Thoughts on new hardware
this is off topic... but what are you doing with your old one?

What is better: Microsoft, Apple, Linux or Unix?
You mean Paladium and Next Generation Secure Base Computing or whatever they call it nowadays? Unfortunatly, I believe both Intel and AMD are involved in it, and that both Apple and Linus Torwalds has expressed interest in it. It doesn't matter. Someone will crack it :P Haha... I give +10 tech points to pyro for knowing exactly what I was talking about

What computer barebone do you think is better
can u elaborate as ive always loved the x-blade cases as well for their look and the lcd screen with fan controll etc what do u find wrong wit them? No, I mean I don't have an x-blade case and I wish I would have bought it instead of the ATX case just because of looks

Using a keyboard as a gamepad?
Yea, you could put both keyboards in as well as your mouse and his joystick. Then set the controls for player1 to be like wasd and Player2 8456, however... that is only if the game allows for seperate profiles for mutiple players It is possible yes, but it actually depends on the game itself so give it a whirl

What computer barebone do you think is better
I don't like the first one at all... I personally think it is a huge rip off. The second one is alot better IMO, but still overpriced none the less. On a side note, I have the same case in the first one. The ATX Case... minei black with red lights. The one they have pictured it butt ugly. I have always been a fan of the X-Blade cases when I first saw them... Now I regret getting the one I have

What is better: Microsoft, Apple, Linux or Unix?
Windows, and like pyro said... XP. There are alot of features on it that I could do without but it is easy enough to disable them... Also, most games are made for either windows and linux or windows and mac. Some times just windows but very rarley will it be for all 3. I being heavy on gaming like windows. I also like that there are a very wide varity of programs that are windows compatible ranging from microsoft office, media players, video and picture editing, music editors, you name it... Any user can sit down at a computer running windows and do something. Even if it is the most basic stuff. I really like how you can customize alot of the features on XP, but I hate how some things are forced on you as well. That is a whole nother story though. Windows is good for the average user. I like it best and I am not saying that from a biased point of view. On a side note, I dissaproove of most of what microsoft has to say. If you know their history and have seen reports of what they want to do in the future I don't see how you wouldn't agree. Monopoly? Nah... your thinking too small. Try dictatorship

Using a keyboard as a gamepad?
ermm... well, you are able to use two keyboards or mice at once on one computer if one is USB and the other ps2 or you have an adaptor... but I think what you are asking is can you plug them both in and then use one for a certain set of actions in a game, and another for a certain set of actions. I don't think that is possible Say I am playing counterstrike (hope your somewhat familiar with it) It would work like this: Keyboard1: Letter "A" is bound to *walk left* Keyboard2: Letter "A" is bound to *walk left* I don't think it is possible to work like this: Keyboard1: Letter "A" is bound to *walk left* Keyboard2: Letter "A" is bound to *walk right* I could be wrong.... but as far as my knowledge goes you can't. Maybe there is some sort of program out there to... I dunno, any one else have any thoughts?

well all you said is you have a problem... whats the problem? That is like me saying my car has a problem. Well? Is it out of oil? Out of coolant? Out of Gas? On Fire? Also, you might be better off in a forum specified for BF, like..say... the offcial BF forums?

Blocking Websites
Nope sorry, we arn't supposed to help people get around blocks set in order to stop them from doing something.... so if your dad blocked it he obviously did it for a reason. Your best bet would be to ask else where or try and reason with your old man. Do some chores around the house, get good grades, suck up, whatever

Multi Email program?
Searching for "Trillian" would probably be a better idea, since that's its name.[/quote Eh... I never was one for names, or spelling for that matter. But thanks for correcting me

Computer problem!
Omfg.... you need to UPDATE unless you enjoy exploits that destroy your computer. ALWAYS keep windows, your browser(s), and your spyware\anti virus definitions UP TO DATE, that its like 90% of all security!!!

Computer won't work [Now solved]
Okay, well if you have your manule for your mobo, or know where to find a copy (try your mobo's site) it will tell you exactly what the beeps mean. For instance I know that on many mobo's 1 long beep followed by a pause and 1 more long beep means that there is something wrong with the RAM. It could also be that the mobo will not support any more ram, in that case you would have to mix and match to get the best of what you got. IE your 512 and 128 or 512 and 256 or something. Try taking out the 512 and seeing if it works, if not... I dunno? Put it back in, try to start, and then take it back out if it still doesn't work... I installed some RAM at work the other day and when I booted up it yelled at be for not having a driver for it... why would I have a driver, especially since I had JUST put it in? So... windows didn't start and I'm like "what the hell?" so I took it out, started up fine, put it back in, and it started up without a problem  Don't ask me, but I hope you have a stroke of good luck :D

can u run a prgm off a sandisc?
1) Yes 2) Get a ethernet cable with cross over and it is possible, or rather then using a "Hub" use a switch or router or about 10000 different gadgets that have that pretty much all do the exact some thing  3) Using infared works for a 1 on 1 network, but that is only if you have a direct line of sight and are closer then like 30 feet. Not sure if wireless cards could be used like that though, never bothered to try it

Looking into getting a new computer.
