  1. I will tomorrow, its 1:00 am here and I work in the morning...
  2. Another good one is using a cleanslate
  3. Or unplug your router overnight, after "X" ammount of hours your ISP usually declares that IP as unused, and will then go about and give it out to someone else. When you reconnect to your router, your ISP will send you a new IP
  4. Post a HJT log (read the stickies) make sure you have run adaware, spybot, and your AV
  5. O9 - Extra button: Research - {92780B25-18CC-41C8-B9BE-3C9C571A8263} - C:\PROGRA~1\MI1933~1\OFFICE11\REFIEBAR.DLL O9 - Extra button: Real.com - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\Shdocvw.dll I believe those two are unessesary (the first one deals with MS Office I guess?), and I think there are a few others, but like I said you might want to double check with cameron 1st. Well it would free up a very small ammount of space, but wouldn't make any noticable speed changes accept maybe at start up. I just mentioned them because I myself like to have as little as possible running \ installed at once if I possibly can
  6. By you saying "it quits" Do you mean it just looses the signal temprorarilly, or do you mean that it just stops functioning all together permanently?
  7. Plenty of people are here at tech and computer, you just need patients. What kind of internet do you have (Cable, Dsl, Dialup?) Do you have a router and\or firewall? If your internet connects through a proxy, make sure that you are using that proxy for firefox as well (tools >> Options >> General >> Connection >> Connection Settings) For you to say that no one replies in T&C is strange... there are very very few posts that we don't get to, it just sometimes take a few hours since only a few people here actually take time to help others out. IF, in the case that you arn't getting replies in T&C, it is generally your gault for either not reading the stickies, not using common sence, not providing enough information to us (which falls under not reading stickies) or it is something that could have easilly been searched up. *looks at all the posts he makes in T&C everyday* yup... that about sums it up.
  8. Okay, seems clean accept for a few uneededs, however there are a few things in there that I am NOT 100% sure on, so your best bet is to wait for merc or someone come and check it for you
  9. Well as a court ruling said that microsoft is not allowed to distribute msjava anymore then sun seems to be the only option ^_^ http://www.java.com Pfft... Well, in that case that you have problems with sun java creating a lot of lag in RS: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=141727&highlight=
  10. well like merc said there are a few unknown exe's to me, and I'm not gonna bother to google them because I am a lazy lazy man.... besides that you have alot of add ons and tool bars that you probobly don't use \ need.
  11. Don't bump if your post is still on the 1st page. What kind of connection do you have? Do you have a router? Do you have a firewall? Are you sure you have no spyware? Are you connected via wireless? We can't help you unless we know the facts
  12. I think we can quite easily disegard all your opinions going by all you other posts. Please provide some evidence to backup your opinion in future. I run "noob" norton and its caught every single virus on my pc before its had a chance to run its payload. righht all virusus is a total lie i tested norton and kaspersky with a friend we made a trojan and norton didnt find it and kaspersky did and we also tested the speed of starting windows we did a clean install with norton and a clean install with kaspersky we did the test on a p4 3200 mhz and it seem to be that norton slows down by 10% and if you want evidence then test'it your self and you see (sry for my english i know i know its bad) To be honest can_t_escape, I don't believe a word coming out of your mouth? Why? Quite frankly because it seems to me that you have very little knowledge when it actually comes to computers... as of yet, the posts you have made here have been of no real help to anyone, excluding a few actual posts here and there....

For Firefox, go tools >> options >> web features >> enable java... If I were you I would use the RS Client that you can download off of runescape.com in the download section (go figure) It runs in IE but you run no risk from getting spyware or anything of the like. Also, maybe you are having toubles because you are using SUN Java, it is a known issue on some computers Sun Java just simply does not work... you might want to try and read this entire thread and see if it helps you: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=141727&highlight=
  14. This is a known issue in Firefox when using java at the same time. Therefore, if you are playing runescape while using firefox the typing will go out of wack. This, however, is not jagex's fault and is the fault of those who choose to helped code firefox. As far as I know, they are trying to fix it... untill then just use the client that you can download for free from the runescape.com site under the downloads section. It works great
  15. how is that in any way related to SS? :? I believe he was refering it towards that guy
  16. did you scan in safe mode? what version of IE do you have? (help >> about)
  17. Havn't heard that advice before on T&C... guess it's been a while since I've needed to kick a computer myself... *thinks back to the good ole' days* :D

Ouch, you just made one of the very few people that takes time to go over HJT logs angry... Guess now you get to wait for merc or grin
  19. Bleh... Guess I missed the word laptop. Yup yup, laptops are dence therefore they are more common to problems with overheating. However, you can greatly increase the ariflow if you just set the laptop on two books or something allowing air to go in and around the vents [̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï] <---- laptop -̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâïÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâï- <---- books or something
  20. Maybe it is the server you are downloading from that are just slow or congested?
  21. Shutup idiot, merc is by far one of the smartest people on this board. Go away, your not wanted here kiddo
  22. I would have to say overheating.. yup To make 100% sure it IS overheating, try taking off your computers side case and then playing. This will allow for better air flow. If it still shuts down, it isn't over heating (unless your heat sink is cracked) If it is indeed overheating just run to your local computer store and pick up a few case fans for $5 and throw them in your computer, very very simple
  23. As in use the computer as a router? Well you have to have intnernet sharing and stuff enabled forthat I believe, and that can be found in control panel > administrative toosl > services > Other than that I am not 100% sure as I have never had to do it myself but I know it can be done, as my friend has accomplished it at his house
