1. http://www.tastekid.com A lot of times I find myself wanting to find a movie to watch, but it is annoying and time consuming to search manually for relevant movies. Same thing for music and TV series. So a few days ago I came across this website, which is a discovery search site (or whatever technical term you want to call it) and it is by far the best of these types of sites I have found. The results or recommendations it makes for you are extremely accurate. I'm a big movie fan, so I know what types of movies I'm wanting to receive from the movies I enter as my 'likes' and the results I get back are just right. Out of the other discovery features for music, tv and authors, the movie section is by far the most accurate and helpful. I've only been let down once by the recommendations and I've watched around 13 films since using the feature, so the success rate is decent. Music is also fairly accurate. I've found a lot more bands who focus on my interests more than just finding one song that peaks my interest but finding out that the band who made the song, was just a one time deal. With this, I'm finding bands, not individual songs, which are relevant to my interests. This is something that Last.fm and other music discovery sites have a problem with, in my opinion. The book/author search is probably just as good, but I'm too limited in my authors/books to really give it a run through. The other benefit of this site is that there is a community aspect to it, so you can view other people's profiles and see what movies they've liked and get recommendations based off of their likings and such. It is also free too, so why not enjoy it before it gets monetized. Another thing that people dislike doing is having to manually type in their bands/films/songs to get recommendations. You still have to do this but with the accurate recommendations you're going to find that once you type in one film or song or band name, the results are going to be band and film names you already have. So you just have to like them as they automatically pop up. It is less of a hassle and is a great benefit. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I have, since all other discovery sites have failed me through inaccurate results, limited use or there's a pay to use part to the site. Enjoy. - If you need an example profile: http://www.tastekid.com/Ink Or just register and fiddle around with it.
2. Is there an auto-update feature in this or not? Would be a good indicator of future things to come.
3. What is Jagex trying to do with all of these updates? Why are they only putting in flashy rewards and not doing unique game play elements, that are attractive and repeatable for the players to do? Where is this content?
4. Unanswered LOST Questions: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1936291 I was content with the Finale. Wasn't enough of a LOST mystery/mystic kind of ending as I had hoped, but it was in line with the theme of the show.
5. Leagues should limit it to 1 medic per 4 players. DICE should put a limit on how many times a player can be revived, like maybe twice - and each time could add to the respawn timer.
6. Do you know how mad players get when you kill them with the UAV? Get ready to laugh, hard.

Zelda, Episode 3, Portal 2, Medal of Honor, and a whole truckload of indie games. Hoping to find out how Microsoft is planning on utilizing Natal in video games, how it will be able to work with actual games and not games designed around the thing. As well as how the new Zelda game for the Wii is going to work, seeing as how Twilight Princess was just a Gamecube port and wasn't completely focused on the new possibilities the Wii console gave to games. Or if they'll even use the motion controller in any new way with the game.
8. Was Locke referring to Desmond at the end? I think he was, as it doesn't sound like he knew they had foiled his plan to kill them all. Season Finale is now thirty minutes longer.
9. That had to be one of the best episodes LOST has ever had. Like Locke's big reveal on what his plan is and the real reason why he really can't leave the Island. AMAZING episode not only because of what we found out but like, just, it was a boss episode. [hide]I'm upset that they brought Jin & Sun back together, and then killed them. GG.[/hide]
10. SVU > VSS. At every range and situation. I don't know why they did not do anything different with the VSS or with the SVU to not make one gun so inferior. I played in another server with all level 40s and the SAIGA was being used by everyone. Like holy crap annoying.
11. A lot of people don't realize that the Recon class is extremely useful and valuable in certain situations, but is completely useless in other situations (unless they're decent). So many people just want to play their own class, playing to their own classes strenghts and not considering the Recon, or how they could use them or incorporate them. They expect the Recon's to cover them when they rush into a group of enemies, or expect the Recon's to play a style that isn't theirs. If you push an objective, make sure you camp/roam somewhere where a scope can actually support you and not hide behind a wall that blocks the Recon's view. Too many people play to their own accord and don't take into consideration other classes play styles. A Medic may get 2k or 3k points in a game, but a Recon will get 500 points that meant so much more to the outcome of the game. 500 points from spotting dozens of opponents, locking down objectives from long range, telling the team where the enemy is moving to on a large scale, mortar spamming objectives & vehicles, C4'ing roads/objectives/vehicles and just being the most annoying thing the enemy has to deal with. If you have a scope and get a M-COM station bomb planted, the defending team should not be able to disarm it. If your flag is being captured and you have a Recon, the opposition is going to lose tickets fast. The amount of points you get in a round means absolutely nothing to what team will win the game. Your entire team may all have 2k points, and the other team only has say 600 points on average, and they still could be the winners. Points are not that important. L2P with each other's strengths and weaknesses in order to incorporate and compliment your team mates during the match.
12. Is the M95 really that weak now? I need to go in-game and see if I'm still getting one-shot kills with it at medium distances. I might be upset if it is weak like this, as the reason why it is so heavy, small clip and long reload times, is because of its high damage output. I still prefer the GOL over the others though, it isn't too difficult to quickscope headshots from medium distances and in CQC no-scoping for a one shot kill is almost guaranteed.
13. Skill level factors in the time you've played in the past 24/48/72 hours or something like this. And checks to see how much score or points you've earned and then from that outputs your skill level. Or so I've been told.
14. I am rather annoyed at Squad Rush and how no one really knows the 'secret' or 'lesser known' routes around each of the maps. They just play the map where they see it when they spawn. I guess I'm starting to get past the pubbing stage in BFBC2. Scrimming ftw.
15. It is still better than 80% of the guides you can find online for this type of thing. I'm wondering if something about sorting algorithms should be included though. As that may be universal and common enough, or at least for people to realize what they are. Bubble Sort, Selection Sort, Insertion Sort, Quick Sort, Heap Sort, Merge Sort, and Shell Sort. Maybe just Bubble, Selection, Insertion & Quick would be good enough, with a reference to learn the other sorts. I have all of these sorts coded in C#, just give me a few days to find them if you think it would be appropriate for this guide. They're also all methods, not functions...so. :/
16. I don't know where you could add this but it may be beneficial to newcomers, as this topic is highly focused on the syntax and not the semantics as much as I would like to see. If you want to get a strong handle on a new language, or even to gauge how well you know your current languages, it is best to tackle problem solving problems, instead of trying to design a program with a purpose. With problem solving you need to understand the syntax and the semantics. Not just copy and paste code and hope it all works out. Figuring out the following problems, or how to write programs that can solve the below programs will definitely increase your understanding of the language or even help you further in becoming a programmer. The following are the basic problem solving tasks I've been told to complete through-out the online tutorials and in-class conditions. This is a list of those problems that I think bring the best outcome in the understanding of the language. Try to mentally figure out how to solve these problems first however: Loops: 1. Write out 1 to 10 using a loop only. 2. Retrieve two numbers as input, and loop from the smaller number to the highest number, then stop. 3. Using only loops write out a multiplication table for the number entered by the user (If they enter 10, do the multiplication table up to 100 - this is a full 10x10 'grid' of numbers, if the number entered was 10, if it is 8, it would be an 8x8 'grid'). Strings: 1. Enter a string as input to the program, and have the program find any occurrences of any character entered by the user. 2. For each letter in a string, increase it so it changes to the next letter ahead of it in the alphabet. Do not increase punctuation symbols or spaces. 3. Read from a file, and for each LINE in the text file, write that line backwards (including punctuation symbols). Not the entire document backwards, but line by line backwards. 4. In a text file, find any 'scattered occurrences' of the word entered by the user. If the word was 'pie', then your program would go through the text file to find the straight scattered occurrences of the letters 'p', 'i', and 'e'. At the end it would output the number of occurrences found and where the occurrences are by line number. Arrays: 1. Swap every two index values in an array, using a loop. 2. Create a multiplication table using an array. 3. Create a 4x4 Sudoku puzzle using an array, without any graphical support, all text based. --- Doing these basic problem solving tasks, you should gain a higher understanding of whatever language you're trying to learn, or get a handle on. This is also very basic in terms of where problem solving can get to in computer programming. Most universities are or should be handing out this level of problem solving questions to first years.
17. You don't. Once it is compiled, there is no reference to the original language that was used. Unless the compiler used leaves that information in the files source code after compiling it. Compiling puts the program into machine code, the original language used is not kept, unless as stated earlier the compiler leaves some trace or information about it intentionally. This is to my knowledge.
18. I thought the character who would die could be any player and up to the players, not just one specific character?
19. The T88 might now be a worthwhile weapon to use. As it had the RoF, but the damage was just really, really bad. It might become the new M60, if the PKM has been brought down enough. Though while playing today the M60 was a 4 shot kill at medium distances in Hardcore. So who knows. The Assault Class changes, I love them all. The AN-94 won't be limited to just CQC now. It still shines in CQC but now it shouldn't get wrecked at longer ranges against LMGs as it was. I hope in the next patch they change the way Medic's can revive people. The ability to revive endlessly and in such a short amount of time really brings game play to its knees. Competitive leagues should be limiting it down to 1 medic per squad, or even 1 medic for every eight players. Still liked this patch though, if the changes are as how they've been feeling and how they have been stated.
20. FINALLY. About darn time they reunite. EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE EPISODE IS IRRELEVANT AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. It was still a good episode and I'm sure there was a lot to it and everything, but waiting, what, a season and a half for them to finally come back? [hide]I'm also coming to the realization that the central theme of LOST is love, or at least this is something that is really deeply implanted in LOST. If you take a look at the couples/those who have confessed their love for each other in the Island Timeline, and those in the Alternate Timeline, and then you compare how those two timelines are interacting or working towards each other, then it becomes very apparent that love is suppose to be a large theme. That or Good Vs Evil mixed with love. It is just that this is much more apparent than in previous seasons, but upon looking back at previous seasons, it is now more solid.[/hide]
21. Dr. Pepper likes to chase after this gamer market. They got ties with CEVO, MLG and a lot of Publishers like EA.
22. Recon + Saiga + SDM = Good game.
23. T88 LMG is horrible. I have no idea how I die from this gun as often as I do. Really pounding away at unlocking everything in the Medic class. Also only have two pins left to get (they're easy ones imo) to have acquired all pins. I also hate how steep the level/exp curve is from level 23s to level 30. Like, geez, I need my hiking boots.

Source: http://ve3d.ign.com/...hanges#comments[/hide] So they're not going to tell us what weapon tweaks they're going to make. Which is kind of ok, but then we can just go into the game and find out the exact stats and just compare. So meh. But at least they're balancing the weapons out. I wonder if they will increase damage or RoF on the less used weapons and even reduce 40mm grenades to 70 DMG instead of 100. I don't know but the M60 and M1911 need to definitely be touched in this patch. That is, if this patch isn't a very good fake.
25. I think it is a good idea, why do you think it is a bad idea?
