Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I see "relying on a computer or video game console to be absolutely no different than relying on alcohol to have a good time. Someone complains they're hungover, so that allows you to pass judgement? That's a load of bs. If a person tells you that you're a loser for not drinking, that makes that individual person a jerk, not all people who drink excessively. With the current drinking culture, it's hard for these people not to have a party without alcohol. Have the party be about socially interacting with other people, not for the purpose of drinking. When people say "Lets go to David's party and get hammered" just makes me think they're not some of the best cultured (and sometimes intelligent if they're really dumb about it) people around. Does it make them inferior to me? No, but I judge them as such and keep a bit of distance from them. People do have a choice to choose who to interact with in their lives. The other two points only apply if you actually do it. If a guy gets hammered in a party and doesn't post how much this hangover hurts on Facebook, then I see him in a better light than the other guy who types "got a hangover, fml" or similar nonsense. On the topic of drinking being bad for your health, I hate it when people dislikes someone because they smoke or because they drink or because they're fat, citing health reasons.

That pretty much sums up most of my classmates. Losing one's inhibitions and making irrational (harmful) decisions isn't exactly wise, and the benefits just don't pay off. I've never understood the drinking culture; Why is there a social stigma attached to drinking in moderation? I don't know that there's a stigma attached to drinking in moderation. Perhaps it's the perception of being not included in that group that makes you think that they believe themselves to be "cool." Our choice to get lit up and make what you call "irrational decisions" is no better or worse than your decision to not drink or to only drink in moderation. I enjoy getting drunk and making acquaintances with people I don't know; I have the courage to talk to women that are way out of my league; I get to make ridiculous memories with my friends. It's a way to relieve stress and I see it as no different than any other activity, there's no need to pass judgement. It's justified to pass judgement when people complain about hangovers, judge others when they don't drink, and rely too much on alchol to have a good time. I'm not conveying this to reflect upon you, but just to let you know sometimes judgement is legitimate.

Yes, humans generally cannot tolerate nuclear radioactivity. ... It is sort of like Fallout, but there is free-flowing combat like Fable where you don't have to rely on luck/VATS/other complex numberical factors.

Actually, I'd like this system better. I hardly have to use the F Keys anyway. On the same subject of volume control, I hate how on my laptop my special volume control buttons minimizes all full-screen programs. Then it takes a while for them to re-appear on screen.

You'd probably have to put effort into getting an argument out of a non fundamentalist. And the non-fundamentalists certainly do exist. The Church I belong to is also known to some people by the name 'the thinkers religion', because it is very much about allowing and encouraging people to find their own faith, not telling you how to live your life or what to believe. My Church does not consider the bible to be literal, but rather a very important story book. And for me, that's really where you draw the line of fundamentalism. To me, a fundamentalist is someone who believes that their story book is the literal true word of their deity(s). On that note, how long has it been since I said I hate it when people try to push their personal religious beliefs on other people (this applies to atheists too) How does an atheist push religious beliefs if they hold none? Skeptic, this is what I mean. Did you really have to continue on the discussion?

How that trucking thing going for ya? Tis good. Saw snow and walked thru 12 degree weather - coming from a Southern California'er, that is really cold. But it felt good. Now I'm in eastern Tennessee, into the civilized east where the internet does not drop often and there are more things to see.

Cold Showers
Aww, I wanted to try this in a truck stop shower when it was 35 degrees out, but the water was automated to be warm.

I don't think you can divorce your wife/husband except thru PC console commands or mods. A TESVI: Hammerfell would be so badass. I have a feeling it's going to be set there or in Elswyer, both cool places regardless.

There is nothing better than writing on a sharpened, wooden pencil. But it gets annoying having to sharpen it constantly to keep the nice point. Mechanical pencils are the next best thing.

Curious about it too. Bet it's down in the water; typical scare off.

Yes, but it's a lot more fleshed out and better. One of the flaws with Skyrim was it's faction quests were too short and simple. The faction quests in Oblivion were a lot more fleshed out and felt like actual accomplishments.

Bachmann pulls out of race
If you don't vote, you're giving the Founding Father's a big middle finger. Then maybe we shouldn't be voting for candidates that give us citizens a big middle finger once in office. Then run yourself! George Washington was but a simple farmer, and he became first president of the United States of America. America: you can be anythiiiiiing!

In terms of resistances go, I think there are fewer enemies who can resist shock. However, a smart mage will use all three for the situation: fire adds more damage over time (when the enemy is on fire), frost drains stam (you won't get hit as hard), and shock drains mana (awesome against mages). If you want to become a battle mage and wear heavy armor, you need to train up enchanting, then enchant the awesome stats of robes over to your armor. Early-game you'll have to put up with robes (in my opinion, the 50% mana recharge is fantastic) but once your enchanting is in the high 20s, low 30s you can really feel the benefits of enchanting.* *This is my personal taste. You can go ahead and wear 15%/20%/25% mana recharge rate if you really want the armor. I'm more of a mana than armor guy myself.

As a mage, you should always get the "novice/apprentice/adept spells cost 50% less" because you'll be using all levels of destruction magic. Also get the "dual cast" one and the increased fire/frost/shock perk to whichever spell you use most. The medium ranged attack spells (bolts) are what I use most often, following by the goushing ones (constantly - dual casting). Also invest in good wards, they'll save your life in a mage v. mage fight.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
The way to correctly use the huntsman is in your backpack, unequipped.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
It gets WAAAAY easier once you get used to various techniques like corner huntsman, rocket jumping, corner-jumping Heavy. my first time playing I was using the scout and I just died like a fish non stop. Took me a few hours to get used to the gameplay. Nooo don't encourage him to use a [bleep]sman. :shame:

Started mine now. I don't know if TIF knows, but my father is a long haul trucker. Decided to go with him since I wasn't getting anything good from job offers these last few months. Currently in a town near the Salton Sea, next stop Yuma, then New York state. I hope I get to see snow. And yeah, I got mobile internet on my laptop. I can't go away from my TIF.
