  1. Then we got the stupid "taxes are going to waste". W Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt, Hoover, Coolidge, Harding, and Wilson ALL wasted the tax money on unessesary military growth, ineffiecent welfare, or private gain. Not only that, but Lincoln, Washington, King George, Louis XVII, Augustus, and King Solomon did the same [bleep]ing thing. Stop complaining over it, it's not going away. And if you still hate it, then please, overthrow the government. I'd like to see that and I'm not saying that sarcastically. But if you can't do that, find another way or stop crying about it.
  2. They oppose taxing the rich, simply because they're rich themselves. What Americans have to realize, jobs aren't going to the immigrants they're being sent overseas by the corporations. Then we get told tax-breaking them will get our jobs back. They'd just get more money to send more jobs overseas. Then we got the (universally hated) stupid "Obama's stealing our money by taxes". W Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt, Hoover, Coolidge, Harding, and Wilson ALL robbed your money via taxes.
  3. I am voting for Obama simply because the Republican Party is way too reactionary to be of any practicality. Their anti-immigration, pro-religion, and anti-tax are the three main conflicts I have with them.
  4. Just to let you know, it's not as open-ended as AoE2 (but I haven't played the expansions, but I doubt they've added much) meaning less civs, less maps, less everything. It's still a decent game but doesn't have the same repeatability as it's processor.

Tim, don't you have a job? If so, [bleep] you. Everytime someone mentions an income I get depressed.

If your mum didn't mind you doing that, would you still get it done? Because that's a terrible reason imo. I think so too. Take a stand at the more important matters, not hair color.
  7. Going to church. It's a stretch to believe God and all he did in the Bible, and Jesus, but spending your free day going to Church? Especially those conservative Catholics ones: "You're a sinner so give me your money."

I can't imagine how bad the church down the street must of been today. Usually it's a pain to drive by it on a Wednesday.
  9. Terrific quote right there.

  11. He's an attention hog. I'll have to second/third/fourth anime. They always seem to add spiritual/magical made up stuff that ruins the story and setting for me.
  12. Dark Legacy Comics (DLC) It's a comic set to World of Warcraft, so some might not understand all of it, but I've never laughed at a webcomic like I have to this one. It's so good that someone made a machinima out of one of his comics and got 1st place in the Blizzcon Movie contest. And not to say that particular comic was the best of his work, it simply was his work. I really adore the author for his humor, wit, and creativity.
  13. What I don't get, is if the welfare lifestyle is sooo easy, why "hard-working" people don't join up?

I think you might be taking this game a little bit too seriously. You'd be glad to know those are my two complaints about the game. 1) Useless structures 2) Modifing my good structure into a useless one Both, player-based problems mind you. The game itself is great, but I feel I should write a guide or something to make people more aware how to build good structures that harness surprise, mobility, and firepower. I mean, not every wall NEEDS windows or a roof: windows just give out your position to the enemy. Instead, having a flat 2-high wall gives the enemy no indication where you are besides somewhere behind the wall. Then you can move around and keep the enemy second-guessing where you'd pop out from. NOT to say bunkers aren't useful, in maps like Pinpoint they are godly. But not EVERY defensive wall needs them, you know? I know I look like I'm ranting a lot, but some players just do some of the illogical, dumbest things sometimes and it ruins the game experience for me.

Ugh, I hate it when a teammate "helps out" by "improving" my wall. "Lets add silts and a roof! That totally won't be a giant "HERE BE YE ENEMY SNIPER" sign!"
  18. At least new toilet paper is IN the room. After living in this new house for six months, I still have no clue where the extra toilet paper is held.

Eh? Apart from the fact that there is some kind of tournament, I see practically no connection to the Goblet of Fire...also, if you say terrible ending...have you read all 3 books? Kids competing in a bloody tournament, very similar to it. No, just the first and it had a shitty ending. I've heard the third has a really bad ending too, not sure if I'll read it. Gotta disagree here. It shares similar traits but the underlying story is vastly different. Goblet of Fire is just a usual tournament, though tuned to Voldemort's purposes and it's essentially irrelevant, just a means to get Harry to Voldemort, which is the main story really. At the same time hunger games is kids directly fighting against each other, because they're forced to do so by an oppressive regime. I have read both books and beyond superficial stuff I don't really see many parallels here. One thing I never understood about the Hunger Games, is why does the government force their kids to fight each other...? Sounds so unrealistic.

The point of the game is to fight in a battle and structures to help in that regard. Building a three-tiered bunker with only 1 window being filled is a complete waste of time and manpower. Not to mention, it is not helping at all with the battle at hand. The map this screenshot was taken is in Pinpoint. If you're not familiar with the map, here is a quick stetch: The main level is the ground floor, so there's no worry of sappers. We're surrounded by red water. We can defend both flanks (left and right) AND maintain a frontal line of fire when we focus our structures and men towards the enemy base. There is NO possible way of flanking around in this map, so what's the point of covering the intel? The only time I can justify defenses around the intel, is when they push us back. But with players who play the game barely holding the front, only if we failed would those defenses be needed - which will NOT happen IF the Minecrafters helped out in the front line instead of making box buildings with no strategic value. Don't get me started on the people who draw words and stuff so they can be visible on the map. Unless it's an intel disguse (which was an awesome idea), penises or spelling BLUE SUCKS adds no benefit to the team. The point of this game is to help the team achieve the goal. I'm sorry for being so anal about it, but what some people are doing just isn't helpful at all.

That's not the point of the game and they're ruining my fun. So who's more right here? People who play Ace of Spades to play Ace of Spades or people who play Ace of Spades to play Minecraft's Creative Mode?
  22. Giordano replied to Hugger_88's topic in Off-Topic
I mean shit like this: The front lines are halfway across the map and people spend manpower on building these big bunkers near our camp, which will never be assaulted because we got our flanks covered. So we need a little bit more manpower to make a push onto enemy territory, but nope. They're all too busy Minecrafting or making penises or something.
  23. Not even fined over a million dollars? Well that's not much of a punishment...
  24. Giordano replied to Hugger_88's topic in Off-Topic
My most irrdating pet peeve on this game, is that players waste time and manpower on building STUPID structures at base...a box surrounding the tent for instance: WHY? Instead of fighting on the front lines or guarding our flanks, these Minecraft [wagon]es build stupid shit back at base. I'll rather have five crappily built bunkers in the front line than even 1 [wagon] building a three-floor bunker in base.
