Of course Ring of Vigour is worth it, I own one. So this noob comes up on RS and says, "I R PRAWN J00" or something, I slipped the Ring on and said, "I have a Ring of Vigour, NOOB" and they asked "a what?" and I waved it in front of their face impatiently saying "Ring of Vigour, it possesses awesome powers -" and it falls off and rolls away. Me and the noob made a dogpile trying to get it, but it slips between our grasp and falls in the gutter.... where my mom retrieved it. And sold it on eBay for $12.99 with which I ordered a pizza, some noodles and a toothpick that I used for non-dental purposes. Epic. Profit. Right. There. If defragging doesn't get rid of the problem, it's not your fault? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If defragging DOES get rid of the problem, there's an issue. Are you unable to do any sort of simple diagnostics? Maybe it's your internet cutting off? Window's defragger sucks. Try JkDefrag. Auslogic also sucks. It doesn't involve your hard drive lol? Whilst the involvement is minimal, rs is still stored on your computer. Just because you don't download something, it doesn't mean it's not on your hard drive.

In the herblore guide, the experience gained for a super strength mix is 59 exp. Obviously, this is out of sequence, for Zamorak brew gives only 58 exp, while being the "best". I've tried it in game, and it gives off 42 exp, not 59. 59 is only the level required to make the mix.

I noticed that the goblin potion, used in the Land of the Goblins to become a goblin was not in the herblore guide. The goblin potion requires a pharmakos berry, which is obtainable during and after the quest from the make over mage and a toadflax. It gives 85 experience when made and requires level 37 herblore to make. If I've left anything important out, even though I don't think I did, reffer to the quest guide.

The game card thing is for being able to purchase RS membership in stores. But unfortunately, there's not too many of them. Jagex doesn't have to update F2P, it's not a matter of greed or anything because they've already given us so much, not many games give us so much for free. The main reason they don't update anymore is because there isn't much in it for them. (Almost negative sometimes, since as someone said if F2P gets so much there would be less members) Frankly, I think the arguement of them being greedy and that since it was a free game at first it should be free now is stupid. Lets put it this way, you bring a pack of gum to school and you're feeling nice today, so you give out gum to your freinds. The next day all your freinds and some of their freinds come by, wanting gum, you suddenly realize you're becoming quite popular, so you give them all one. Before the next day you get some more gum for your little community of gum lovers. Now, this goes on and on and then one day you realise you've gave up $50 worth of gum. You think to yourself how much money you're wasting. You decide to charge them a little, to cover up the fees, (ads in RuneScape) the people don't really mind, so they keep buying. Soon you realize half your school is buying gum from you and quite frankly, you're tired of buying gum for free. You want a little profit to cover up for buying it and selling it and maybe a little fun time for yourself, but you want the buisness to grow. What do you do, you decide to get a more "better" gum by charging more for it, much more better than the old one, and you decide to put deals on it, like say... free piece of gum every 7 buys. Now, the people that can't afford to get the "new" gum for whatever reason it is are a bit upset because they've been customers for so long and they're not getting any offers. Now, after reading that is there ANYTHING wrong with that? You could have just stopped selling the old gum or made old gum a higher price. This is quite similar to F2P RuneScape and how people are reacting to this. Unfortunately, most people that are upset only think for themselves and people similar to them, but not the company. I see your point, but I just can't agree. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to bed, typing at 3 am gets a lot of rubbish down forums, anyways.

I really don't know if to support or not. But I'm leaning towards support because I've heard of cases when autoers switch worlds when they see a mod crown, so I guess it might help that, as well. But then again, not talking can prevent all those. It can also cause scam, so I think the only way that it CAN pass is to make Jagex make sure everyone knows mods can't do anything special that can be used to scam.. I guess those noobs is just one of those things you have to think about before becoming a mod.

Sorry, Ginger_Warrior, I can't think very clearly when I'm frustrated. But really, the thing that gets to me on this is that how little effect we have on RuneScape. I feel like serfs in the middle ages.. Here's the thing, though, no matter how many people want it changed, they may not care because this is economic. It's no longer "Oh, we can't do this because some people might suffer from it" it's that Jagex are not happy with their income. That doesn't mean we have no power so I we have to keep ranting. (I made an edit to this before, but I doubt anyone that read my previous post will read it again so I'll repeat, we can't make the rants in the Rants forum in the official forum, instead we have to go to customer support from the main page and go to "Complaints" where we can put in a small 400 characters) Also, when I said we can't be idle, I meant we shouldn't do nothing, but we can't go too far. Also, Ginger_Warrior, I think "extreme" was a bit of a bad word to use since it kinda wasn't, but in general we have to be sure we don't do anything stupid even if we're not trying to. For example, if we all SPAMed the forums we'd just get banned and nothing would come of it. Remember that when we're ranting we're not AGAINST them, we're with them but we need a change. And yes, I know I wrote some rubbish here and there, it's because I can't get my thoughts together. (Btw, it's probably best to tell are your buds that might care for this to help, I'm not saying tip.it isn't popular but some people don't read tip.it articles and the update is nearly impossible to notice if you aren't truly alert. We need a good amount of people to give their support for things like this.)

NOO SwiftSwitch is now illegal? This is an outrage..I love SwiftSwitch, I've used it almost every time I go on RS and now it's illegal? I hope very much that RS change it's mind about the world switch and high scores. I do agree that the sigs that we use up are quite too much, but I doubt we would go mad because of it going away, since we can easily put it in manually, sure it's a bit more work.. But without being able to look into highscores easily it would change PKing forever, not only that but I don't see how one glance at high scores or clicking links to worlds directly would affect them too much. SURE we miss out that ad at the side of the worlds, but that really isn't much. Especially for paying members, haven't we already done our bit? I'm so frustrated with this... Ginger_Warrior I agree with you in most cases, but I think you're taking it to the extreme. Multiple threads ranting will not help, especially if it gets locked, it means either they don't care or are already considering it. If they don't care and you keep doing it, you'll certainly be banned. Right now the only thing we CAN do is wait and see what happens, really.. We should atleast give them until next update or so. Quite frankly I think people like Strider is going to be heard most. Like remember the time he was on the front page before and editted their rules. If none of this works, I suggest multiple threads in rant forum, but NEVER insult them, use a proffesional manner and clearly state the point with titles that clearly give the point. This is where our school essays come in place, people. For us to be able to enjoy the things we love we can't idle around... I think I typed way too much but I have quite a bit on my head... EDIT: You're not suppose to make threads about this in the Rant forums on the official site, so if any complaints we have to go to the "Customer Support" and then click "Complaints", I think this reduces our chance of being banned @.@

I think it is. Survival of the smartest, I guess. I also think item scamming shouldn't exactly be against rules, either. Quite frankly, I don't think there would be such thing as "item scamming" if there weren't price guides existing, therefore RuneScape is supporting fan-sites, which they shouldn't do. But I DO agree that such a rule should exist or the market would be copletely stupid. I bet people would be selling full iron for like 10 mil everywhere and nobody would buy it. I do agree that it's unacceptable if someone were to sell complete junk items that are slightly rare...Say, leaves for 700k or so and tells them false info about it to buy it. But then again, this is a more of an issue of being mean or not... Basicly what I'm trying to say is that if you get scammed or lured, it's your fault, but that doesn't mean scammers should go crazy on scamming.

I've done the quest Tai Bwo Wannai Trio and my freinds tell me they are able to skin monkeys after the quest. I, on the other hand, find that I cannot and when I try to it says "You don't know how to skin a monkey...yet" are they lying to me or did I miss out on somthing here?

End of begging? That's everyone's wish, (except the beggers >.>) but it won't happen. Another thing I think is important, is that if someone DOES beg and get 10k, he/she shouldn't expect others of the same ranking to do so. It doesn't even have to be begging, like if your freind gets you a santa hat for your birthday, and another one of your freinds give you a d long, you shouldn't yell at them to get you somthing better because another one of your freinds gave you somthing better. Another thing is if you DID get hacked, it IS unfair, and frustrating, but you shouldn't expect a full refund or somthing, (which so many do) it is partially your fault if you get hacked. If you got a keylogger on you, it's your fault for downloading somthing carelessly or not downloading a firewall/virus scan. It's also your fault if you didn't put in a bank pink, didn't make recovery questions, or forgot your recovery questions. Even if isn't your fault, (I can't think of a reason, but) it's certainly not anyone else's fault. You can't go around asking people for stuff because you got hacked, quite frankly, it's YOUR problem. Anyone that's played for about a year or so, probably had an experience where they lost a lot of money from death, hacked, or scammed. If thier begging just because they're poor, then raise a skill to make money or somthing, at one point we've all been poor, and we though a way to make money. I really don't think their is a point to beg, and as the article saids, if you do get things for free, then it won't be worth as much. So what I think, don't give beggers your stuff, it's for their own good.

Good idea, but...I'm afraid I have to disagree. With just fish, cooking won't be much, and without the other stuff, cooking won't be much, either although that may be how it was in the past. If they WERE to have done that, a few changes should occur, a bit more exp in things like bread and wine, more capacity in hopper and be able to put all your grain in hopper at once, and grind at once. It's very time consuming to get to a good level grinding grain and plopping grapes into water, (just a thought, being able to actually farm grape would REALLY help, you know) unless they get a bunch of recipes decently easy, it probably won't happen. Plus, what would happen to the old cooking skill? I mean, I leveled to level 50 cooking or so without touching a single fish..(except for like a few shrimp at the very beginning) They can't just take it away, and they can't divide what part you gained from fishign and what part you got from other things. Either way, I doubt it'll happen, but it made a good point and it gave me somthing to think about. So good article :)

I think the top reason people lose rares is of getting banned; I mean think about it, not many go fighting things that can kill them with Santa hat, and I doubt ANYONE would go to the wilderness with Party hats. Remember the article, about a month ago, was it? About the guy that auto mined and his bank got cleared out? Somthing like that.
