  1. THE GLADIATORZ VERSUS THE BLACKNIGHTS 1 hour cap All styles Dung On Corrupt off No sniper cap North spawn attack No wearing other clan's cape On Sunday, I was approached by our friend Vanzant for a one-day-prep CWRI fight. Seeing as we hadn't fought them in a while, I accepted the fight hoping for some good fun. It was ten minutes before the fight and our pull was looking horrid. Thankfully, we had around 5 more people join in the the last 5 minutes. We started the fight with 26 people to BK's 34. As the fight started, we kept up fairly well for being outnumbered so much. Seeing this, we decided to go into overdrive mode. Still outnumbered, we started catching up quicker and quicker. Soon, we were killing BK members faster than they could return with 1 hits and ko's almost every pile. It wasn't long before we took our very first lead. However, our members knew that BK still had more people than us on voice so we knew we couldn't get over confident. We transitioned like mad-men. Downing 4-5 people in a row. There was no way to tank us once we got in the groove. The binds flew often, the arrows dealt heavy damage, the blasts suffocated, and the melee wrapped it all up. The end was approaching quickly and we weren't slowing down. As time expired, The Gladiatorz reigned supreme. Thanks for the fight BK. It was truly enjoyable. To my fellow Gladiatorz, I give you the gift of flame broiled chicken!
  2. We used to play CoD a lot as a clan, but most of our members play Runescape regularly so we're mostly playing that together isntead of different games.
  3. Sucks that THE had to pull out. I don't think you're being particularly modest by claiming that they have more members than you, though. By that measure, Gladz have about 2x the members of any other clan in the clan world (~230 retireds total).
  4. Unlucky, Oranges. Looks like you guys did well despite the numbers.
  5. I shall scream at James Potter later for not posting here.

    U Mad?

How do you feel trolling affects the clan world, both on a local (your clan) and global (clan community) scale? It's ridiculously annoying, but has to be tolerated. People want to enjoy themselves, piss others off etc. - Deal with it. It makes you look stupid if it fails, however, because some people are horrible trolls. If you can't write coherently, get away from the keyboard. How do you feel about clans that flat out ban such behaviour? That's too imposing for my liking. Clans shouldn't act in a way that makes their clan seem disrespectful, but a blanket ban can be over-the-top. Do you feel like there is an imbalance in how trolling is accepted? If so, how do you restore the balance? Trolling has always been around. Back in the day, Tip.it was far more unruly than it is now. Sure, most of the clan community is on RSC but the difference between then and now is huge. The clan world in that respect is a lot calmer than before. I have nothing wrong with trolling.
  7. [hide=TWR Information]Link to the declaration: http://forum.tip.it/topic/277623-clan-europe-declares-on-gladz/ Winning clan (both name + initials): The Gladiatiorz - G Winning clan's member-list: http://rly.cc/ml/gladiatorz Losing clan (both name + initials): Envy - E Losing clan's member-list: http://rly.cc/ml/clanenvy[/hide] Gokuu and I arranged a pair of matched option wars a few days ago, hoping to test our organisation. Round 1: Starting Gladz: 35 (cut to 17) Envy: 17 Since we pulled about 200% of Envy's pull, we decided to split our numbers by having those with even combat levels in Round 1. Round 1: Summary We started off slowly, going down 16-17 at the beginning, but gradually got back into a rhythm. With a few solid tanks, we managed to end with 10 warriors remaining. As always, I tanked awesomely. Round 1: Ending Gladz: 10 Envy: 0 Round 2: Starting Gladz: 32 (cut to 20) Envy: 20 Since Envy didn't have many people on, we allowed them to invite a few friends for the final round so that we wouldn't have to cut so many. Round 2: Summary We started off well, with Dragonrabi13 being a beast, but the tanking of our odd combat level unit was shown to be sub-par with several people being KO'ed. Envy performed well and ended with 13 members. And to start off our excuse machine: Thought that was pretty funny...although needless to say I was like "WHHATTTT" when he told me mid-fight. :shame: Round 2: Ending Gladz: 0 Envy: 13 Thanks for the fights, Envy. We learnt our lesson: Only let people with an even combat level fight in wars. (sorry for a lack of pictures)
  8. Ninane - I don't think it's possible for a clan to break into the Top 10 anymore. CR managed it, but as recent events have shown, their momentum has gone and they're back outside. It is only possible to assume you've guaranteed Top 10 (in the medium term) if you manage to break through, peak, slump, and still remain within its ranks. Despite having plenty of applications, full of dedicated recruits, there is usually a loss of members over time, even if they were great members. We can cut inactives one month then someone who was previously active will end up going inactive; a lovely, brutal cycle. To raise up the ranks thesedays, you simply need to be able to maintain your memberlist for an indefinite time period. This won't get you Top 10 since that requires a huge leap in numbers, but will be able to get you to the top of the bracket below. If you look at Gladz, our memberlist is nearly at its lowest in as far as I can remember (our lowest being 57 members). We simply have risen out of obscurity - which we were in several months ago - to some form of relevance by being able to maintain our memberlist as other clans dwindled. Cynical, but true.
  9. Good job, Oranges. :shades:
  10. Thanks for the fight.
  11. They won't recover to their former strength, at least not in the short-term. Shane needs to make the clan stable again and get some new officials. Even though only about 30 members have left so far, the coming weeks will test the resolve of the remaining members intensely. It would also be wise for them not to pick fights, as they have with CR. It would be even wiser of CR not to crash them back; they will simply lose a rival in the long-term.
  12. I have a week until University. I think it would be time to quit. :shades:
  13. We don't decline anyone due to a lack of experience. It's more likely that we will decline someone due to a lack of effort. If people are willing to learn, we are willing to teach. We're always aiming to improve our memberbase.
  14. Ghetto told me to watch out for his bird gear but I never saw it.
  15. You were like a sore thumb, it was a bad decision on our part.
  16. Your pictures are terrible, as you said. Thanks for the fights, TKO. Our first round was pretty disappointing. After calling an obvious pile at the beginning, it wasn't spectacular. A few people tanked but nothing amazing. The second round was pretty fun, though. (round 1 -> all-styles) Nice magic level, Lordhotshot.
  17. What are the long-term prospects for Runescape? We have already seen the quantity of updates decline; will we be reduced to monthly updates in the future? Why isn't the current drop system simply incorporated into all Runescape worlds?
  18. If you can get one per day and it's free, it can be used in PvP. Same with Explorer Rings.
  19. It seems extremely useful. It will be useful in both small and large fights. In small fights, the extra food will always be welcome. In large fights, you will be able to maintain a fuller inventory of food after being sniped. I'll get it ASAP.
  20. 2-3 times normally, PK the rest of the week.
