  1. Okay cool, you don't have anything to worry about.
  2. I would agree to that statement if my $3 Sony pairs didn't last me seven months. :-P
  3. Meh, Alliance and Horde have both their strong and weak points, The Alliance has civilized beautiful cities and dwarfs, while the horde has the better looking racial mounts. That's a valid excuse? Rofl. Alliance all the way!
  4. Probably a $10 bill from the 1930s.
  5. The power of greed. :-P
  6. You know what's funny? Nuking the Middle East. A single nuke will never blew up the entire place, not even Iraq. The number of nukes able to destroy even 1 country would make all Americans die of the radioactive waste going through the winds. Yeah! Lets nuke the Middle East!
  7. The way I think of it, I need some "justifications" first in order to "logically persuade" myself to do it. [hide] The Mirror Reality The biggest fear shy people have is the judgment of others. That defines their shyness and social awkwardness. They assume others will think negatively of them and thus dont engage in social affairs as they should. But the reality of the matter is, that they wont think in a negative way. You, as the shy one, view another shy person not as a horrible trait that deserves a strict quarantine and mockery. I personally see it as a negative trait but wouldnt treat or think about them negatively. Now, because you dont see the other shy person as the scum they are, the people around you wont judge you that way neither. Contrary of popular belief among the socially awkward, you are not much different that the people around you (see, Equality Status). Its as if other people are a mirror that your thoughts and opinions reflect back at you. The second part of the Mirror Reality is the fact how long would you hold an opinion against someone? Excluding serve actions that deserves a long-term opinion, most of the time you dont hold that judging opinion of someone for long. Neither would they. Somebody else does something stupid, you forget within a couple of days. You do something stupid, they forget within a couple of days. And social interaction isnt stupid so how long do you think theyll remember? Equality Status This is the most important aspect in the social world. No matter how intelligent or skillful you think you are, you cannot enroll the idea of your supreme dominance over everybody. This particularly applies to social awkward people; because you think youre better than others doesnt mean you are. How can I be so sure? Lets look at this one fact: Whos happier? You or them? Who has the friends? Who has the girlfriend? Chances are, them. And usually people with the Im better than them concept give themselves self-pity that cannot be used for anything. In order to do/get something, you must do it. The Explanation Effect With a little bit of explaining, you can justify almost anything. You may want to do things questionable by your standards or the social standards, but with a simple explanation you can get away with it. Think of it this way: when all these piercings and tattoo craze started, it wasnt the social norm. But they explained it, got by, and now look at it. If you never explain, others will never understand your true intentions and just assumethe wrong things. The Free Open World Way In conclusion to the Social Solution, Ill recap: firstly, others are just like you. They think and react like you. If you truly are better than them, then show it and achieve great success. Secondly, explaining your actions will tell others of your true motives rather than leaving their imagination to make some garbage up. Thirdly, like firstly, they react the same as you. They judge the same as you. They love the same as you. As humans, we love the idea of a great open world: where youre free to roam and decide your own fate. The world of today is similar, but not exact. Security laws and such prevent you to do some of the things as before, but the tactic of ownership, still remains. We like to think our lifestyles are fixed in place, but that is not true. We still live in a world of survival of the fittest: of ownership of our lives and our desires. You have the knowledge of the complex social machine, through this paper and your observations. Once you break through the first nervous barrier (with the ideas in this paper justifying that break), theres nothing in this social world you cant do. Carpe Diem: live the day, as if it were the beginning of a vast, free open world adventure [/hide] Hope that helped.

What the [bleep]? It's not nice to swear in front of the mentally ill.
  9. It's a good sign     For some reason I have a urge it isn't... But don't ask me! I'm nobody. :ugeek:
  10. Haha. I see them as those bitter lonely old men/women holding a shotgun at their porch.

But is that really because of the times or just of your inexperience? It's more probable that you didn't hear swear words when you were younger because of these two reasons: 1) You didn't know the words. When I was in Elementary school, I knew there were "bad words" but didn't know what they were. It wasn't until middle school I figured them out. So maybe you were hearing them but didn't understand them. 2) You were a kid. People usually try not to swear in front of children.

All these font techniques are useless if your teacher actually reads it. Which is mine this year.

I hate those. My dad loves them though. "Hot "candy sucks, "sour" candy on the other hand is awesome. Amen.

Oh that reminds me of this brilliant quote I once read. It went something like this: "Adulthood was seen as both liberty and responsibility for growing adolescents; when you reached that age you had complete freedom. But as time goes on, more and more teenagers are drinking, having sex, doing what they want. Adulthood isn't linked to liberty and responsibility anymore, teenagers are getting liberty right now; it's only linked to much responsibility. No wonder children remain children." A rough idea of it, the quote was much longer and structured better.
  19. Couldn't they reduce their military funding and replace it with the Medicare funding instead of making new taxes? Either stupidity or stubbornness at it's finest. -- Oh and I read that you have to buy medical insurance but that jobs must now offer them. So which one is it?

Started on my "busy" week today. Catch up on schoolwork, work a lot on my movie, and get a date with this girl. Actually I shouldn't even be writing here. Curse my procrastination/(mild) short-attention span.
  21. No, just no. That'll make the criminals like celebrities. Poor "Chainsaw" Bill got slapped by Steve! People will forget that these people are criminals and instead see them as their favourate reality TV show person.

Phyiscal harm isn't the only thing you could keep your children in line, you could use fear. My parents didn't hit me much, but my mom became a demon from the underworld. If I kept going she probably would of hit me, but her attidude would just be enough scare us into good behavour. So that picture of the kid crouching down and saying "If your kid doesn't look like this, then you failed as a parent" is somewhat true.

No you're only mentally [bleep]ed up if you have the need to say your political standing in most of your posts.
  24. About time someone said this. 100% true.
