  1. You can check out Divine Forces. #df on irc.seersirc.net http://rs-df.com/forums Is there a specific reason why you don't want to use Teamspeak? You don't have to talk, you can just listen. And yes, we're a warring clan.
  2. Very well deserved promotion. I hope to see you with a red name someday. Congratulations.

    Hyt Relationships

You forgot about our relationship Dragon? I'm utterly heartbroken.
  4. Jagex catered to skillers for far too long. Because of this, the PvP world of clanning went down the drain. No one wants to risk efficiency and wealth fighting other clans and because of that too many people are recycled throughout existing clans. The only way it will be repaired is if people outside of the clan world decide to come in. I don't blame them for not though. All this ddosing and crashing bullshit would turn me off too. In terms of this community, many have migrated to RSC.
  5. Hey green veggie [bleep]

  6. It's more along the lines of individuals rather than the majority.
  7. That happens!? It always depends on the severity of the offence which is why I never said use it as a guideline. Keep in mind that if you were previously banned for a similar offence, I doubt the moderating team would be inclined to give you that many chances. Kevin out.
  8. Believe it or not, the rules are enforced in good faith. In other words, it is never implied that you are doing it for the sole purpose of breaking the rules or causing a disruption. If posts are removed asking why, it's because of that specific reason. Nothing else. If the rules weren't enforced then what's the point of having that rule in the first place? Some rules can be overlooked occasionally, but in the case of rules such as this (posting on behalf of banned users), then there is no contest; your post will be removed. If you wish to know the reasonings for my departure, it is for me to reveal, not for anyone else. If you wish to know something, I was approached by an administrator over IRC not too long ago expressing you guys' concerns about me. I assure you, they care about their users and if a serious concern has been brought up, they will investigate as shown with this. In regard to Goon, if he is unsure he can just use the Account Problem form or contact one of the admins by other means (eg. IRC, in-game, MSN, Skype...). Posting on a topic about it in public view will just cause unneeded speculation. Can you see the same boards that the moderators can? Can you see the same interpretations various moderators have made? Can you see the discussions that the moderators have held to come to a conclusion? No. As you can see, there are various problems with posting moderator actions in public as it will just amount to a massive amount of bullshit, greater than what you claim tripsis to be spewing. By the way, I am not reading from a script, I am speaking from my past experiences in the moderating team. It is never a glamorous job because a moderator's actions are always on the basis of the rule book. They are responsible for enforcing the rules and that's that. If a rule needs to be created, it is discussed and implemented. If a rule is too harsh and therefore warrants a change, it is discussed and implemented. Often users try to argue with a particular moderator that the rule is bad. The fact that the rule is incorrect or not does not excuse you from practising the same behaviour that the rule prohibits. It is instead a user's responsibility to bring it up in a suitable discussion (eg. Forum Updates and Suggestions) or via PM to an administrator/moderator so it can be passed on for further discussion. You are all concerned that a particular user gets banned just because of a small offence. This is not true. I restate, a user will not and can not be banned from a single offence unless it is something that is completely unacceptable such as pornography or keylogging. A user will go through the following process: A reminder A warning A stern warning A final warning A suspension of some sort - depends on length of record and severity of offence This is not a general guideline and should not be used as such, which is why it can be often either expanded or collapsed. The point being, there is a huge amount of communication between the moderating team and the user about their specific behaviour and once they continue it, they finally receive a ban. Furthermore, all bans are discussed between the moderating team. It is NEVER one person's choice. Often it is a local moderator who notices an offence, and since they do not have the appropriate permissions to suspend/ban, they need to request another moderator (super/admin) to do it. This requires communication between multiple team members; not just one. In terms of 'muting', yes there is a muting feature. It can be instated by a regular moderator, however it is usually used in emergency situations where a super moderator/administrator is not available. Even though this thread is seen as a small independent group, it is still subject to the rules. In fact, a few posts of mine were removed from here in the past, including one or two of them during my time as a community leader and moderator. Now, to hopefully change the subject. In regards to my departure. If it is really necessary for me to discuss it, I will. PM me on these boards and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability.
  9. Oh boy, you guys are at it again. Driving me out of my slumber just for this. As an ex-member of the moderating team I can give you the following information. The TIF forum staff aren't out in some sort of conspiracy against their users. They respect their privacy. If they gave information why someone was banned, they'd be breaching that privacy. If exceptions were made to this rule, then they'd be breaking that rule. There are no legitimate grounds to give why a person on these forums are banned. If you want to find out, ask them yourself. They know why they were banned. It's explained in detail in the ban email sent. I would also like to address the following... a person isn't banned for one offence. A person is NEVER banned for one offence bar something serious such as keylogging or pornography. A person is typically banned after a multitude of warnings. The TIF forum staff are often very generous in terms of this favouring warnings and reminders instead of bans. Furthermore, every single PM and communication sent is available for every single member of the moderating staff to view. So, if they did something wrong, it can be easily picked up by other members of the moderating staff, so there is no real "rogue" moderating happening, ever. Of course there are staff members with different ideologies, and because of this they may choose to take action on something. However, I can assure you that mostly every major action done is done with due process including, but not limited to, discussion amongst the greater moderating team. If you disagree with a specific rule, feel free to make a topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions. That's honestly the best way to get a response. Even though this topic is relaxed in terms of that because you can' t really get off topic, it is still a more suitable action. Just listen to the moderating team and what they have to say. Every rule and action is done with due process and in good faith. Kevin out.
  10. It still shows the name of the poster if you ignore them. It's sort of useless really unless you resist the urge to show the post.

    Today...

Weather was a bit much for me walking this morning, so I had an unofficial halfday (only went for the afternoon after it cleared up a bit).

  13. An ocean doesn't stand between you and me.
  14. Nope, never had one, although those who do (who I know anyway) use it mostly for skilling, since slaying would be a lot better with a slayer helm.
