Techically you should call it the 2000s, but that would be confused with the century 2000. Like the decade 1900s contrast to the century 1900. I really don't know what you call the first decade of the century... interesting question though.

So many things wrong here. First of all, whenever you're keen on a girl and trying to attract her, you're gaming her whether you're a socially inept nice guy or a pua. We're all 'gaming,' the only difference between me and the next guy is that I have a clue, and I have a wider choice. The goal of gaming isn't to get laid, it's whatever you want it to be. Gaming also isn't restricted to clubs and pubs only. Girls use 'methods' to attract guys, do you think they wear high heals and miniskirts because they are comfortable? Our 'methods' are different because guys and girls are attracted to different things. Girls aren't objectified, it just sounds like that in pick up material because it's an efficient way to get a point across. It's a HB8, rather than a-really-attractive-female-who-is-equal-to-men-and-has-feelings-too-and-isn't-a-sex-object. Oneitis is basically when a guy is obsessed with a girl he has next to no chance with, no other girl will do, and he can't see that his efforts are futile. The more he likes her and the longer he is around her the more he screws it up for himself. It's not an actual relationship. It seemed like Dan was describing general flirting (?) within one word... Trying to get a girl isn't gaming, its 'attracting/flirting' (for a lack of a better word). Gaming is like the "[garden tool]-ish" way of doing it, it seems.

Yeah I'm fine with your definition. It's just the whole "if you like Nintendo/Sony/FPS's/JRPG's/etc. then you aren't a true gamer!" attitude that pisses me off. It's just elitist and stupid. I can't believe some people get into arguments over it :-| Well that's just gamers fighting other gamers. Stupidity usually ensures.

If they really wanted to scare the [cabbage] out of us, bomb High School rallies. Jesus Christ, my gym's packed in those things, like 1500 kids in 'em. Bomb a few in the same day, your calcuaties go over 10,000 and tripled the number of 9/11. Plus the fact that the victims are mostly kids. Double score. But obviously they only want to use planes.

Does AP really change the outcome of college acceptance? I've heard from some trusted sources that it doesn't really do much change with the input you (theoretically) put into it.

Not necessarily. A old man playing Tetris on his grandson's cell phone for the first time isn't a gamer. Well, the way I think of it, is that a person is a gamer if he actively plays and seeks games. Not only spending several hours playing games, but also spends lots of money on the latest games and equipment. I used to be a gamer, but not anymore. I still play games of course, but not actively nor actively seeking them. All the money it costs really drags down the fun; if you must have the game, then you're a gamer. e.g. a big chunk of teenagers. Just my two cents, of course. No hard feelings whatsoever.

I feel blessed not going to a typical TV-show high school...or not have that mentality, who knows. There is such thing as popularity, but not as universal as you guys are saying...instead of one big pyramid its a bunch of smaller ones. But overall, there isn't a dominant popular group pyramid. And even then, people have friends throughout the many pyramids... so it's not like a clan war or anything either.

I really don't know why gamers are still anti-society. 90% of teenagers are excessive gamers nowadays. <_<

In contrary to you (and my mother) I found out that if you pop 'em it's better than leaving it there all ugly. You just got to make sure you get all the puss out and the root with it. It has to be squeezed until blood comes out. Then clean it off some more to make sure.

Hm, I remember seeing that and feeling sad about it...but I never cried over it. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever cried during a movie. Felt tons of overly joyious moments but none sad, crying ones...
