  1. Sounds good to me. It can be really hard to tell someone who has American Indian of any tribe in their blood, though, as it's the last thing people think of. I normally do quite well picking out different asian ethnicities, but that is proably because I used to work with a bunch of Indonesians, roomed with some Folk from Japan, and hung out with some folk from Taiwan. College is a great ethnicity educator
  2. I think your teacher was just a Pensacola Pelicans fan, and wanted to have an equation that rooted for the home team. LP was right. None of these variables are proved, or currently provable. Maybe this is even an attempt to get your math homework done by the people on the forums :shame: Anyway, something's a little fishy about this, and...D'oh!...the pelican just ate the little fishy.
  3. I just killed her 5 times, and she dropped 5. She always drops them.
  4. I tried to alch my last nat, but was told I didn't have enough runes to cast high alch :wall:
  5. So pompous "math people" can pat eachother on the back for finding a math problem noone can solve. If you ask me, spending time finding an equation you CAN'T solve is the biggest waste of time in the world. Math is used to solve problems, not to...Uhhh, do nothing. You'd have to be a pompous wagon to even consider finding such an equation. You are right, math is used to solve problems. However, the hardest math problems, when solved, help to find useful tools for "real life." For example, the predecessor of this equation(c^2=a^2+b^2), , when solved, gave us the Pythagorean Theorem set of equations which are very useful for calculation of trusses in building structures, shear in bolts and dowels, and even (surface) tension calculations when dealing with torsion. So it is good to come up with a problem which supposedly can't be solved. It gives mathematicians something to do, and, when they're done chewing on an equation, it can often be applied by a physics or engineering researcher, and make the world a better place! :D
  6. Yes, you can, just raise another cat and sell again. Get a new cat from Gertrude, the lady you got the first one from.
  7. There's another cool game on steam (Halflife mod main server) called Natural Selection. It's really fun; has anyone tried it?
  8. Diagonal Proliferation FTW! \ My opinion is that countries that have them should keep them, in order to keep the status quo as far as world safety. However, as new countries show a degree of maturity and economic stability, they should definitely be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. Countries that are not mature enough or economically stable enough to refrain from selling them to the highest bidder should not have nuclear weapons. Just like children should not be allowed to buy and play with guns until they are mature enough to know how to use it, keeping themselves and those around them safe.
  9. Not irrational. Trying to be funny. Just pointing out that none of this wouldve happened if we didnt make nukes in the first place. If we didn't have nukes, you think anyone else would think they should have them too? - NO! Thats not irrational is it? Just to put it in perspective, none of this would have happened if Werner Von Braun, working with the Germans in World War II, had not developed the rocket engine idea everyone uses in missiles, either. But either way, if you want to live in the past, talking about how it's the U.S.'s fault, go ahead. It won't save you from a problem that is happening today. Iran is a problem today. As a side note, in your past posts, you kept referring to nukes as "toys." They are not toys, and it's that mindset that gets small children killed playing with guns. You do not allow a small child to have a gun, and you don't allow President Ahminijad to have nuclear technology. That would be irrational.
  10. http://arenascape.net Just making a little publicity for Silvy's game here, it's the foundation of this entire site, so you guys better play it :) Just another voice for Arenascape. I've played it for a while, and love it. I haven't been able to play it recently, though. I should check out the new update... :-w Arenascape FTW!! \
  11. Woot! I love this kind of game! I'll try it.

    Football!

I used to get out and play a bit with my mates in college, but the fellows from Brazil and Indonesia would almost always run circles around the rest of us. I don't get to play much any more, though
  13. I know that these days, people go for the games with better graphics, more requirements, etc. I find that some older text-based games are still fun to play. Has anyone heard of Trade Wars, or Merchant Empires? I used to run a Trade Wars server. Good times... :boohoo: Anyway, I play ZeldereX now. Post your favorite text-based games here, and why you like them.
  14. Okay, first things first. There has not been a draft for this war. So your video is probably from someplace like...let's see... Palestine? Because in that area of the world, there is a name for soldiers who refuse to go to war. Mostly they call them Dead. Think about it. What are soldiers being paid for? What are they being trained for? When you join any military, you are required to do whatever your commanding officer tells you. You sign that paper the first day you're in, usually. I personally know families who have lost boys in the war, but I also know families who lost loved ones in the twin towers. If it were me, I would rather die fighting for my country than in a terrorist attack versus civilians. Casey Sheehan died well, and should be honored. The more his mother does in this direction, the more she besmirches his life and his death.
  15. I've personally done it many times, and bacab is right.
  16. I used to do pushups with my brother sitting on my shoulders. It's basically the poor man's bench press. Just keep getting heavier people until you can only do about 5, and that will help with your bench press.
  17. I am aware that the Sunni and the Shiites hate each other and kill each other for any little thing. However, that said, what they need to become a successful people right now is not anarchy, which is what would happen if we just left. What they need is a strong police force(This is what Saddam had). Currently we are training their own people to become that police force. That is why we will not leave. Look at what is happening in Lebanon right now because they can not control their populace. They are in the midst of anarchy because a small group angered a more powerful nation, and they could not stop that group. Controlling your populace is necessary to sovreignity. There is no way around that. I don't doubt that President Bush could run a world-wide oil-theft ring. He is at least as capable as Kofi Annan  . But then, Snoop Dog could be a terrorist. Without proof, all you have are conspiracy theories. You need to work on this one, though. First off, look up the president's salary. He does not need money. Second, if he wanted to get oil from some prosperous, defenseless country, The U.S. would have attacked Kuwait, as Iraq is anything but prosperous and most of the money brought in went into building Saddam's army. Yes, this conspiracy theory needs work.
  18. Actually, the one who pulled this scam was not the United States. Saddam managed to pull off a good enough scam that we actually believed he had WMD's. He didn't get the result he wanted to get by threatening us with his imaginary weapons, but nevertheless the hoax was not pulled by us, it was pulled by Saddam. Also, in case you were wondering, order has not been restored. that much is very obvious from the sectarian killing almost every day. As far as the oil, the last time I checked, he is not on the board of any oil firm, in the U.S. or abroad. You probably are just parroting what you've heard from some other President Bush-hater, as there is not reason to believe he is getting wealthier from oil. So, a link from The National Enquirer? I can't wait. (besides, since when has he said he doesn't drink?) Can you imagine talking formally for your whole life? This was not a news conference, it was a meeting between two friends. I seriously doubt that Prime Minister Blair will now declare war on the U.S. because President Bush talked to him as one of "the guys." And President Bush can't drink beer? Anyway, the thought of Hillary Clinton drunk is extremely disturbing :ohnoes: [/b]
  19. Last time I checked, you actually can high alch yew longs in f2p. You just can't use, sell, etc them. I did it a while ago, and they still gave me 768 gp each. You might have to have them in your inventory when you switch, though. I don't know if they can be withdrawn from the bank. I do know that you used to be able to high-alch them.
  20. I doubt you got past 7th grade science class.... We don't use imperial in science. We use metric ;) Imperial is also used in science. Farenheit also has an absolute scale, it's called Rankine. Also, there are 5280 ft/mile. It's just something you memorize. Yes, there are cubic feet, and yes, metric is easier. Nobody said life is easy :wall:
  21. I'm sorry, but why wouldn't we care? Aren't we all supposed to care for each other? Then why do we have borders, countries? Why not make 1 huge nation. I say leave the other countries alone, they want to kill each themselfs. great go for it. As long as it doesn't infere with us, we should'nt even bother. That's a philosophy that is flawed in today's society. A lesson that America learned as a country was that it's better to fight a war on your enemies' soil than to let them soil your homeland. Terrorists are not sane people, and if you don't believe me try walking down a street in Baghdad that is NOT policed by Americans. Saddam threatened to bring the chaos to our homeland, and our actions were the correct ones. Also, bringing stability to Iraq is a worthy goal for all nations. On Topic: Are we dangerous? Absolutely, and we like to stay that way. To terrorists. 8-)
  22. I think your basic equation needs to be defined for anyone who doesn't know what it means, as well, because many people just say "E=MCsquared," and others don't know what it means. The E stands for the energy required to move an object. The M stands for the mass of this object. For a person, that would your weight divided by the earth's gravity (9.81 meters/sec/sec or 32.2 feet/sec/sec) the C stands for the speed of light. This is (in english units) approximately 186,282.397 miles/second wikipedia says this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_of_light Convert your feet to miles, and your seconds to hours, and just call it infinite. It is impossible to get enough energy to go the speed of light. Just backing up No_OnE. He's right :-) Side note: Hey! the site even talks about the refractive index :-) It's all right there. Also, I think light goes fastest because it is the particle with the least mass :-) argue if you want, but have you ever tried to measure a light particle? It's possible
  23. Use the stone on her tomb, kill a moss giant for the key, get it out of the chest. Rinse and repeat :-) I did it 3 times because I'm such a loser and keep dying in there.
  24. Use Dharoks at the Monkey altar. That's the best way :-)
  25. Same-gender realtionships have nothing to do with love. Love is not what makes you sleep with someone. Lust is. Love is what makes you think of someone else before yourself, not what makes you sleep with them.
