  1. There's your problem. Uhm, XP + Rs only on low detail, he has enough for those. Especially when he says that he was able to play fine a couple of months ago, so unless RAM is temperamental than I don't know. Still wouldn't hurt to upgrade it. Have you changed how you connect to the internet in anyway since that couple of months ago? Via wireless, physical connection, location change..etc.
  2. Yep, the major things like banks, credit card sites, email sites, and the servers they run from have all been updated, it's just the non-important, unappealing sites/hosts that haven't patched themselves.
  3. Lol, OLED is amazing. I went to a sony convention (it wasn't a sony convention, but 80% of everything there was from Sony) about 5 or so months ago, and the videos and pictures don't do the true quality of them justice. They're so clear.
  4. There was a few games that were centred around two mice & two keyboards. I also believe that there wasa Nascar game released and there was a bug that enabled you to have dual keyboards and use them for p1 and p2 (both keyboards would use the arrow keys at the same time, and not just use wasd and arrow keys, lol). But really with online gameplay nowadays it's not even needed.
  5. On the official forums there were a few diehard fans of funcom. You stated anything negative about funcom they'd give you a paragraph of how your life is tormented by past histories of drug and molestation abuse. It was such an epic thing to read, until failcom over there started to ban the negativiters and keep the suck-ups. =P @Vidi; The 360 release is bullcrap. There's still tons of client crashes in AoC, hardware issues still conflict with the software, resulting in low FPS, and that's just the start of the problems that still exist and have been created. I liked the graphics but technical issues are really annoying. >.>
  6. I swear it was 25? Did they recently raise it to 30, or has it been at 30 for so long?
  7. You know those pictures don't reflect what direction Jagex is aiming it's target audience at. Good fight, would suck if they got out and totally dampened the PR of Jagex. Wishful thinking...:( Anyways Happy B-Day to the idiot who allowed the wild to be removed but whatever, 30 is apparently fun, you know after living through your prime years of living...etc. =D>
  8. Fixed. Sorry I had to do that ever since I've seen this: --- Though I bet some will laugh at this: http://www.endsights.com/?p=352 Still set for the Xbox 360 eh? =P Oh, did anyone know that the game director quit AoC, or all of funcom after 16 years? http://news.filefront.com/age-of-conan- ... isfaction/
  9. Your attitude and personality have a defining factor in how things in your life will turn out. However, regardless of what your attitude and personality are, the outcome will remain different for everyone. Just because you act this way, does not mean another person will receive the same outcome as you if they act the same, or have the same feelings, or same morals. For example a person with a negative attitude and personality towards life could become a millionaire, while a happy, generous living person is beaten and terrorized their entire life till they commit suicide. The person who committed suicide only lasted so long because of their personality and attitude. The negative person only became a millionaire because they took dangerous chances and got lucky, resulting in money gain. Though for another group of people this could be entirely different. What I've just said is what I hope the majority of the population knows. All this movie stuff is just something a women was talking about, someone misunderstood her original point, and though to themselves...'Hmm, I need money, if I take this idea, I can make it into a movie, and sucker in that other 99% of the population into buying it.' All they are telling you is what you already know but making it seem like it's something different.
  10. http://www.wired.com/techbiz/people/mag ... f_kaminsky Two paragraphs quoted out of a 5 page article. What's everyone's thoughts on this, or is it completely blown out of proportion of the severity of this? To be honest if it's as it sounds it's pretty messed up and freaky that something so easy got past so many people (or it hasn't and has been a well kept secret). But yea, it's pretty interesting how software/hardware still has it's open holes.
  11. I have to post just to say how awesome the main post is. :D The dragonkin really are the driving forces in Runescape.
  12. They say you have to use english, but I'm really tempted to use the oldest versions of English sometimes. :D
  13. Wait till Dark Fall comes out. :D Group PvP will be the bomb. Don't shoot me for saying this when it's not even in OB, and they've been talking about beta for 2 years, or more...(lol).
  14. I haven't played WAR, but I think you're going to be completely wiped from existence for that. WoW and WAR have different play types, and the basic setting of each game is extremely different. Like the emphasis on the main thing of gameplay is different. They are entirely different games based for different audiences of players. But that's all I got from my 2 hours of play of WAR.
  15. lol AoC is such an epic fail. Failcom pic anyone? =P AoC is fun till you hit...50. After 50 there is hardly any quests (ok, I think they put more quests in since September 1st, but not sure), there isn't anything but Combat, PvP, crafting system & Quests. That is all there is. And they aren't very in-depth aspects either. Combat, you train to 80, and then you do all the dungeons about once or twice, and then there is nothing else to gain from raiding. In PvP you have a crappy, unworking PvP system that has been said to be updated by January 1st to better reflect what the players want (bullcrap). Then there's quests, they run out quickly as that's what you'll mainly use to level. From 1 to 50, your combat experience is probably 6/7 gained from quests, alone. After you do all of those, you have Guilds. Ok, build a guild city, or help build one...they really do not serve any purposes except for giving minimal bonuses in certain things like combat. Crafting system is epic fail as they don't compliment each other and don't ever produce anything of value at all. There is no point in doing the crafting system at all. You gain nothing and only spend things. The weapons you make are crap, but you can enchant them, but with the gem updates, it's still not worth doing as orange or purple weapons can still produce much better stats. They need to re-development their crafting, PvP & combat system so that there is an actual flow of 'energy' in the game. And that there is an actual point in the game, and then to create 'mini-game' things to keep you playing. In about one month you'll complete everything there is to do in the game, aside from some quests, dungeons & crafting items because of the sheer annoyance it is to make or do some. I haven't played WAR, but reading reviews of both games, and then reviews that compare the games, WAR is definitely the better choice, especially with this achievement system they have in War that will keep you busy. I know Nadril is a pvp maniac and if he still logs on to do RvRs or whatever than it's probably a very good aspect of the game. Than again all of these issues and everything are fixed by a game called Runescape, but who knows who'll overlook it. =P Regardless though I played AoC and got to lvl 69 or 70, and it wasn't worth my time.
  16. Chrome/Mozzilla. Youtube vids don't play too great in chrome all the time. >.> I love how FF is at the top of the list though. =P
  17. I'm not really worrying about it, I'm just posting about the opportunity that is available.
  18. I thought the 'pop-up' only appeared once, and then never was viewable again until the time out runs out, or a new session is started? Meaning you won't get two pop-ups from going to the main site, to the forums. Correct? I'm not talking about the website, but the forums. The forums only have one ad. The main site has more. I hardly ever click ads, sometimes I do when I remember it'll help Tip.It, but more than likely I'll ignore them. However when you meant 'we' I assume you meant the users of Tip.It, but I don't know if you meant registered, or non-registered users. Registered will most likely never be bothered by them, but I do know that people do click ads if they are somewhat interesting and don't sound corny/like a scam. So it's not all for a loss. Plus the ads are clicked on the site, which fuels money as said by admins/mods, so I can only assume that the ads on the forums would thus as well bring in some form of payment. There's many things that will make a fansite expand it's features, other than just booming with the money to pay for them. Things like competition and deals do play a factor into it as well. I'm not saying expenses weren't something to consider with the updates, but I don't think they were that big of a deal because Tip.It needed to expand it's features to include the various updates. I'm not saying silv is poor, or whatever, but I know I wouldn't want to be putting in my own money to pay for the site and such when there are large amounts of unused forum space, or potential space usable for ads.
  19. It has been said by the admins, and some mods that the forums do not pick up their own weight in terms of money. Though because apparently Silverion or whoever is in control of the financial aspect of Tip.It hardly lets loose of what makes what, so I really don't know if the rumours that the forums do not make enough to support themselves but are held up by the website ads as well. Anyways... The board has one advertisement. That's it. I think Tip.It has several ways to increase the ads without users getting too unhappy. 1. The large ad at the top. Is there a reason why it is so large? Is the money from views/clicks equal to the proportion/pixel size of the banner? If not, wouldn't it be better to find a smaller ad, and then put two side by side up at the top? This way you could potentially get double? Then again if the size of the ad there is giving what two ads could give, then disregard this. 2. Unregistered users. If you're unregistered, why not view more ads? They haven't registered really, so why not put more ads in? Here's some places where you could put ads for them: First post of every topic. Basically the second post in a topic, but it goes below the main post. This could even work for registered users, though I suggest a poll if this happens. Last post of every topic. Would only be enabled if the topic had more than two pages, so it wouldn't like redundant having two ad posts on one page. At the bottom of the forums between the Board Index link and the 'post reply' button. Could possibly place ads in certain 'high traffic' topics through-out the forums. So they only appear in that topic (if possible?). I don't know, it just seems that Tip.It isn't utilizing a lot of forum space, and since there's no new features, why not use ads? Sure people don't like ads, but I'm pretty sure there's a large portion of unregistered users who use the forums, where a good amount could be generated from. You could even include in the ad post a sentence of 'To disable these ads, please register'. Then of course you'd put an ad in the Register screen too! So I'm just wondering here. I don't particularly know if there are ad companies that can be this versatile with the placements of the ads, but it's not bad trying to find any. Also don't know what connections there are between the ad on here, and the ads on the main site, that may cause conflicts by removing the one on here. Thoughts? - Another place could be profiles.
  20. Mod Ash is or was spawning Turkeys through-out several worlds earlier to combat the bug that was formulated on release. They all went to certain locations and just stayed there, like in the above. There's a good 100 or so Turkeys that I saw from lumby to draynor though.
  21. http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/proce ... d[Caution: Executable File].html http://www.auditmypc.com/process/mcshield.asp http://www.liutilities.com/products/win ... /mcshield/ http://www.what-is-exe.com/filenames/mcshield-exe.html http://searchtasks.answersthatwork.com/ ... e=McShield http://www.pcpitstop.com/libraries/proc ... d[Caution: Executable File].html ^ The forums have a general amount of activity, look through there and decide if you want to run the full test or whatever it is that they claim will work to identify processes. *Tbh they have a really nice tech oriented forum...* --- Right click and open the file location to see where it is at too, and if it's in a totally unrelated file to McAfee, run a scan on it with something, or just remove it. Or post where the file is saved too if it's not in a related file to McAfee before doing anything as well. Apparently it's not recommended to be removed either.
  22. For gaming on the dual monitors it might put more strain on it, but unless you're using both monitors for the one game, and not just having the one game on one monitor, and keeping the other for basic stuff like browsing, than it shouldn't do anything strenuous... Or so I've been told.
  23. Been learning ActionScript/Flash in my High School course, we've done a lot of the basics, and are now moving into using all of the basics to create a little bit more complex programs/games than just having say a normal race track, more so combat related elements and such, and manipulating functions, variables, arrays and basic commands to a higher level. So because of that I've been looking online for communities around ActionScript/Flash that are helpful, and aren't just there to help you, but to communicate with you and to work together in a more friendly kind of sense. I've really been drawn into the possibilities with AS to be honest. It's a nice, simple language with a lot of power for moderate programming, and has tons of opportunities in web programing. I've looked at numerous forums, and help sites, but the majority are either underdeveloped, horribly disorganized, or the level of knowledge is very basic, and not up to formulating complex scripts in ActionScript. I know I've only been learning AS for 3 months now, but our teacher does have his Masters in CS, and his thesis was on AS and he's informing us that we've got around 3/5s of the entire language done, and whats left is just simple tricks & shortcuts, and to broaden our creativity with the code. Which is exactly why I'm looking for a community! Another thing I'm looking for is tutorials, or guides, or whatever that are organized neatly, and are presented well enough so that you can actually learn from them. A lot of guides off Google are astonishingly dreadful, or non-specific. So if you know of any, please post! And if anyone here is doing, or is learning AS, I'd be glad to hear about anything you know as well! :) Thanks for any effort!
  24. There are no rules. Best way to learn to pk is to take what you don't care about losing, good food for your combat level, and just keep trying till you perfect your own play style. All downhill from there.
