  1. Sorry for this impresive 4x post, I had incredible lag because my internet failed.. it is back now.. (been to long).. sorry for this inconvieniens
  2. Paulhartman, you are the person who I can talk to. An impresive post about rares NOT being the economy. It is good to see how the Runescape Economy (RE) is working. This makes the game more interesting as a MMORPG. Also I'd like to add, rares do stimulate the economy. This is because many people are trying to obtain a rare item. In their quest for this beautifull item, they mine coal, chop yews or any way they like. They have set themselves a goal which increases the amount of resources, thus increasing the amount of money put in the game. So rares do actually play a role in RE, but like you said, they are not the entire RE.

  5. good fine and yes it has been posted, but even I who read most of the updates didn't even know, so GREAT reminder :) Addy sounds so much cooler
  6. First off, I can't say more then you are absolutly right! Runescape has changed alot and yes, there are much more scammers etc. This is because of 2 reasons (in my opinion) 1) An increase amount of players. If RSC contained 1% scammers/ autoers .. well, the amount of players in RS2 has multiplied with 10 to 15! (amazing.. but true) 2) More and more players play Runescape as a game of their own, instead of enjoying it as an MMORPG and playing to have fun with themselves and the entire runescape community. This creates an envirement where personal happiness comes before the succes of it all and therefor they think autoing and scamming is good. --> Everyone has beaten the game or is trying to beat the game, but it isn't the game, its the system  My personal victory of the game was 900 total F2P and high Runecrafting F2P and ofcourse staying F2P. Nowadays I am almost retired from the game, because I have done most or almost everything on F2P and there is nothing new. (no im not becoming member), so when an update for F2P comes out, I check it out, do something i want and then 'quit' again since I done everything (again)
  7. Interesting parts, although their are a few F2P skills aswell, namely crafting. You are just posting P2P which is fine, but reframe that this guild is P2P only  For runecrafting without money: Air crafting all the way, doing fires along the way from time to time if you like. And once you get alot of profit you have the choice of keeping the profit or blowing it all at world 16, for good and faster experience. *small hint*
  8. Yes, you could maybe give a small 'hint' to a tip.it newsletter writer about some history about famous people. Tip.it was originaly founded by the steel corporation if I am not mistaking. Or at least the steel corporation helped at a lot of guilds. I must say a lot has changed, but that is because lots of people don't play for the fun of a MMORPG but just for their own pleasure, not the communities pleasure.. blast em scammers :P Although this should be moved to Rants, it would be a nice hint for another tip it letter, about how tip.it started or something about famous people in classic times.
  9. wow that demon butler sure works fast :) An impresive way of cheap construction experience, rather then cash, but it would be smart to sell them now, as the planks will drop in price in a few weeks. You can buy your planks later on and get double the amount  Construction rules :!:
  10. Wow bigfatleaf, that is an amazing! amount of resources. Well, I think we found out what the extra bonus is, a clue  So you made a tremendous profit with just minutes of work and a 'small' investment. This is a great way to receive large amounts of coal and flax for Very Cheap prices, so I think, myself and many others will use the Miscelana minigame daily or weekly, since it really is fun and worthwhile! Thank you Jagex, you did a great job and for rest, there is another topic open which is currently calculating all price ratings of the loot you receive from the island. I suggest we continue our little talk/discussion there and we keep on mini-gaming :P Thank you for all your comments and help, sincerely yours, 12pure34
  11. well, thank you all very much for all reactions you have given and the data about the rewards. It has been almost a week since the update, so more people will probaly have invested in the new island which seems pretty decent. What someone mentioned earlier about taking money from the economy, .. where did you go to school  Learn something about % of total  More great or lesser rewards can be posted here and maybe convince people to use the island more often. It seems like rescources received from the island can become a very good way for basics to raise certain skills. Let's say a week on flax, you have saved enough to string 2-3k yew longs! 12pure34
  12. excuse me, essence prices of rune have divived by 4 and pure essence has more then doubled. Flax prices went from steady 100 to a nice 150. That is 50%! Cowhides have increased by 50% (by merchanters) Rares are doubling every second :S God armour has decreased over 500k for sara! What else has changed which has had a nice feedback on us, the people: Prayer pots, once 5k.. now 6-7k each and 8k in bulks Hmm.. your not convinced yet.. let's see: Yew logs, started 200gp each @ rs2! Went up 50% and are going down aproximatly 25-33% now. Nature runes: 300ea steady price, slowly crawling up to 350gp ea and are going for an impressive 400gp ea in less then no time. Same goes for law runes, ofcourse. Chaos runes and deaths remain the same, duhhh... shop prices  My expectations, merchanters are like our fear for robots. We created them and before we know they are changing and conquering the world. True skill is not required anymore, we use the noobs to collect everything for us and this will go on.. sadly Fluctuations are THE key to pull down the runescape-society of merchanters. But on the other hand, some of them will be able to make massive profits.
  13. still nobody knows, as far as I've heard, It's not even certain to receive birdnests from the island. Still waiting for confirmation though. But it could be the ' bonus' received. But don't count on getting bird nests every time you let them woodcut for you.
  14. For myself, I am a big economist  I was thinking this: When pure essence came out, lots of people had huge stashes of Pure Essence in their bank, so the demand wasn't extremely high. People just continued to produce natures and law runes, but slowly people realized that their stock would be drained quickly at this rate, so people started to buy more, just in case prices would go sky high. Now their stocks have run out, so people are asking more then others offer, so prices are going sky high. This means, less offer, means less natures and laws! Less natures means less yew longbows to be alched, so less flax required! :o ' I hope you can still follow me, but eventually, their will be a balance. Flax prices will go down a little bit, but not that much, but Pure Essence prcies will surely go even with the flax prices, I'd say around 125gp ea for both. This is because there is no flax required, if there are no yew longbows to alch, since yew longbows are the perfect item to alch! Economics is all about balances and there is going to be a balance between the high alch value of yew longbows, the costs of natures (and so the cost of pure essence  ), the cost of flax  and the cost of yew logs. Yew logs are already dropping, so this creates room for items such as natures to go up. This will allow pure essence to be a little bit more expensive, so more people will be mining pure essence, instead of picking flax. TIP: Magic guild pure essence mining is faster then flax picking! If pure essence will make the same price as flax, more people will be mining pure essence, because of the higher money/hour and the little mining experience. An excuse would be strining your own flax, which gives good crafting experience and bowstrings are worth more then flax. ~~~~~ I hope I have given a clear picture about Runescapes economy and I hope you can understand, because I am no teacher 8-) *ex- The improve loot rating from miscaline will not affect flax prices, as the amount of flax received from the island is about 0.1% - 1% of what flax pickers can pick during the 24 hour process. :?
  15. As far as I can tell, the mini-game has been balanced impressivly. Products are closer and even a little over the normal street price. Great news about getting the yew tree seed and some herb seeds. This is really more then the 75k you invested. Also, as far as I' ve heard, nobody has found the ' extra bonus ' for putting alot of effort into the minigame. Keep posting a few screenies, because all the postive feedback is good advertising for this fun minigame! 12pure34
  16. well, thats a nice profit, yew seeds and rannar seeds and a few herbs. So the new rewards are worth it after all maybe? Please share some screenshots or some information about your new loot from the workers with the popularity and money input and say if you think it it was worth the 'trouble'.. (its fun  ) and if you will continue, even if it on a weekly base, instead of a daily base.
  17. dont forget mages dont have special attacks, rnage has mage shorts and long, melle have all drag weps, mages have none *stiring it up is fun  * *kuch* no specials? So you say magic cannot -stop someone from moving (etangle and frozen) -leech off life to heal yourself (blood spells) -Cannot decrease the enemies stats (curse etc) -Do not save lifes and items (teleports) -Are able to stop anyone from teleporting (teleblock) Ontopic: Combination prayers are a bad idea, unless the enemy has smite, you really have no chance to pk someone, because only half the damage is done by all types of attacks. I think they are mage and range boosters
  18. Well, I'm hearing a lot of comments about the old system that really let down on us. Is there anyone who has new results about the mini-game with or without having done the new quest? Thank you for sharing, 12pure34
  19. But are you actually going to try, now Jagex updated the island to increase the amount of resources you get per time/gold? Jagex also said pest control and temple trekking had great! ( ) rewards, but they turned up.. average..

  21. *Most of you have already heard about the upgrading of the island of Miscellania. The loot gotten from the islands workers has been increased and when done the new quest, the reward even Increases more! *What are your thoughts about the Old System of Miscellania and the improvements with the new update and the new Quest? *Some questions: -Have you ever used Miscellania people to gather resources for you? -If you did, did you like the results and how much did you spend/earn? -Do you think the updates made Miscellania more worthwhile, to spend time and money in it, to receive xp. and resources? Thank you for sharing your thoughts, 12pure34
  22. Gambling.. Ruins.. More.. Then.. You.. Would.. Like.. You should know the risks, but it still is a shame you lost it all. Good luck getting it all back, silly how you can lose hours of work in 2 fights.
  23. uloveme is a well known player and not a lowlypher at all, she has actually been one of the best since RSC together with Zezima and both are not no-lyphers  Gratz to all maxed out players atm and the future ones 8-)
  24. I once went with 500k to lumbridge and gave 20 people ranging from lvl 3-10 a nice sum of 25k ea I was just happy, good music on.. nothing better then giving away things and actually help the other person with it.
