I sort of do that, only I tut and go 'wtf you paid that much?! You could have got something similar at Primark for £x'. Also I could have killed my dad for getting shoes for over £100. I honestly could have! Yeah, cheap shoes might not last as long but still! I just have an aversion to large sums of money. But not for expensive things, for ordinary things. Shoes around here from any average-joe store does cost $40. Buying anything less means you bought used from the thrift store, know a guy, or stole it. Plus people who note this out usually are gloaters: "oh ya i has four businesses n' [cabbage], makin dope money balh blah blah" Adding the "lol i got tat fr less" is just the frosting on the cake.

Wouldn't that be counter-productive? Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and all that? If you can't find satisfaction with work how can you do it when you're worried about a place to live? Worried about it? I'll talk to my mate when I go to see his gig at a local club. It'd just be until I find a job, and I'd obviously help around the house since I currently don't have much money I could give him in the way of rent, maybe I should try and save my money until then. Well I wasn't posting directly at you, just the general ill-logic of doing that. But good luck to you if that happens.

Yeah, there are definitely legitimate uses, like defending yourself/your family. Knowing the way you post, you're probably going to tell me that a handgun, a can of pepper spray or a phone call to 911 would suffice, but from personal experience, that's not always the case. I grew up in a rough part of St. Petersburg and there was a string of really violent home invasions in which victims were raped, maimed, shot at, and even decapitated by a gang of armed criminals. So yeah, there are some non-sketchy scenarios in which a Kalashnikov would come in handy. Because the gang of armed criminals won't have Kalashnikov's as well, right? Again, why will the gun owner die and the peperspray guy won't? Just face it that both will die and we all each pick our weapon of defense.

Besides, hiding behind that experiment doesn't justify anything they did.
