Don't know if they've stated it yet or not, but there will probably be a discount on upgrading Xp To W7, even if they don't have Vista. Just seems logical. So probably nothing to really worry about. And even then, how Microsoft is heading, Windows 7 won't be that big of a deal compared to their new direction with the web and not with programs on the desktop. Grandmaster quest tomorrow, followed by the Thanksgiving event Thursday, or Friday. Jagex should celebrate the American holidays as the majority of their userbase are not Europeans, but North Americans. It's only common sense to appeal to the needy North Americans. Though that still doesn't mean the Europeans are complaining out of jealousy. If Jagex can pull off a 5 day only event or 3 days only, then they could do major World Wide Events too.

I believe there are elements/substances which we haven't discovered yet, but sometimes we use them without us knowing by accident and thus small things happen. Not bringing people back to life, not communicating with the dead, or anything, but like small healing and such. There is a video on YouTube or something about a guy living in the west though, that performs surgeries, with no blood (caught on tape), and has saved hundreds from lethal diseases, and believes that the devils or something overtake him and thus he is able to peform the surgeries. The video is somewhere on YouTube, hopefully someone can direct us to it!

I agree, it's well worth the price, but this guy is wanting it for his university duration. I don't know if he'll want to play games, or have money to play games, or what in Uni he'll be doing on it. If its just essays and such, then Nadril was correct in the terabyte HDD, or less too. But if he wants to game on the side, and uni is 5, 7, or 10 years, then this comp isn't going to stand very tall then, and he'll be looking for another one. That's just what I'm on about, but it is priced extremely well though. Which is a good reason to buy, but who knows.

Or go to like Futureshop, or whatever computer store is near you, and ask them if they have anything relative to the specs that are above (so yes, write or print the above, or whatever and bring it to the store). In most cases they will either try to sell you a similar one, or order it for you with a bit of an extra charge. Before you buy anything, make sure you get quotes, or write down the specs of the machines they've offered you, then come back to us and we'll tell you if they are scamming, or it's 'good'. You may want to negotiate with your mom first about opening the computer up, before you go and buy anything. You're missing RAM, CPU, & GFX Card power, the main three you need to play any kind of game like Guitar Hero. I also don't know how you got Vista with such low RAM & a bad processor speed...? You should, or it looks like you should be using XP, or switching off a lot of the Vista GUI elements.

It's Windows XP Professional. Which means it does include all the Microsoft stuff, though not sure if it'll be the 2007 Microsoft Bundle, or not. Even if it doesn't, OpenOffice is your best friend, free, and works similar to the Microsoft Bundle. Still, that computer is only going to get you 30 FPS on Crysis. Two-Four years from now, I can see Crysis either getting upgraded further so that it is still a 'FPS Tester', or newer games are putting Crysis to shame with the enhancement of gfx cards, CPU's...etc. That is the bare minimum though, so expect it to be out-dated within that 2-4 years from now. It'll still work, but I don't know if you'll want to play Crysis for the next 10 years only, and not get into any other games that demand more RAM, Video Memory, and higher CPU processing speeds (it will happen). It's kind of 'dumb' in a sense to just buy something that will barely play Crysis on 'good' settings. Like Vista 64bit, or waiting until what Windows 7 brings to the table would be a good idea. My main point is you're buying out-dated technology that will play a game that has been the 'ultimate frames per second' game and is starting to fall down in terms of difficulty of achieving good FPS, and with the new technologies out this year, and the next year, Crysis won't be a game that is hard to get 80FPS with on high settings, soon, and even 50FPS at an affordable price. I don't know, it'll probably do you good, but expect to be looking for another one soon if you plan on playing anything more in the coming years, as quad core technology gets integrated, or used more maturely in games (or just look at the i7s), and dual core dwindles away. A lot will change in 4-5 years, and I don't know what you're going to Uni for, but that's about the time span most spend at uni anyways. It is a good computer right now, but look into the future. I'm not saying to spend like $2000 or anything, but spending say $500 more on top of $700 will allow you to keep the laptop and keep up with developing technology/games for a longer period of time, and will probably save you money. I don't know, it's just something to think about, not meaning to scare you from buying it, as it is a good computer for $700, but thats for the standards that are right now, and not the standards that will develop in April 09, or August 09, or August 010. I don't know, perhaps it's just the nagging of buying something that is designed to play a game, specifically, and might perform well in other tasks, but things were probably ignored in the process of the development of it, but I just had to say this.

I share the same view. The ones that you hear about are always eccentric, or have a willingness to achieve, or have good courage, and aren't lazy. If you put such genes into most of the human population, you'll have worse wars, more terror, and the overall money to research such things will go to such a waste, and as in other topics an elitist human community that can afford, or have a select amount of the 'cool' or 'better' abilities would be a separation and would probably start a war for whatever we may know. Still passing on genes to prevent diseases is morally right, but it's also defying nature, and when we are able to combat bacteria/diseases (whatever) into a small corner, there's nothing left for us to stop reproducing, and we'd run out of resources by the 2100-2200 century if there isn't any major wars/destruction/natural disasters...etc. There's a few documentaries about this 'effect'. Forget what it's called. There are just times when humans need to be able to be killed by other predators, it's just natural for us, and other ecosystems.

Like I said move to Canada, you'll find jobs shoveling snow even, just going door to door, $3 for the sidewalk & driveway, and takes like 20 minutes. It works, raked in over $2k last winter in one month of doing it. Better than any 'official' job. No taxes, gf.

They announced the launch of the game cards quite a ways back, I guess they are trying to re-hype them and everything. Good fight marketing schemes, posting such material the day before an update. Very sleazy, but I guess it works. They could actually, you know, include something interesting regarding the update tomorrow, just so it's worth reading the articles.

Have they tried it with different browsers? Browser could be corrupted or something. Can they click the 'free members' button, and it works? This & DVD's will probably solve what the problem is, but even then a system restore, & reinstalling java tells me something about the network being picky, which would mean either a software problem selecting Runescape in particular, and letting other java games go by. Tell your friend to go play some games at funorb and see if they work. Also what country does your friend live in anyways? Might be a problem there too.

To be honest, I don't blame him. It's so annoying hen someone screws up, or multiple players do. Whether they are inexperienced or just messing around, it's annoying. I don't want to be hindered by others in raids, even if it is for fun. If I could I would do what this guy has done, as other human interaction allows for mistakes, unlike when you are in control, you know what to do in almost every scenario.

I've heard about 4 or 5 suicides on a live feed the past few weeks. Is it becoming something popular or the new way to go out? To have a little last 10 minutes of fame, and be the center of attention, before they go do whatever to kill themselves? Not to sound mean or ignorant, but this is what will be the downfall of the internet when the equivalent of MADD is formed, but based on the internet. -.-
