Pictures Will Not Load! Image, Image, Image...
Use Chrome or IE (lol) to see if the problem is the same on those browsers. Don't important your settings from firefox onto these browsers either. Easy check is find a page where images don't load, copy the url and put it into the other browser, and see if the image loads. Another thing is to check what your security tab is at in FireFox and what Firefox is allowing to be shown. You should check in Tools > Options > Tabs: Content; Security & Privacy. If something is turned off, or is uncheckmarked it probably wouldn't hurt to say what ones aren't checked, or the ones that are checked that disable something. After that check what your firewall is doing and allowing. -- If you've done those and the problem is only special to FF just re-download it, with or without taking your settings with you.

Fix my Computer please?
Or a piece of the paperweight is lodged in the fan somewhere, or some other object. Depending on how hard it got hit with the paperweight, a small little piece could be scraping the blades of the fan. Fan could also be displaced from the paperweight as well. You should open it up and just check for general damages and things that would cause it to make noise. Turning on the comp on without the case side on and seeing if the fan spin as it makes noise is a good idea, but don't stick your hand in there at all.

Games you would like to play
That game would be surrounded by A LOT of controversy and protesting. :| So is a man wanting to put a golden ring on another man. Your point? It should be done so we can continue to have a laugh at life, and watch the world crumble by arguing about nothing.

Games you would like to play
Uhm...yea? Except I want it to be decent and nost jut randomly generated. It has to have a purpose, and redfines itself every time, something that hasn't been released at all. Though Left 4 Dead & certain other titles are certainly on the right track for such games to exist in 2017 at least. I think this is why I found my way to Combat Arms, then went to Left 4 Dead, Fallout series, CounterStrike...etc. You're not button smashing and guns are generally on the same level, without the need to be X level or X level increases Y weapons usefulness so you can totally own that noob. PvP games can't have it where a new player will get dominated by a long-time player because of level. In FPS you can log in, learn the maps, and then just totally dominate after a few hours. And then you still continue to work on the same skills but in different perspectives in the genre, which is why they are so popular in the first place. I don't mind PvE but MMO's don't give you a challenge. Honestly pvp is so good because there's risk, and you're challenged. I know I enjoy fighting someone who can actually beat me than fighting someone who has no idea what they're doing at all. Sure it's fun the first couple of times, but seriously it gets boring, unless it's with a guild or something, lol. But thats why so many PvP'ers hate PvE, there's no challenge. You can predict were things will be, and they're easily manipulated. No reward, no risk. When I fight an Ogre I want the possibility of dying in there, and not the possibility of killing 100+ without getting hurt much at all. I have no idea what made companies become so carebearish or cater towards gamers so that they're mothering the players. Seriously was it all the younger players whining about losing their stuff/holding grudges till they become developers? This is why DarkFall is going to be an excellent game. It's RTC w/ no levels, thus it basically is implying the same principles as a FPS in terms of combat. But it's still in CBT so it could be a fail, but I doubt it. A WWII game to be released in the next or coming years will need the option to side with any of the dozens of countries affected/fought in WWII. They have to stop focusing solely on the combat only. Medical, economic, and politics can be put into such a game that it's a cross between an MMO and a FPs, but maintaining it's FPS roots with a FPS interface, controls, and the same perspectives/gameplay as a FPS for whatever role in the game you want to play. Whether it's several different campaigns, or it's all online to further the outcome of the war at some certain point, who knows. There's so much potential in war games that are derived from hgue wars like WWI & II. You don't need a story, it's all there. Add some dramatics, make it feel personal, and add in some non-repetitive, non-linear content that is replayable forever. It can't be that hard, especially now since most games we see coming out now have been in production for 2-3 years, which is when the rage, or anger of gamers not getting 'good' games and the 'sandbox' game complaints started to form. So really the future can't be that bad. We've had good games, but developers are only taking babysteps forward, while some like Blizzard are corrupting the minds of everyone!!! @Lent, you know I'd play any game that they put any ideas or consult you for.

Left 4 Dead
Tank is only going to die after it's killed two of the bots. Not so good if a horde comes, random accidents. 5-10 minute respawn times are a bit too close to random horde attacks, but the risk for the reward is very attractive. They don't get stunned though. Sure they stop, prioritize themselves, and then run back to your location. I guess when there's 4-6 left and how quickly it is to finish them off that could be counted as a stun, but when it's an actual random horde rush with 3-5 waves pipe bomb is only gonna get 1-4 waves at the most. Molotovs will get 3 for sure. Not to mention crescendo events. Molotovs last for 3 waves of a horde. Perhaps you're talking about gasoline tanks/propane tanks? But regardless, we obviously have conflicting play styles. =P

Games you would like to play
I wouldn't count on it though. So many people hated on CoD:5 for being a WW2 game that the genre probably won't see another 'massive' title going for large popularity for a solid 5-10 years. I hihgly doubt FPS games revolving around WW2 will be made in such a timeframe. I'm just guessing though. What game would I like to play? A game where PvP isn't determined or influenced by time, but purely the skill a player has. This means if you've spent 600 hours training a level it shouldn't affect the outcome of a pvp encounter. Only 'general' skill can be improved by time as the only exception. PvP is, to me, the only thing worth doing in a game. Killing other people through a game is just so rewarding and a rush! But that's getting too hopeful. I'd like to see a FPS where it's replayable to the point more of just killing different people and learning map positions. Those are fun, but they don't get renewed, thus the 'excitement' goes away, but the fun remains. Though a FPS is with other people so it would have to be maps, guns, achievements, side-stuff, vehicles...etc that would have to have thousands of combinations, that are unique and aren't just copying each other and such, to succeed in such. But even then that's not replayable gameplay, that's basically hardcoding when you want to loop and make things 'changeable'.

Left 4 Dead
Music starts playing 5-10 seconds before a horde comes. An experienced player on the particular game mode (which is important, because depending on the game mode they could come from the top, bottom, left, right, or randomly spawn in front of you just to piss you off, smoker anyone?) will know where the horde is rushing from depending on their current location. With such knowledge it is easy to encamp in an area that will drag the zombies to the fire. Just because they come from the cliffs, or from the right, doesn't mean you can't make them run around or 'climb over' something to get to you, running through the flames, or much rather called a choke point. Without tanks and witches? Dude, you're guaranteed to run into either the witch or the tank (or both!) and will be engaged into combat with it. Mind you I think it's easier to kill Tanks or Witchs on ENA(game modes) than it is with hordes by guns only and save the grenades for the hordes, but on Expert you need to use the grenades for those two spawns of satan. Tanks will most likely kill at least 3-4 times in one single campaign altogether. Witches will be startled at least once in a campaign, which means someone is so dying on Expert, unless you're glitching, or making her fall off a building/cliff. Thsi is if you use molotovs, pipe bombs, propane tanks, or gasoline jugs. For hordes, yea right. Most of us die from hordes because we let boomers, smokers, or hunters get to us because we generally think the -10s and -20s from the Zombies is worse for the overall team than letting the special infected take us, which it's not (we think or at least delay a bit before we kill or look for the infected making sounds, even in a horde attack, we all do it, whether to recognize if it's worth checking, or if they've been shot, or to identify where the sound is coming from and what sound it is). Take out the special infected aiding in horde attacks deaths and you'll have 2-3 deaths from Hordes. This is also assuming you're using the several grenades, propane tanks and the gasoline jugs (if you tried to go without using any nades, or pick-up items, you'd fail epicly). And special infected are only present during Horde attacks when you've failed to kill them beforehand. How many of us can hear the smoker, hutner or boomer, but continue to progress regardless? Or kill all but one of them, and get penalized for it later? Even if you kill them all, it still proves my point that you'll die more often by the tanks. This isn't even mentioning Molotovs 'hit' everything. Tanks usually start charging through narrow passageways, or we run back to a point where it's narrow anyways. Resulting in an easy towering inferno. Pipe Bombs you need to aim and time, and even then they don't damage entirely because the target is moving/in animation that wasn't designed to hit the pipe bomb. The most lethal one to use against the tank, or horde, or witch is probaly the propane tank if placed properly. A lot of this comes down to skill versus knowledge, as well as map positioning for both is just as important. I wouldn't be surprised if pipe bombs were better in a chapter where it's more open, and the horde comes from 5 different ways, but even then that means you're totally screwed anyways. If they're coming from 5 different ways than most likely they'll come running, you throw the pipe bomb, and 10-15 get stuck on your characters and attack you from you either meleeing or not killing them fast enough. Not to mention if another wave comes. Oh yea that's anothing thing, pipe bombs don't last as long as the horde attack does, but the fire from gasoline, prpane, or molotovs last at least 3x as long as a pipe bomb doesto accumalate and explode the zombies. Meaning you're most likely to kill more zombies with fire. Or wait until your team is down to 10-20hp, and throw the pipebomb to get as many as possible, and peck off the ones that ran to it, but even then if you threw it that far away, most of the them wouldn't have reached it, but if you threw it too close they'd be heading for a spot relatively near you anyways. Sure there's a sweetspot somewhere but it doesn't equal past what the molotov offers. Molotovs are far more versatile in l4d than a bomb. SURE let's say you have 2 pipe bombs, ok, maybe then you'd be able to explode all the waves of the hordes from all directions. BUT we're saying basically if you had achoice between molotovs or pipe bombs, which would you pick up to use in any upcoming situation? Ok, so usually you either get 3 pipebomb spawns, 3 molotovs, both of them or more. Assume you get a beloved spawn of both. Assume the rest are NPC's. Assume you can camp in the room, and have just enough time to run to get another grenade before the next and final wave come. Assume there is two entrances to this room, with one door broken, the other door full of hp. The best call is to grab the pipe bomb. Horde comes. You throw the pipe bomb through the broken door when the zombies get too close to you (meaning you've killed off the 2-5 that come first, and then the 20+ that follow, which is when you throw). Zombies leave the door on the other side, which is one hit away from breaking. Now you could run to the get a grenade, or run outof the remaining door and peg some stragglers, and then get the fire one. You do not have enough time to throw the fire nade or the pipe bomb and get another bomb in this time. This next wave they'll becoming through the door on first hit, and will be walking freely through the open entrance. Please note though that the doors must be on the opposite sides of the room with at least 3-6 seconds of walk around time to the other door to prevent throwing the molotov or the pipe bomb in the middle of the room so that the zombies get burnt, or run directly into the pipe bomb. If the doors were so close either bomb would be just as good to use. Anyways, throw the pipe bomb to either side and the zombies on the other side will still come after you after the bomb has exploded, and I'm going to say a good 20-30 too since I'm putting a proper Horde attack into two waves only (more waves = more possiblities and tactics utilizing all of the bombs, not just bringing it down to one or the other). Or throw the molotov inside of your camping spot, go behind it and watch as the hordes run through it to get to you. You just need to be close to the fire and have positioned it so that its in the path of you and the doors. However all this proves is that map positioning plays a huge role, but it also shows that you can use the molotovs in more strategic and tactile ways, than just throwing a pipe bomb and shooting or running away. But really all I was saying was that molotovs are far better for the you & three NPC's on expert, than pipe bombs are. Because you may only carry one, and the molotov can be controlled and manipulated far more than the pipe bomb can be. Not to mention the fire lasts longer than the pipe bomb does as well means you can throw the fire somewhere, and run further than you could with the pipe bomb to give yourself whatever advantage. Show me that the pipe bomb can be controlled, manipulated and can be adjusted to any map to give you the greatest advantage over a molotov combined with map positioning and game experience/knowledge, and I'll have to consider pipe bombs when I'm all by myself and might run into a tank at anytime, and possibly having to run back through the map, alerting a random horde, or running so farb ack that I get stuck somewhere (like in Blood Harvest, the cliff) and can't run back anymore. --- @above tow posts: Or you could have thrown the pipe bomb beforehand, or the molotov beforehand and not have anything to throw. But oh wait the fire would most likely be there to lessen the amount of horde that attack you, and that's only saying if you boomer'd right at the end of the original horde attack. Would only kill off 20-30% of the horde from the boomer, but thats what makes the difference in Expert.

Decent Gfx card?
Same, lol. Just because he'll keep his resolution at a low setting doesn't mean the games he will play will. Most games generally change the resolution to either a minimum setting, or a fixed one. And even then games at that resolution aren't going to be very pretty to look at either. This is somewhat more towards the FPS genre where there's more of this to prevent wider view angles and such in-game. Other games also don't even work below such resolutions anymore, it's becoming more prevalent to be at 1280x720 or higher for gaming. I don't know but it's never good to suggest to someone to buy a gfx card for a resolution that is quickly going out of fashion, especially when 25" monitors are quickly becoming less than $300 w/ a gfx card to handle the resolutions. The ATI Radeon 4830 performs just as good as the Geforce 8800GT. Is either 1-5 FPS ahead or behind against the card as well, usually winning the AA fights: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2 ... 570,00.asp Most of those were above 20 FPS. Plus if you learn to OC, you'll be cranking it up in games that don't demand or that can be lessened for shadows, and matching that 20% loss in performance/price from the 4850. 4830 is $130 and is small enough to fit in the most cramped, wire spammed space ever. Unlike other cards that are wider/longer, so take that into consideration as well, and it only takes up one slot, and not two like some others. Or go get the 8800GT too. But you should find out what Nadril has been asking or we'll be giving you cards you won't be able to use.

Left 4 Dead
I think most of us learned that boomers, smokers & hunters come together at the sametime, but from different directions(usually). I learned that in my first play of Expert. Molotovs(sp?) are far more useful for anything than pipe bombs are. Anyone who goes through a campaign slowly or stopping to kill 'crowds' of zombies (2-5) they're not going to do well or will be extremely lucky. There's three zombie horde attacks that will happen on the finale part in Blood Harvest, andthen the ones to deal with in the actual finale. You can avoid 2/3 of the horde attacks though by running straight to the tractor, don't stop at all. I have been doing Blood Harvest for the past 4 hours and I got through all of the chapters easily by myself. The finale I can very easily get to the finale part, but at that point it's just a loss. Anyways: How to Solo Blood Harvests End Chapter 1. Run from safe house to the Tractor (so the birds fly and attract the zombies (I have yet to find a way around the tractor without disturbing the birds, but I don't think it's possible)). 2. Go to the left side of the cliff (where you fell down), and into that corner. Hopefully your bots came along too. Note run here asa the birds fly, don't run to the tractor aimlessly if they fly away and they come. 3. After this you're home free to the house. 4. For the finale you'll need to hold down the fort up in the second house level. Kill everything beforehand, close all the doors, scout for molotovs or pipe bombs (that you probably won't have anymore, seeing as you'd have ran into a tank already or witch, or needed to use the pipe bomb anyways (though don't use them at all, you should die than use them). Get yourself in the kids room. The tank will most usually get stuck in the window, just make sure all of the guys and yourself are in the kids room. Tip is to close the door and then they'll follow in. Try and put yourself outside the window as much as possible so the tank sees you. The second tank won't get stuck in the window. For the second tank just run around shooting him but remember to edge closer and closer to the vehicle that comes to pick you up, or you'll be screwed at the end. Use gasoline and pick them up, but quickly, don't go more than 2 feet from your straight-sprint to pick them up. Melee the zombies in your way, if you keep going forward and melee they won't fall down and they die easily. Run backwards if the front is clear, to kill off any following you, though this is the job of the bots. Use the bots as bait, lol! But yea the mainpoint is just to run straight to the tractor part. You'll avoid all the other horde events. You'll most likely run into a tank at these spots: 1. The trains right before the train with the ladder to go up. 2. Inbetween the train & cliff. 3. Below the cliff after you fall down (you'll die 98% of the time if this one happens). I died most of the time due to number 3 happening, and he'll only 'appear' as you fall down. Though you could potentially glitch by jumping off the rock backwards and then going forward to the right to just make it back onto the cliff. You don't need to touch the ground for the tank to appear though. Tanks appear as you pass a certain 'point'. Most of the chapters you just run straight to the other safe room while utilizing rooftops, trains, anything you can get to that is higher ground. The secondl ast chapter you run to the barn, go to the roof, then secure the area, then run to the other building, most likely a horde will come, deal with them easily because it's an open area and your bots will be able to turret-fire. Then run to the first house, do whatever in there, or run ot the trains first and get ont top of them. I prefer the house cause there's closests and the chance of items. After that go to the second house, and make a run for the safe house. More importantly kill your bots if they're below 40hp and have nothing on them. Even with health packs kill them.

Left 4 Dead
Easy & Normal, if he crouches or walks he could get by. On advanced he'd have to 'jump' over them and close the door and run away in a very short amount of time. On expert he's screwed. I notice that easy, normal and advanced are extremely easy compared to Expert. It's like there's 3-4 difficulty settings missing between advanced and Expert. You need at least 3 uber l4d players for Expert to get past the chapters, and you'll need gods luck even then with the finale, and that's only if things go correctly/you're lucky. For Easy, Normal, and Advanced, I've done easy and normal by myself, and Advanced I've done with only one other person, and we still had no difficulty at all. Perhaps it's because boomers, smokers & hunters come at the same time in Expert than it's so much more challenging, or that Smokers can grab you from like 50 feet away, or spawn in totally random locations that you'd never expect them to be (No Mercy, finale, it spawned on the side of the building, on a window sill...like seriously?). Either way there's a world of difference between Advanced and Expert. Or is it suppose to be like this? Expert being the totally ridiuclous one that the dev's made for jokes, lol!

Left 4 Dead
Reminds me of when I threw a molotov trying to get it through the door's hole, and it didn't work. Inbetween one of the waves of the horde, I threw another one out (thank you random placing of items), and it landed on a gasoline tank, which went through the door and into our room, killing us all. Great times, especially when we were like a little run to the safe room too! And today I found out by I'm going to break all the metal detectors at the airport one day in real life. I honestly had never gone through them before jsut by random chance up until today. :wall:

Left 4 Dead
Just got the akimbo achievement, so annoying to use pistols, lol. Yea, I'm really surprised there's no 'stamina' sort of thing for sprinting, adrenaline rushes, melee hits, throwing things and such. A lot of the physical stuff could be improved through this stamina thing, but not really be negatively affected as much either, and it would balance stuff out so that the gameplay doesn't become a pattern, even with unique AI. Like for hordes, it's always get into a room, for tanks it's run backwards and if you don't put fire on him, you guys are going to die. The witch is to be left alone, period. There's not really any unique gameplay left, because there's general areas to watch out for, and you know how to react to them, there's no fear or risk of not knowing what to do. Ok sure maybe once or twice in a few dozen campaigns you are unsure what you should do, but it's so rare.

Left 4 Dead
The hard part was getting the bots in the elevator, or relatively 'close' to it. Freaking Louis...>.> Is it just me or is the arm swing + reload, then shoot till out of ammo, then arm swing...etc overpowered? As long as you've got them coming in from one direction, it's extremely easily to fend off as many as you like, as long as you don't run out of primary ammo and you're not using pistols. It's also possible to do it with them coming another direction, but you gotta move your mouse quicker to the sides than the speed of light, lol. But still, I was in Dead Air with the truck thing, and I was in the right closest past the fence that the truck breaks down, and I was able to survive without any team mates, and then getting totally owned by a Hulk in the luggage thing...if only I had a molotov. >.>
-
Left 4 Dead
Not really. Going through the entire 'level' crawling is better than running, and checking each room, while progressing. Hordes will not come three or more times if you've remained in the same spot. I stationed myself & the bots in the elevator on Dead Air, and I left the game up for two hours and no hordes came after I killed the initial 2 hordes rushing.

Was playing through expert on Death Toll earlier, and we had the worst server ever. Disconnects every 3 minutes or less. Boat house was a nightmare. We all lived though, so that's a good thing! Who should I be adding that have the pc version to play with? Looking forward to bs'ing some Tip.Iter's. :D

Was doing Death Toll on expert...big mistake, we had 2 tanks at once, and then there were 4 other tanks that decided to join in. This was at the finale part though, so not through-out the entire 'chapter'. This was online campaign*.
