Player Mods, Ethics, and Dicing
From what I read on the forums, it would appear they are treating merely hosting these games as an actionable offence, which I find repugnant since no change in the official rules was made to reflect that position. Quick find code: 250-251-635-62768514 The QFC I just posted was made by a player in a similar predicament as this topic's original poster. The player was muted for hosting a dice game, and he believes the abuse report was sent by another hoster that did not appreciate the competition. I also made some posts on this thread saying that if it indeed Jagex's position to take action against you for merely hosting these types of games, it needs to be clearly written in the game rules. I got a Fmod response with my first post to which i responded. The Fmod then stopped replying in that thread and is apparantly letting the thread die (currently on page 37 of the section it was posted in incase you want to read it before the page 51 monster devours it.)

Full Completionist Cape Requirement List (Including Trim. Reqs)
Getting even just 1 champion's challenge scroll (needed to unlock the music track "victory is mine") is proving to be a very annoying endeavor. This one aspect of the regular completionist cape requirements is ridiculosly luck based. Perhaps a small change to the champion challenge system for those that are not fortunate enough to get a scroll is in order. For example, if you kill x ammount of a monster (the number can be really high like 2,000), the next time you speak to larxus, he would say something like "Your wanton slaughter of imps has caught the attention of the imp champion, to avenge his fallen brethen he extends to you a formal challenge." This would not prevent you from getting a challenge scroll before meeting the quota, probably something Jagex would never do, but would remove the luck aspect of completing this requirement.

C Maul Vs C Rapier
A monster's official weakness is the type of attack it has the lowest maximum defence roll against. The thing is, for most monsters, the maximum defence rolls for the other styles are not high enough to warrant deviating from your highest damage output weapon.

Glitch with seed of life?
For seed returns from a dead patch, I think the odds are skewed in favor of the lower herb seeds. You are more likely to see a tarromin, harralander, toadflax i.e. seeds as opposed to snapdragon, dwarf weed, and torstol seeds being recieved froma dead patch.

Rings for slayer?
Last night while killing dark beasts, I noticed that you don't have to have the ring of wealth equipped before the killing blow, but rather before the system gives out the drop. Those that do want to do a ring switch may find that usefull for monsters with long death animations like dark beasts.

Hotkeys.
I think Jagex's stand is this Using mousekeys program that's part of your operating system: Legal Using a mousekey program that has to be downloaded from somewhere (i.e. Super Mousekeys for RS): Illegal Their rational is that this 3rd party program is especially versatile (more so than regular mousekeys) and provides an unfair advantage over those that don't download it. I mentioned Super Mousekeys for RS because months ago I read a RS forum thread where the original poster asked why this program is illegal while regular mousekeys are. This thread got JMod responses, my paraphrasing of why it's illegal is my closest memory to what their stated rational was.

Tip.It Times - 13th March 2011
First Article: Our disapointment is the fault of Jagex. For the better part of last year we have been hearing that smithing will get an update. We were lead to believe that the update would give smithing a use and not merely be another method of training the skill. In the behind the scenes, Jagex even called artisan's workshop "the long awaited smithing update." We, frankely, were not waiting for this update. Even setting aside the fact that artisan's workshop did not give what we wanted, artisan's workshop even fails as the new training method it was intended to be. From what I hear it can't compete with the speed of adamant platebody smithing nor the efficiency of superheating gold ore while smealting it at a furnace. It's good for new players that can't really afford to throw wealth into the training of smithing as the lowest level activities of artisan's workshop provide the materials for you.

ZMI question
Slash, stab, crush didn't exist back when mystic staffs were introduced. The only stats weapons had back then for melee combat were weapon aim and weapon power.

Mage level and accuracy
Yes magic level affects accuracy, it works with your magic attack bonus to determine your maximum magic attack roll. That maximum attack roll is an indicator of how accurate you are with magic. Agreed f2p has limited options so you aren't going to have very high magic attack bonus, and your best prayer option is mystic might. Idk if mystic might helps with magic defence but I've always played it like it does (like in f2p fist of guthix as the hunted). The ingame description of the basic magic prayers is that it increases magic, wheras augury specificly says magic accuracy. That may be an indicator that the mystic prayers do increase magic as in helping both magic attack and defence rolls.

Mage level and accuracy
What's your magic attack bonus? Are you using any prayers or curses as well? In order for your binding spell to hit you're magic attack roll must be higher than their magic defence roll. If you are on prayers get augury if you don't have it, otherwise try the leech magic curse. For the initial effect leech magic will add 5% to your magic attack roll while decreasing your opponent's magic by 10%. Since jagex says magic defence is part magic level and part defence level activate leech defence as well to make sure that the initial effects decrease your opponent's magic defence roll by 10%.

ZMI Runecrafting
I know BOB adds 7, but the problem lies that since we can't fill it without closing bank interface that calls into question if it really is worth it. I know about NPC contact, but using it to repair pouches is several clicks, for the purposes of getting the most exp per hour is it really worth going through the process every time it degrades? So far everyone seems in agreement that the small pouch is worth it.

ZMI Runecrafting
With BEXP weekend coming up I ask this question, does the abbyssal BOB's extra essence per trip mean more essence crafted per hour, or is the extra banking time of the zmi banker not worth it since we can't fill a familiar's inventory without closing the bank interface actually result in less essence crafted per hour? Also how far should i let my Giant pouch degrade before repairing it? Is the small pouch worth it? Two clicks to net two extra essence per trip (right click and select fill while in bank interface).

Are you ready for new high level Slayer content?
Did it seem noobish cause i droned on about the unique drops? If so sorry, it seemed appropriate to explain in detail.

Are you ready for new high level Slayer content?
Creature's name: Grendel Combat Level: 200 Slayer Level requirement: 95 Unique Drop/s: The most prominent drop is Grendel hide, a 100% drop. Like other dragon hides this can be tanned and made into leather. Tanners have never encountered animal skin this tough to tan so the process costs 5k per hide. This leather can then be worked by high level crafters (90+) into Grendel hide armor. The requirements to wear this new gear are the highest yet (either 85 or 90 in both ranged and defence). This armor would feature the highest bonuses rangers have enjoyed to date, including an unprecedented ranged str bonus from these equipment slots (ranging from 2 for the vambraces to 4 for the body) and drasticly increased magic defence (30 to 40 percent higher than pernix gear for that equipment slot). People who equip Grendel hide armor will experience a strange phenomena. While wearing any piece of Grendel you will be unable to take hold of any melee weapons or staffs as though there were a magnetic repulsion to them. However, the skin of Grendel cannot last very long seperated from it's body. As such, Grendel hide armor will crumble to dust after 3 hours of combat. Another unique drop is Grendel's nails, there is a very powerful venom within these nails which can be accessed by crushing them with a pestle and mortar. Crushed nails can be mixed into a weapon poison (++) by high level herblorists (85+) to make a new extreme potion, weapon poison (p+++). A weapon treated with this new powerful weapon poison will be extremely poisonous the poison starting at 108. Even monsters immune to all other forms of poisoning will find themselves subject to poisoning from a weapon treated with this foul concoction, although only starting from 48. Weapon poison (p+++) and any weapons or ammo treated with it are subject to the same rules as other extreme potions, meaning they will be untradeable and not useable in the wilderness. The rarest of Grendel's unique drops are pieces of ancestral lunar robes. Only the most skilled mages (85 to 90 in magic and defence) will be able to withstand the immense magic energies that can be felt while wearing them. These robes provide nothing in terms of physical defences but make up in having the highest magic attack bonuses seen yet for the specific equipment slots (apporximately 5 to 15 points higher than comparable virtus equipment) as well as providing a slight boost magic damage (ranging from 1% from the boots, to 5% for the robe top, 15% for the full set). If that wasn't enough these robes can also radiate a power that is absorbed by runes to enable them to not run out of energy when a mage draws power from them to cast a combat spell (each piece of the set gives increased odds of not using runes when casting spells, ranging from 2% from boots to 10% from robe top, 30% from full set). Location: In the Lunar Isle mine, in the room where you meet Cyrisus there is an openable passage that will remain locked until you are informed of its existance. Items Required to Slay: Technically none. Realistically antidragon shield or superantifire potion, antipoison, salamanders will help significantly. New Item Design: Grendel hide, leather, and armor are colored a greenish brown with seemingly random placements of a wavey purple line. Ancestral lunar robes are black adorned with silver cresent moons on the front and back. Monster's appearance: Grendel's apparance is unlike any other dragon in Runescape. It does not possess wings. When on all fours, it's body mass appears to be concentrated on the front, it's posture is reminiscent of a bulldog. It's scales are colored a greensih brown with purple spots that appear to be battlescars. It is also capable of standing on two legs, and when it does so, it show an underbelly scaled in such a way as it resembling chain armor. From it's claws, you might even see it's bright green poison dripping from the tips of it's nails. It attacks with dragonfire, it's melee attack it will swipe at you, and it will stand on it's hind legs for it's ranged attack where it fires it's nails you at rapid shortbow speed, returning back to all fours after 8 to 10 attacks. Scenario: (if any) Since time immemorial, the slayer masters have kept not only the location of Grendel, but also it's existence a closely guarded secret for not even they knew how to kill this dangerous creature. All manners of weapons and magicks they tried all proved invain. The best the slayer masters could do when the moonclan asked for their assistance was to follow it to it's home and seal it so that it could never get out. Since the secret behind hurting Grendel was discovered, today's slayer masters agreed that their most skilled pupils should now be given the oppertunity to test their skills against this creature. Upon reaching 95 slayer the next task Kuradal will give you will be a random number of Grendels. Having never heard of them before your character will want to know more, the following dialog ensues. You: Err, Kuradal? Kuradal: Yes? You: what's a Grendel? Kuradal: I'm not surprised you don't know, take this. *You are handed a key* Kuradal: Use that in a small room in Lunar Isle's mine and you should find Grendel's chamber, seeing it for yourself would be easier than me explaining it. Kuradal: Be prepared to defend against dragonfire, strong poison from fast ranged attacks, and do not rely on magic spells or artificial weapons. EDIT to add a too long, didn't read TL;DR: Grendel, a new type of dragon immune to all magic spells and artificial weapons (scimitar, rapier, arrows, etc.) accessible at 95 slayer. You can damage Grendel with unarmed attacks, but you're best bet would be "natural" weapons, like salamanders obtained from the hunting skill.

green dragon task
Have you tried the chaos tunnels? I don't know the route to take to get to them but they are in there. If you don't want to go through the wilderness at all, brutal green dragons in the ancient cavern count towards the task but are more difficult.

Earth Talismans Question
assuming that all items buy and sell at guide price, moss titan is 695.2 exp at 2.33 gp/exp and geyser titan is 783.2 exp at 11.05 gp/exp. I know blue charms are hard to come by, but is it really worth a more than 8 gp/exp difference to get the highest possible exp from your blues?

Runescape-Pk Epic fail 26m loss-in 30 secs
ouch, pjed as soon you cast ice barrage. This seems like a cautionary tale that if you farcast always have protect melee on, mages have lost the pj protection they were afforded in pvp and bounty worlds.

How impossibly rare are PVP items now?
In response to De latios: if they do have a pak yak that's even less of an issue since they will winter storage any pvp item they get meaning that a clan rush would have 0 chance of a pvp drop from someone killing revs from killing a rev hunter using a yak. Not everyone has a pack yak, in my time rev hunting it's rare for me to see another rev hunter using a yak.
-
How impossibly rare are PVP items now?
it's not like anyone is going to stay long enough to get more than 4 rev drops, people will tele out after 3 if they have a chaotic weapon, so that is rather flawed logic, now if a rev hunter is skulled that's just silly for them to stay in there. It's also silly to kill for food, are you just simply out and can't be bothered banking? If so, killing someone is more effort than going to a bank.

How impossibly rare are PVP items now?
Today, 2 corrupt dragon scimitars, both from revenant imp :P. Revenants are actually fun when you don't get pked.
-
How impossibly rare are PVP items now?
Yes according to jagex, however with drop odds as they are and the difficulty of killing, revenants are a faster source of the pvp items.

How impossibly rare are PVP items now?
Single combat wouldn't make it too easy to survive a pker can still come in and try to rush with dragon claws, however multicombat along with teleblock's high accuracy (even with a little over 100 magic defence i still get teleblocked easily) makes the area unplayable for the purposes of monster hunting. This risk of player killers is a counterbalance to the potential reward, however they come so often in such numbers that the area is simply frustrating. In summary there's danger, and there's unplayability. Pvp enabled and multicombat equals unplayable. I don't know much about revenant behavior, but even without forinthry bracelet revenant aggression is not like other monster's aggression. If you run in without forinthry you won't find yourself getting piled by a darkbeast, orc, cyclops, pyrefiend, and 2 goblins. In fact, it's somewhat rare to get attacked by two revenants at once.
