  1. Does it matter? It is only 99k. And I think because when they released them, they were better/the same than/as obby capes which where 300k back then.
  2. I think this was a bit later, but there is one top contender from back then not in that list (Lilyuffie88) and she is still playing.
  3. Under Getting there should be mentioned that you can also get there by fairy ring via the mudskipper point ;)

I think those numbers are quite confusing and that many new members would also be confused about that the 78 en 468 should be added together to get their 546 total bank spaces ;)
  5. Couldn't it be the desert dungeon about the water god being upset? (No idea what name it had, the dungeon entrance is near the eagle spot) And isn't the room with the tables the dungeon under the gnome city? (where you need to fix that elven machine for the crystal chimes) And you are right about the goblin place, I don't think it got named, the entrance is in the goblin cave near the fishing guild.
  6. Yeah they're both 200Ms but agility is a lot slower and more click intensive. I'm not saying that 200M xp in cooking isn't a big achievement, I certainly don't have a skill with 200M xp, or even 200M xp total for that matter. But I do know that agility is a lot slower and hence it is 'worth' more. And agility is hardly easier than cooking for 99% of the Runescape population. Talking while cooking is a lot easier than cooking while training agility. Agility is pretty much harder in every single way. "harder" is not a fact, it differs by person, you can only say it is slower and that the "average" person finds the skill harder. And if someone cooked to 200M with anchovies it could be harder then agility to 200M, this is of cores not normal but it can show you that for one person cooking may be a lot harder then agility. In the end you are not getting the 200M for fame (at least it should not be your main goal, as you will spend many hours for it), you are getting that 200M for personal achievement and for fun, the fame should be a side effect or the extra push for you to continue. A 200M cooking can mean more then a 200M agility to some people. So to an average person 200M agility is harder then 200M cooking, but that does not make it a fact that it is harder or not for everyone and certainly not that it is worth more.
  7. There has been, but it was deleted by a mod in a few minutes before many people could see it (as personal attacks are against the rules). But to be honest Devnull I think you are taking some things to serious and make big things out of small problems (doesn't mean that they are not a problem) which could lead to people being irritated at the style you post, which may be the cause of you thinking they are acting cold.
  8. If multiple people want to do an update, why not let them? :) Then the reader can pick the one they like the most. I rather have 2-3 week updates then one I don't like ;)

They did drop loot, just not as good loot as they do now. I used to kill them for fun when I ran across them, I don't remember them dropping anything worth picking up, at least? Kinda fuzzy on it, obviously. The point remains unchanged unless they dropped way more than I'm thinking, though. I know for certain that they could drop things like dragon daggers, rune stuff and some other valuable stuff too, but those were all so rare that they weren't worth it (also not that with jessica's ring you would increase the loot of the revenants back then too)
  10. Couldn't that green strip of land be a balloon crash site? Not sure as I didn't crash it the last time I did the quest and the first time was years ago.

  12. How does it behave for you when you have RuneScape or some other heavy thing already running? In my case, with a P4 2.4 GHz Single-Core system, it can get more laggy than a pack of slow turtles. It has been made worse since being forced into upgrading FireFox from 2.x-series to at least 3.5.x-series, and dealing with Java running separate from FireFox. The two of them are literally bouncing off each other and lagging to a crawl. I'm stuck at an ugly hardware limit, with no upgrade path available. :( Heh, I already know that Internet bandwidth isn't the problem. Currently have 25 Mbps FIOS here, strangely enough. Nah, it's the rate at which servers respond (even though I've severely upped the simultaneous connection limits) that happens to be the problem for me, and/or the running programs slamming off each other. Yet one more reason, which I've already made note of before, as to why having the mobile version accessible to all is a good idea. ;) It could be that your single core system is giving you the problem, as it runs fine on my 2Ghz Dual core is doing fine. However I rather think it is your RAM, as it seems your computer can't handle to much things at the same time. If you have 1 GB of RAM I would suggest to get at least 2GB of RAM (I personally like the 4GB of RAM I have). Also if you have troubles with firefox, I would suggest trying chrome or safari, as those are in most cases quicker then firefox.
  13. Your vid is about a small ninja instead of zombie.
  14. To be honest Devnull, I don't know how tip.it can make your computer laggy, when I try if my internet connection is working I always try tip.it first because it is one of the quickest loading websites I know. (google is faster of cores, but that one is often completely cached). And I know the crew keeps in mind that there should not be to many big pictures on a page. Oh and if you think it loads that fast because I have a fast internet connection, I don't. I have a max of 700KB/s (average would be 400-500KB/s) and I also have a dual core processor build in my computer.
  15. It isn't a RoW drop, but a drop from the rare drop table update that came with the RoW update. You don't need to have a RoW to get the drop. Not sure if you meant that, but I though just to make that point clear ;)
  16. Hi unfortunately the clue is already on the website as this isn't a "riddle clue" on the website but a "search clue". You can find it here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails_search.htm Though I think adding pictures to those "search clues" would be nice :)
  17. I think it would be a waste of coding time as I think nearly no-one using it and to be honest most pages of tip.it have little loading because there are only a few pages with many big pictures on it. Also you can make the screen as small as you want, hide the toolbars if you think they clutter up the page. It is a nice idea, but we don't live in 2000 anymore, nearly everyone has high speeds on their normal computers, most people have bigger screens and many people even have two screens.
  18. When i box staked i got scammed couple times. Wonder if that's what you mean it's not "total random". nope I mean that theres other hidden mechanics like PID out there that only a few people have realized. The actual dice rolls involved in combat are random. However, things like PID, kiting, attack styles, etc. can be abused to shift the odds in your favor. Nope its not random  theres just more to it then you realize. Theres a reason some players win boxes 60-70% of the time and others lose more often, and its not luck of the draw. On computers making something completely random is nearly impossible for big systems, there is always some sort of algorithm which has small loopholes in it, if you know those loopholes and know how to use them to your advantage you could do that indeed, but I doubt it would be as much as 60-70%.
  19. Not true, it has been 19 hours since Suomi got xp. If we assume that he went to sleep right after that and slept for 9-10 hours, did 3-4 hours of bicycling and other stuff he could be playing 6 hours straight without you seeing any xp coming in. He has done this before ;) Edit: Oh and btw he hasn't gained a total skill rank in 3 months, he must have burned out or the other top players are very though :P
  20. They should. *looks at the Crew* 8-) *Looks at the multiple threads about the subject already in website discussion*
  21. I think that is normal, he kind of looks like a normal player, the only thing different is that he has a yellow name. And I don't know why they gave him a trade option if you can't trade him? Or can you do that if you can buy the max cape from him?
  22. Chopping trees with herrings? I think some slayer like skill but then for gathering skills would be a tiny bit better :P
  23. I've had ring of wealth shine when getting the "new" drops and as I said they updated the previous drops from that table along with the update so it seems very likely that they're linked in some way. We'll never know for sure exactly how the rare drop table works and can only speculate to the exact specifics of it, especially when it comes to the ring of wealth. It could very well be that they're both actual rare drop tables (rather than one being just a group of drops they like to use) and the new items have been split amongst them (Big bones as a drop in the gem table while Torstol is a drop from Dragon Med table). Who knows? It'd be impossible to prove that theory anyway as everyone that has the dragon med group also has the gem group :P. Figuring out drop logic is always something I've enjoyed doing and unfortunately haven't been able to "research" the updated drops in detail yet, maybe I should get on that soon. That could indeed be true, but what it makes even more strange are that RoW now works for clues too. As I experienced myself and what I found really strange was that when I was killing cave slimes and got a clue (RoW shines) I did only get the clue and not the 100% drops and this not once but always. Maybe that would help with researching and it could just be a bug but I think it involves more.
  24. While I was gopping there were nearly no crashers. Gop addict is great for afking gop.
  25. Nice generic response Aiel i know it's linked to combat levels, but i assume jagex aren't too happy with rc being trained faster with cave crawlers, ganodermics are even faster, so maybe they broke the connection early before it got too out of control, i'll spend another 10 hours down there and see how i go, it's just that i got 12 in my first 9 hours, then none in the next 6, just kinda dramatic change that is all. If that were the case, they'd 'nerf' across the board. Also Cave crawlers are still faster as you can effectively put up a cannon, use a steel titan and melee them. @OP You know how many of these "nerf" threads we got at this forum? A lot and most of them are nonsense, if you have bad luck doesn't mean they got nerved.
