Anything that can get you a job as a teacher. The pay may not be great, the kids might suck, but you're pretty much guaranteed a decent living and summers off. True. I can say being a teacher is great....unless you are a music or art teacher. Seeing as schools are slowly getting rid of music and the arts, it's going to be balls hard for me to get a job. That is why I am getting my doctorate in muisc conducting. This should allow me to become a college level band director, or director of bands. Ah, you two are the first talking good about teaching. But then again, you two may not know about California's school crisis. I do aim to becoming a history professor and I've encountered nothing but discouragement. The way I think of it, everybody and their mother goes to college. Surely the demand for teachers can't decrease - besides public schooling not knowing how to handle a budget, private schools are open and available.

I really question the point of college now. So many degrees are "worthless" or "hard to get a job in", what's the point spending grands on it? Seriously? I also like to hear some GOOD degrees besides engineering and a doctor.

Hipsters ARE supposed to be anti-main stream, but there's SO MANY it has become a own group. The term hipster refer to the people within the culture with rotten attitudes about what is and isn't mainstream than an individual who quietly has anti-main stream tastes.

I'd think there's also a difference in the attitudes of the drinkers as well; People that drink to have fun, people that drink to enhance fun, and people that drink for the sake of bring drunk. And some people just assume, when I say drunk, I mean even the milk drinkers.

My last two posts were trying to side with you, trying to make you see two groups of different people, giving yourself as the one I have no problem with...but you're getting way to defensive three posts in a row. And by habits/interests, I meant on a social level. I don't give a damn what your GPA is, what you do for a living, or you attend college or not. Sheesh.

A large social gathering based on getting hammered? Doesn't seem a very fun thing to do and not to mention, says something about the attendees' interests and habits. A large social gathering based on social interaction? Seems like a fun place to go to. As I said before, drinking to get wasted is to me a stupid thing to do. Drinking on the side within a party does not make you a drunken fool. Going to a party because they have beer, does.
