ok, a lot to work on, first: search the internet for some pixel shading tutorials. Also there are a few pixel tutorials from this forum in the FAQ. second, try to put some more work in practice your linework, because when u have linework u have done already pretty much half the sig. third, you better dont draw a person from exectely the front, because it is an unnatural positon for a person and u better can turn him/her a litle bit. and fourth good luch with sigs in the future and if u need help u can always PM me or post here for c/c :P and oh yeah sry for being a bit harsh but no1 wil steal that sig :-#

ok so here is the new topic of the TIF colaboration and since PJB quit with the old topic here is the new one with a new head: Rik : yes guys thats right its time for another TIF pixel colaboration. this year it has been decided that i shall run it with ter as my second in command. its a totem pole, thats right, a giant pixel totem pole. i shall make a base product, simply a wooded post which you can edit as you like, just make sure that its connected top and bottom and the very top and very bottom pixels are in their original places, also if you can keep the bg transparent by using a program such as paint.net which can be found here by deleating he background and saving as png (like you should for ALL pixels) you can find the base item here. rules there is no limit to theme, please keep it to the size provided, if you can transparent it then please do, if no then let me know, also if you can have the top and bottom linked so theres no big spaces, real totems dont float! (unless in water (this isnt...)) please also use the colour scheme provided and dont do photomanips to touch it up, since that wruins the colour scheme. anyone not conforming with these rules or handing in very bad work may not be emited entry. you may make it taller or shorter than it currently is, however please dont change the width of the template itself, however you may 'carve away' atit to make it very thin, but make sure that the top and bottom are the same as in the templeate and that it blends well with it. also make sure the light source is from the right (as shown in the template) else it will look very weird and your work may not be included. FAQ: i find the piece too big or too small, can i resize it? you may make it shorter or taller if you wish but do not change the width or layout of it at the top or bottom, and always keep the boarders where they are. also if you find it too wide you may curve the pole inwards to make a norrower piece, while the top and bottom stay the same. i dont like the colour scheme: its how it is and isnt to be changed, sorry. i cant make the background transparent, what should i do? post it in this thread, and ask someone to post it with a transparent background. or even better download a program such as paint.net (see sig) and you can make transparencies with png in there by deleating the bg. im not sure what file type to save it as save as .png (or gif, but only if animated) if your program doesnt have heve it for whatever reason then save as bmp and upload to here as a thumbnail for someone else to change it. you can also visit this thread how do i post an image? visit this thread for more info i have more than one idea, may i do several 'slices'? yes you may do more than one piece for it, but again make sure its of decent quality. if you have anymore questions then post them in this thread and ill try and get an answer to you asap =) as for those special top and bottom pieces the base goes to eckered and i get the top, however this is at my discretion and i can give away to whoever i feel deserves it if i wish not to do it, but please dont ask and or beg. and of corse the product so far: Participants: Flame313 sue_kitsu jr_striker my_eggs bessafree eyehawk78 elmo_killer6 Rik

I think Jagex automatically converts all their images to Jpeg Looking nice maybe try to speed the ani a little. Sorry to say but AGAIN JPG! i think i know how tht comes, do you maybe save it on your pc as bmp? if so before u upload it save it as a png becuase imageshack and other uploading sites don't upload bmp and make it jpg. So... i think thats the problem with the jpg and such. Oh yeah u wanted to know what is the difference: with png u hold in about 95% of all pixels the same color and pretty low filesize, but when u save a pixel as jpg all colors gonna mess up, the lines and such disapear and u get realy strange "pixels" of it :wink: I hope that explains a bit about why to save as png. and as far as the pixel everything looks flat and is just color to color strokes everytime a bit lighter. (we call that pile shading but also other names dunno realy). Also the tree looks flat and a bit like how a 6 year old would draw it on paper :oops: . You could make it on a lot of ways but i dont think u would read everything i have to say about making tree's -.- (a bit boring and realy much). And the horizon needs to be more a straight line exept when u want to make a hill but i would to that to kuch in a first pixel signature. Personally i think u could the horizon a more straight line in this sig because it looks a bit better and u dont have to do a great job of shading the hills. Also a realy big problem is that i never heard of a small tree thats bigger then a castle :wall: :-# . Also the last thing in this post is that i recommand to try out some of the pixel tutorials here on the forums and on other sites. I dont realy know much pixel tutorial sites but this 1 realy is good for a beginner http://www.spriteart.com/ just search until u find a tutorial u think u could realy use. Also i hope that some others like pjb just to say a name maybe knows more good pixel tutorial sites. Thats it and i hope this helps a bit :wink: :P ~rik~

What purple?..... ill try a better font which do any of you reccomend? in the left uppercorner are 2 big pink/purple spots :wink: and i dont have anny good fonts myself. I need them but dont take the time to download them :XD: -.-
