Enjoy it. When the forum switches over, we won't have that skin. We also won't have the tip.it theme either. Switching over? What? No Tip.It skin? Explain, naugh!!!
  3. Oh come on people, you don't have the required levels for a quest and you're complaining about it? Last time I checked the world didn't revolve around you. There's very little you should be complaining about it, unless you want a Quest Cape, then there should be nothing to complain about. A Quest Cape is a MASTER of quests. Not a Majority Cape.

  5. That's me! I never had a huge long term goal (well I tried and made a blog but I didn't want to keep up with it), eventually I stopped doing that and did as I wish. Having fixed long-term goals really limit the gameplay in my opinion, since that's the primary thing you'll be doing. For me it was just laying back, having fun, and doing some things that interested me. Which is why I never amounted to over 3 million in cash. I always spent it trying to do new things or equipment and doing things the "ineffective" way.

  7. I don't talk. Simple.
  8. Chips with salsa. I hate it when you run out of salsa and your chips are so bland. I also hate it when you run out of chips and your salsa gets too hot. The latter happened today.
  9. The bandwagon last year was to love pirates. Now the bandwagon this year is to make fun of those people. Just like how everyone uses the word strawman and now everyone complains when people use it. TIF is funny. And last years bandwagon was to flame the people who said TIF has lots of bandwagons. -.- Maybe this year's the same...
  10. Take pictures of my stuff, levels, etc. Then play some Castle Wars and other mini-games and take pictures of that. A long, last walk through RuneScape and I'll log out forever. Even though I don't play RuneScape anymore, it would be really sad to see it go. How ironic this may sound, RuneScape led to so many great things in my life. And it was a hell of a fun game too. It's always glad to see it still operating in case I want to go back. :
  11. Which is why we can't read 1000+ year old books literally.

Also known as the suburbs. Most of us probably live in a suburb. Long stretches of urban development running for miles and miles. Suburbs began in the 1950s, the very beginning of the Baby Boom when veterans returned home and a overall mass push outward began. Loads of people moved away from the central cities to the surrounding areas for a variety of reasons. Cheaper prices, living in your OWN house rather than somebody's apartment, or just to get away from the African Americans. Either way, the urban landscaped pushed outward into the great wilderness. One of America's biggest urban sprawls, and probably on the top 10 of the world behind Mexico DF or Tokyo, Los Angeles has over 60 miles of urban development. The red line on this map alone is just roughly 60-70 miles long, and there are still a few suburbs further ahead. [hide=][/hide] 60 miles really never stood out as big to me, living here all my life. But when I went across America with my Dad, the average cities there were at most 30 miles wide. From the western suburbs to the east, the entire city metropolitan area was tiny compared to Los Angeles. And it made me realize how friggen big we are. But what's the point of this thread? To simply ask weither you LIKE the suburbs. It's an interesting concept in the topic of urban planning, one of the most discussed and studied in college courses so I've heard. I haven't made my mind up yet, so I'm playing devil's associate until I figure out which side I'm on. For starters, in a large area, mass transit is very hard, if not impossible, to implement. Everybody has to use cars, or face hours walking just to get to your job. The more cars used, the more pollutants are emitted, hurting the environment. Another recently discovered fact that I learned is that it destroys potential farmland. In the specific area that I live, in the past it was covered with farms of oranges, wine, or cattle. There still is a large empty piece of land behind my neighborhood that doesn't seem like ex-farmland but from the skies you can clearly see the seeding lines. (or whatever they're called...) Plus the fact of their size anybody without a driver's license is screwed unless they live real close to commercial districts. On the other hand, it gives common men the luxury of their own home,a very important aspect in the American Dream and of humanity. 1900s and back it was working hard to get your own piece of land and now its working hard to get your own home. Similar stuff right? And because suburban homes are spread apart, it feels like you're (somewhat) with nature but still in the city. So what side are you? Having your own land or a horrible pollutant and congestion problem?
  13. What. The. Hell. Then what is the point of a justice system, put in place to protect and aid the people, aka the victims? The victim's say is of the highest priorities in any case. They're the ones who suffered, they're the ones who went through this crime. Not you. Not the defendant. Not the defense attorney. The victim. And while we can't have criminals hanged for stealing $100 cuz the victim said so, we have to always defend the victim, not the criminal. This isn't rational at all. Why should willingly harming people make the someone no longer a human being? The bolded word is the key factor of this discussion. If you cannot understand this then you cannot understand justice and the mentalities of victims.
  14. I hope my school/area isn't the only place they say this, but, popular among the blacks/gangsta-folks they use the word "crunchy" or "dry" to explain something lame or embarrassing. Somebody tripped on his shoelace and fell. That would be crunchy. Somebody said a bad joke. That would be a dry joke.

First time I read in months, but I picked up The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Interesting so far.
  16. I'm supposed to go to bed at 10 but usually stick around a bit longer. Then I listen to my iPod while I try to get to sleep which about for an hour or so. In the end I usually fall asleep around midnight and wake up 7 o'clock in the morning. During the weekends its completely random, but I'm trying to set a schedule.
  17. Why? It basically says to your friend: "Haha, she likes meh not you."
  18. i didnt think that rat meat was that hard to cook.... Until you need a burnt one for a quest. Damnit. Use it on your stove twice. [hide=][/hide]

  20. Mine was 4th too. I remembered having to memorize a mulitplication chart it was so hard OMGWTFBBQ! After that we did long division. :ohnoes:
  21. Ok, I'll admit, that was one of your better ones. \ 5 People ? Yeah, I imagine that'd get stale quickly. But as for OT, no one new actually comes here. Hmm, that's not true. I remember when YOU started posting on OT frequently. Housepig, Wongtong, Racheya, and I think maybe even Zierro, just to name a few. And I_Hate_Libs started posting a lot now and she wasn't here last month. I haven't posted much or became part of the community as much as others, but I've been here quite a bit and notice new members keep coming, they just get so used to it feels like they came a long time ago. :

Tell her she shouldn't flatter herself. Really. Why else would girls wear clevage-showing shirts for? It's punishment NOT staring.
  23. Liberals always flamed conservative Bush and now conservatives are flaming liberal Obama. Nothing new.
  24. Again, the best quality of life was if people never did these things but that is not a realistic possibility. Like Zierro is saying, if we introduce harsher punishments (not necessarily capital punishment) it would lower crime. You, and everybody, must realize that actions have conquences, that every single thing we do is our responsibility. Driving drunk, you crash. Some say it's not their fault because they were drunk, but they still choose to drink away from home, which the only way to returning home is by car. People have to cross this line, dividing guility and innocent, and you can't "accidentally" cross this line. No way in hell you can. You, willingly, must cross it. Willingly you knew the damage it was going to cause. Willingly you went through without any regard to your fellow man. You willingly are making another human suffer. And by all logical means, the more damage you did the more punishment you would receive. You can't go around preaching "peace and loving" and promote the rehabilitation system if you haven't been in the victim's shoes. With all these judicial system debates, it seems the majority of the people forget about the victims, the sole reason why we have a system in the first place. So think these thoughts before continuing: your daughter got raped how would you feel? You were kidnapped, beaten, and robbed. Your best friend got murdered by a guy who was robbing a bank. These criminals didn't do it on accident, they willingly knew what there were going to do and no way in hell can these people be considered as a human being. It's all about a Fair Free for All. Take out the fair, and you're not playing anymore.
