I spent $0 for trick-or-treaters. Now, if those kids mowed my lawn or trimmed my hedges, then I'll pay them in favour.
  3. If you go back in time and just observe you're NOT going to change history. I hate these instant "A time traveler will instatly [bleep] up time." Besides, I tend to believe an infiniate number of timelines, not just one. So if you do go back and time and change history, when you go forward in that timeline, THAT timeline is different, not the timeline you originally came from. So it's like the Back to the Future thing, but instead of changing the present timeline to fit your native one, you just hop back to your native timeline.
  4. It's not as bad as you think. You don't cover the entire fry with it. Just the tip.

lul wot. You do realise Italian has no connections with Latin America, right?
  6. The vagueness of both Genesis and the Big Bang leads me to believe they're basically the same thing. We're haven't left square one, yet.
  7. Math isn't fun.  I ranted on more than I probably should have. Oh well. And if anyone cares, I think I spend more time playing games on my calculator than actually doing math... I did that. Not playing games, but messing with graphs and writing down messages.
  8. Math isn't fun.
  9. Can you replace mine at 5x3 (above the lovely Megan Fox) with this? [hide][/hide] Thanks.
  10. @Warren: Oh of course. I was saying use the calculators in high school math when they'll only speed you up. But some teachers are so conservative they don't want to give in to technology. -.-
  11. Even through the serious prejudges in this situation, one cannot refrain from giggling from the quick, split-second, stereotypical reading of the title.

I always thought that was humorious. At most, a hispanic would say "Half blunt and blunt." Where as a white guy would usually say "Detail, detail, detail, detail, detail, detail, detail, and part detail." -- I guess I must of been blind then, Lent.
  13. I know huh? If you did general courses for 4 years you would think they'll skip that crap in college. <_< Though, they also say playing musical instruments/"art" stimulates the mind as well. I thought that was a stupid question too; they should have not a class on learning the technology, but learning through using the technology. Touché. I still think its a tad ridiculous though.
  14. I wouldn't say 5th grade math...I was taught graphing in 6th and 7th grade, and that's pretty important. I would stop at HS Algerbra, when the introduction of the graph stops and it becomes a big number game. Learn the method, practice it with a calculator.

Oh hell yeah! What part of the boot are you?
  16. Other than the survey, this thread could be used to discuss the educational system. The school system of the United States and specifically the Californian one, sucks. This general education you take in college is completely unnecessary and I would condone at least 6 months of it, not 3 years (Usually 2, but thanks to our great state budget...). And it always amused me that in math we absolutely never used a calculator, and I'm sure a good majority of TIF knows how complex a graphing calculator can become. Why stick to traditional methods when in our job they're going to hand us a bloody calculator? Or what if your job isn't even math-related?! Advance math is absolutely useless to me as an individual. I'm not going ever to use a quadratic formula for something...come to think of it I don't even know what the [bleep] a quadratic formula is used for... If you're planning to become an engineer, physician, or mathematician, that's great. But I sure as hell won't need anything higher than Geometry.

Not the Zulus!!! Lent, what would you say the ratio between Whites, blacks, and Hispanics be in Texas? When I went to Houston it was like 4.5:4.5:1. I thought Texas was supposed to have a lot of hispanics.
  18. You could find someone else with AIDs. That would be romantic. She/he's standing right in front of you wearing a white dress/tux.

Be jesus. This guy my friend knows only needs to wear a white robe and he IS Jesus.

Huzzah! My mother finished crafting a piece of my H'ween costume. Don't laugh, she really, really, really loves crafting stuff. So we each other a favour. <3: So now that that's done, my H'ween costume is 100% complete.

Actually, Hispanics are NOT an independent race. Spaniards were white and the natives were dark brown, combine the two together and you get brown. So they're actually half-half (if you were of native decent(Azetecs, Incas, etc.)). Because in the United States, we don't define half Native-Americans and half white people as hispanic. We define 'em as half Native-Americans and half white, and so should too the hispanics. So technically, I'm pure white from Spanish and Italian origins. But by urban definition, I'm hispanic from Argentine origins (ironically the most white-European nation in Latin America).

A P90 with laz0r scope. [hide][/hide] I get my bias of the P90 from Modern Warfare... <3: But how exactly accurate is a P90 irl?
  23. We could always add more "NPC" tribes in the unsettled areas.
  24. Also, would you guys mind having monsters? Special beasts that are found by exploring? They could be mythological or not; but either way I don't want 'em to be magical, just fierce.

I used to chew on a lot of plastic stuff...but not so much anymore. It's a bad habit I'm trying to break.
