in a consistent manner rather than waiting on random events. However... birds nests (although they are readily obtainable now) were a random event used in herblore so you have precedent on your side.

GM foods!
What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Did you grow it yourself or did you purchase it from a supermarket. Did the supermarket grow it themselves out the back or did they receive it on the back of a truck from a distributor? Did the distributor make it in a portable production facility on their truck or did they pick it up from a manufacturer? Did the manufacturer grow the raw ingredients on site or did they in turn recieve those from a wholesaler? There is absolutely no problem distributing food to hundreds of millions of people because it happens every day. There are 260 million people in the USA, more than 99.9% of them have (more than by the looks of them) enough to eat. Very few of them grow their own food. Same story in Europe, Japan, Australia etc.

Why only within the species? Why is the line of specification so significant to self awareness? I've seen cows react to stimulus, I've seen them nurture their calves, learn to avoid the electric fence etc. I can make the same assumptions about other organisms of the bovine world as I can about the human ones. You're trying to tell me that I can't say that a cow is aware of myself because I'm not a cow. If that's the case, the logical extension of your theory is that I can't state that anything other than myself is self-aware. There are a number of tests for self awareness. One of the simplest is to examine whether or not the animal recognises itself in a mirror. A chimpanzee will examine and play with it's reflection in the same way a human would, a cat on the otherhand will act as if another cat has been placed in front of it. I'm using the term for what it means, a recognition by an organism that it exists. Self awareness has nothing to do with the ability to reason. A cow doesn't need to be able to ask "why am I here" in order to know that it is indeed here. And yes, if you bothered to read my posts you would see that I did support my argument. For a start I've neither instigated an ad-hominem attack on you, nor flamed you. An ad-hominem attack would be an attack on you rather than your arguments. Again, if you read my posts you will see that I referred to the concept of arguing that cows posess no self-awareness as "blatantly stupid", not you. And stated that if I was to misquote someone and then attack the misquoted argument rather than the actual one (Which is called a Straw Man Attack by the way) then I might be percieved as a "right prat". It seems that your understanding of Latin terms for logical fallacies is right up there with your understanding of philosophy and reading comprehension.

what do u think about teleing in the wildy?
I'll tele. If it's the difference between some spotty-faced prepubescent prat calling me a teletubby and having to spend 2 hours re-gathering equipment you can stick your "honour".

At least you're honest about it, unlike the other people who've posted in favour of it on this thread.

Man... the terrorists who hit you on 11/9 flew into your country business class, not jumped in over a fence. Your argument doesn't make any sense.

Immigration
That's the fault of the system rather than the immigrant. I'm all for open immigration. The money our governments currently spend on border protection could pay for all the healthcare any immigrants required and still have billions left over. At any rate, what gives anyone the right to tell another person where they can and can not live outside of property they themselves own? While I fully support your right to invite whomever and only whomever you choose into your house, you have no right to say who can go where outside of that.
