Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
They are true patriots because they are practicing their freedom. What has the Grand America Mafia given me?

Vegetarianism
No. America is such a small country when compared to the entire world. And say such things in Argentina, where most farmers sell beef as the majority of their profits. Stop worrying about the envioment when people need to eat and make money to live.

When will Obamacare start forcing us to get medical insurance.

Vegetarianism
Pop, water, wine, juice, there's other options. In a resturant where there is no vegan menu, it would feel awkard for me not to eat anything; I would be embaraased of myself for listening to my pity whiney rebellious ideals. I believe that most restaurants now produce a vegan/vegetarian dish as a matter of principle. Not all, though. Would you sacrifice your "vegetarianism" for one meal at, say, your best friend's wedding where somehow everything came from an animal?

Columbus Day in the United States
And I was historically inaccurate how? No, not you, as I was typing my last-last post I was trying to think of a word to describe how the "history nerds" thought Columbus was trash compared to the Vikings.

US Drops to #49 in Life Expectancy
Yes, sueing is getting out of control in this country. The idea that we are a proud, honest, hard working nation has faded away. I'm taking a Human Resource management class right now and a good chunk of that is about how not to get sued. It's ridiculous. Sometimes I wish a Common Sense Clause was added to the lawbooks.

Columbus Day in the United States
Yes and no, directly this thread is about those days but indirectly you cannot help talk about the subject of Columbus and the natives, whos right and wrong, etc. Historical inaccuracy. That's the word(s) I was looking for. I hate that.

I, for one, like Magekillrs conservative bashing. I wouldn't call it bashing either, for the most part it's true. I am Giordano and I agree with this message.

Columbus Day in the United States
What Columbus did to deserve a day. And you're against Native American day why? As I said earlier, I really don't give a damn about who has what days and when. I just hate it when some guy reads Vikings discovered America first and think Columbus was useless and when people overglorify the natives. That is all.

Columbus Day in the United States
The "why I'm so against Native American Day?" question? Or which one.

Columbus Day in the United States
I see my post got deleted. No matter, the fact is not all natives are innocent as you say and not all colonists are guilty as you say.

Columbus Day in the United States
I really don't give a damn about Columbus Day being a day or not. I just don't want for the government go for some cheap pity spending by giving out free money to natives. Fine, you're right, but Columbus obtained the most use of discovering America for Europe. Vikings, used it for farmland and went away once it became too cold, maintained it to themselves, in the Chinese theory they couldn't even keep track of the discovery in their books, and is there anyone else? BTW Columbus discovered Hispaniola (Haiti + Dominican Republic). Get your historical info right before meaningless ranting. Exactly; it's not my fault my POSSIBLE ancestors killed natives. Christ maybe they were native-sympathizers, or you know, not in the army.

Columbus Day in the United States
Do you even have a reasonable argument for that? Yes. You weren't killed or abused by colonists. So since I wasn't personally involved, the government doesn't owe us anything. Even though they tried exterminating our culture, so most of today's Native American's don't even know it. Culture is more of a family and personal thing, and I don't think we're thinking of the same definition of culture at this point.

What is your motivation?
To make money and a damn good chunk of it. Which indirectly leads me to my second motivation: not to waste the sacrifices and work of my family.

Columbus Day in the United States
[/hide] It's Columbus Day and We're Still Screwing Over the Natives What I took from that: We're trillions of dollars in debt, and it's now that we decide to pay back the Native Americans. Let's wait until our country isn't in danger of drowning in bounced checks, okay? How about not paying anything at all.

Vegetarianism
You don't have to check your food. Not eating in a food social event is just embarassing; and if I invite you and don't eat ill kick your ass.
