I never once said that all men are jerks, or that their plan is to make it offensive. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the ones that came up with this day meant it purely as a joke, and nothing more. But that, again, doesn't mean it has no impact. And it doesn't have to do with what each individual does in that day, but what's the mentality of that day in general. Two problems with that though. You can't have a <group> day without having some "offensive" mentalities. You already understand that most men can control their mentality to limit it as a joke. So why you feel its nessessay to bring this point other than to make useless debate.

Every tribe would have their own value for items, preventing a unified economy over a very small area. But the phone, radio, and TV wern't the same. With the internet you had a constant flow of information, between one party and another, even on the phone it was two people at once. With the internet it may be me and you reading this, and also 5 other people, or 10, or 50. It's the magnitude of it. But the internet is quite useless without databases and data storage systems. We all know if the internet fails the world is screwed, but not because there's no Twiter or Facebook, but the connections between data storages. Every item you ever buy has a set number in various databases across many companies that keep order and efficency in the world economy. So I think, that the computer itself is the better invention since you could technically transfer data by hand. Internet is the computers best friend though.

My point was that ideally, instead of making the music cheaper altogether, the salaries in the music industry should be more equalized, so that if anyone at all out there is genuinely affected by piracy, the impact is lessened thanks to a higher salary, if not rendered negligible, while those who receive ridiculous sums are getting paid a little less.
