  1. I made a new account once just so I could try a private server and it ended up stealing the password of that account. So only use private servers if you enjoy having your account stolen.
  2. I will be married so it is tough to say. If I am able to continue playing on a fairly regular basis, then hopefully I can get 99 in everything, keep up with quests, and make more friends.
  3. I usually try to not die anyway because I usually solo stuff and I don't usually make it back to where I died to get my stuff. Plus it is a huge inconvenience to die anyway.
  4. The random event update is already one of my top 5 updates of all of 2009.
  5. While doing all of the quests doesn't seem to take that long to some people, this is most likely just an illusion because you are constantly doing different things, instead of just one thing for a long amount of time, much like when time seems to fly past when you are actively working on something as opposed to sitting in a waiting room. People also don't take into account the time it takes to get the necessary skill levels to do the quests or the money some quests require to obtain various items needed for the quests. Many of the quests also take many hours to complete: it took me over 5 hours to complete Mournings Ends Part 2 and about 7 hours to complete While Guthix Sleeps, to give a few examples. Some of the quests also require some abstract thinking, while skills usually involved concrete thinking (fish at a fishing spot to obtain fish, cut a tree for woodcutting, et cetera). So, in my opinion, even though some skills might take longer to get to 99 than it takes to get all of the quests done, the amount of overall skill involved in completing all of the quests means that it is more prestigious to have a quest point cape than a skill cape.
  6. I don't think I will just all of the sudden stop playing one day. I will probably start playing less and less until I eventually don't play anymore. I may not even quit altogether, but just play a few days a month instead of how much I play now (probably too much btw). As of right now though, I have no plans of quitting, although school is starting back up in a few days so I will have to limit how much I play (last semester of college ftw). But even if I stop playing for an extended amount of time, if Runescape is still around I would probably pick it back up at some point.
  7. Not usually. Even if I were to die I would just be inconvenienced with having to resupply myself with stuff, which isn't too hard.
  8. Ok, so I had a take home final exam this week due Thursday at 9:00 am. Instructions were to turn it into the professor's receptionist. I worked on the exam Wednesday afternoon and finished it around 5:30 pm or so and went to turn it in because I couldn't turn it in Thursday morning before the deadline because of an exam that I had from 8-10 and the receptionists usually don't get to campus until 8, sometimes 9. The receptionist had already left for the day, so I put the exam in my professor's mailbox. Today, I received an email from the professor saying my exam was not scored because I didn't turn it in to the receptionist like instructed. I sent an email back to the professor explaining why I turned it in to the mailbox instead of just waiting and I am yet to get a reply back because I sent it not too long ago. Am I right to be upset about this? Just to note, the exam was optional and replaced the lowest score on the previous exams if you did better, but this could increase my grade by quite a bit.
  9. I would play the Spanish version.
  10. Definitely over 1500 hours.
  11. The KBD lair next to the Ikov ice maze was a pretty interesting find. I'll keep my eyes open for others!
  12. I was way off on my predictions for the stats of the d plate, except the one for ranged defence.
  13. Dragon platebody maybe? Just a guess of course.
  14. People that judge a game by its graphics don't know anything about computer games, and as such, their opinion doesn't matter.
  15. I use guides if I get stuck, or if I'm helping out my friends on a quest that I did awhile ago and don't remember what to do.
  16. No pic, no proof :shame:
  17. 1) Get to 69 construction and boost with Evil Dave's spicy stew and crystal saw and then buy 2 marble blocks (325k each) and 4 gold leafs (130k each) and 2 bolts of cloth (less a 1k each I think). At 75 construction you wouldn't need any boosts. 2) Light the burners with marrentil. Use the bones on the altar. 3) You can. Search the official forums for "gilded altar" and search the results.
  18. I buy yew longbow(u) and bowstrings and fletch those. I make some profit by doing that.
  19. F2P should not get updates because they don't pay. End of story.
  20. I think that getting 99 in any skill is respectable because even if you buy the materials, you still have to process the stuff which takes awhile.
  21. Maybe it's somewhere in that huge pit that is by Juna.
  22. Until I see an official website from Jagex, I'm not convinced that Mechscape is real. And I don't mean just a domain name, I want a full functioning site.
