  1. You can do the order and get the pin though. You don't need other people to make the order, you can do it by yourself, or so that is how I thought I got it.
  2. Press Q or whatever button spot is on the consoles on the flags/objectives. Attack is when you press Q when you're going to capture the flag. When defending, it is when your flag is being attacked and you kill the people attacking it. You just need one Flag Defense point to get it, if you have Q pressed and the animation on the objective is there. *Not sure if it has to involve your squad though. **It can also be while you attack an M-COM and then defend it from being disarmed, I do believe.
  3. Most ISPs' in Canada have a data usage chart on their website for customers. Cogeco, Rogers and Bell all have this functionality.
  4. Without downloading movies, music or other files, I hit 40gb's every month, just from browsing the internet & playing various games. Streaming video is a large portion of this, but you're going to find out you're severely limited in what you can do. And this is from when I was cutting back significantly, it is usually in the 110gb to 130gb range per month. Though it will still be better than dial-up, even if you are limited.
  5. I need 40 more kills with the M416, and like 25 more for the 40mm shotgun (if you can get a gold on that?) to complete the entire Assault class for gold stars, pins and insignias. Then I'll focus on the Recon or Engineer class...:/ With the 40mm shotgun I got a triple kill with one shot. I was like, wow? Really? Cool.
  6. I decided to get gold stars on all of the weapons, or at least try to before I stop playing for whatever reason. But when I was doing the 40mm gold star, I realized how easy it is to just camp at a distance, have the double grenade perk, set down a supply crate and just lol yourself to 20 - 2. Was amazed at how unhindered it is to just spam the 40mms, like really? I am surprised the servers I join that are all level 30s/40s, everyone isn't just spamming them as their main weapon. I know one or two kids will be doing that in any random pub, but really, they're worse than the M60 and much easier to use.
  7. Lol. Futile argument is futile. What mouse these days doesn't come with firmware, with macro abilities? What search engine are you using that you can't find software for macroing keys? Jagex can not stop people from using such general macro software. There is no in-game mechanic they can introduce that wouldn't be a hindrance to everyone else.
  8. Nadril's (current/altered) post count makes me nerdrage. Squad Rush, I find to get the most enjoyment out of. Perhaps it is because of the lack of vehicles and like hardcore letscampwithmym60allday players...:/
  9. Friends on your Friendslist who are on the other team. Has to be five different people.
  10. I was like why are there so many pokemon related images and then I saw it was staff and then I remember April Fools. Lol. Looks like a lol contest. Also did I misread or am not getting a joke about the yellow member text? Cause Pokemon blue was better than Pokemon yellow. Nadril's post count...good game. You saved him a lot of time.
  11. I really think the M16 is the best close quarters weapon to use for the Assault class. Just because it is so accurate, you don't need to scope in, and its RoF is fast enough to outgun most other weapons but some LMGs. The AN-94 is best at long and medium because it retains its damage far more than any other weapon at longer distances and headshots are still a 2 or 3 shot kill with it at medium distances. That and it is hard to not miss shots with the burst cap on it. I hate the M416 and think it is far too inferior and doesn't have any real application that the AN or M16 can't come out on top at. My ranking would be (in order of worst to best): AEK-71 < STG.77 AUG < F2000 Assault < M146 <XM8 < M12/AN-94. The first three in this list though are REALLY bad in comparison to other top tier weapons in the Assault class and in other classes, in my opinion. Unless you're like <5m's with the F2000, it is just inferior. And at that range the AN could be a two shot kill.
  12. Yea, I'm kind of disappointed not being able to know what MMG said in his testimony. I know he could have gone on about several things, but specifically what, which helped Bruce so much, would be interesting to read.
  13. I'd have to argue that some of the lighting and 'atmospheric qualities' in some of the levels/maps in MW2 do have more appealing traits than any map in BC2 does. The detail in the textures are relatively the same but the style for BC2 tries to look more realistic, than just making a guy wear clothing item X and make it look believable. This difference is why the realistic approach looks better than the MW2 'believable' approach, even if either one was inferior in graphics. Also the openness/spaciousness in BC2 doesn't present a lot of detail if you look at the maps in their entirety, in comparison to MW2 where the maps are smaller and thus look more 'filled in'. I think BC2 still looks better though simply because I am a fan of realistic art styles in video games and that the openness of the maps isn't a flaw to me as some may believe it to be. ----- @Mcneil: Do I hate Medics who continue to revive me in a 'lose-lose' situation. Especially if the reason I died was because four/five enemies rushed us, and I ran out of ammo with one or two guys left, and I get revived to not be able to defend myself without using a pistol or quickly trying to switch to something usable, which isn't enough time anyways. Makes me mad. --- Also, I'm beginning to notice that more and more teams prefer to destroy the building the M-COM station is in, rather than try to blow the M-COM up. Reasons why is that you can stay at a distance, so you don't lose tickets. If you get four guys spamming their 40mm Grenades and just one tank, that building will go down quickly. I have trouble imagining doing the C4s on the UAV and just wrecking the building very quickly. I think it would be like tenish C4's to take down a full-sized building? I don't know, just interesting to think of.
  14. Don't worry though, it will be back, eventually. So enjoy your comfortable browsing while it lasts.
  15. So apparently all the cool kids have two pictures indexed. So: [hide=Gamer Glasses] [/hide] I'd like the second image in this post indexed, the gamer glasses one can be left alone, as it is for the lols. :P Second image now under B ~ Bongo
  16. Yay...no, not really. I'm pretty amazed at how much easier it is to use Assault than it is to use Recon. Been playing as Assault with the AN - 94 and geez I'm ashamed I had trouble with these pubs with Recon, by how not difficult it is. AN94 is also a headshot beast.
  17. Oh my god. Jihad UAV. Complete GENIUS. Too awesome to even describe the amount of fun you could have with that, like lol. GOL is the best scope. At long range, it is very easy to aim for the head, and even at medium distances. At close range quickswitching is a viable option with it and really any pistol will kill the other guy in one shot after you tag them. AN-94 though. It rocks.
  18. Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click here. Lol. The dialogue makes it worthwhile to watch. -------- Flanking is a very generous in this game and I always have a difficult time asking myself should I knife, pistol, or make a loud noise with my main weapon? Answer is always different, which I'm happy for. And if you're interested in really specific weapon stats and information on the game down to the core: http://denkirson.xan.../bad-company-2/ http://bfbc2info.blogspot.com/ *This 'appears' to be more correct for the current version of the game. **LOL @ the obvious OP of the M60 compared to the other weapons for the Medic. L.O.L. Scrolling down you'll find extensively detailed charts. Like wow.
  19. Hardcore with the GOL is lol. I feel like I'm going to get kicked off the server. Hardcore really is favoured towards scope though, as if you aren't scoping, you're going to be limited in what you can do. Even then though, it still is nice to have 'that' type of a play in any game. My preference is split 50/50. I am starting to get annoyed with Recon. I know I can be a better team player if I went Assault, but I'm holding out on that I'll eventually learn the spots and learn how to play the Recon in this game to its full potential. But it really isn't going well, especially in pubs where you have to be playing those objectives because your team isn't so reliable. Definitely going to stick with Recon though until I get to 1k kills with it, then I'll go over to Assault and check out the AN-94. Gun wrecks me every day. The motion mines though are extremely useful - I wouldn't underrate them. Throw them at any objectives and it is impossible for people to ninja disarm or capture. And it is very easy for your squad/team to lock it down. Pretty boss imo.
  20. Scopes who camp way too far back are annoying in that they're not being as helpful as they could be for the objective. It isn't that hard to quickscope with the GOL or even the M95 and then quickswitch to a pistol. And if you don't spam your grenade on each spawn, you'll be able to come out on top with relative ease majority of the time, when you play aggressive CQ with Recon. The motion detectors are amazingly useful if you throw them at an objective that is currently 'active'. Mortar Spamming is bad, but it is useful for objectives as well. It is just highly irritating to see Recon players sitting really far back and their score is 1/4 and have less than 200 points. They would be more useful using their pistols at the objectives instead of sitting so far back. Some people need to learn to aim for the head while quickscoping. Like mad.
  21. http://www.bitstorm.org/gameoflife/ Trying to do that in C# and Java, without looking at any tutorials. It hasn't been that hard to code yet, but it is a mind melter at times.
  22. It would work if it was limited to certain forums but not the entire board. If you enabled it for the entire board, you will have topic titles & descriptions pleading for +rep, directly or indirectly. A group of 'high reps' will gain confidence to post useless and meaningless topics just because they'll be able to with their 'status'. People will be ignored, or ridiculed when posting something that may be slightly incorrect. For instance, if I posted that to wield Steel in RS, you needed level 4 defense, others will notice the low post count, low rep and rip the poster to shreds - it happens already with post count, don't give another incentive. If you were to limit it to how PureMage has it set up, it would still cause the same problems, it would just take a longer amount of time to reach the point where mods need to intervene. Oh and mods will have to intervene a lot. This is a RuneScape board, going to bet the average is below 15. I'm going to bet the majority on here spend any money they get as soon as they acquire it. This mentality is just going to create spam and nuisances. However, if you were to only enable this in certain forums, it could be steered in the right direction for a more proper use than just rep. If you were to implement a system like this in The Gallery, users could use this to get a much more accurate critique on their work and be able to separate users who may not know anything at all, to those who have been voted/repped by the community in that forum for their own work and accurate critique. As well as any other uses The Gallery users could think of, for such a system. It could even be used as a reward for any competitions held in there. Same concept applies to almost every "General Discussions" forum and sub-forum. Though the specific mods for each forum should be able to inform the admins how to fine-tune each system appropriately and correctly for each forum. Using a rep/vote/status system for these reasons is much better than the vague reason of 'reputation' across the entire board. With this you are rewarding users who are helpful in their respected forums that they frequent, without having to give them mod powers or anything to show your appreciation to their efforts in keeping the forum active, mature and appropriate. Dealing out the points/reps/votes for each system could be handed out in small increments and each 'level' of the system wouldn't be a 'light' reward to gain. Meaning if twenty people give you 1 point each, and the max they can give is 2 points every 3 days, you're still not going to look totally epic in just the first week. It should take time to accumulate. If it takes a longer period of time, it won't go to people's heads as much.
  23. I like all of the trolls/self-righteous members in Off-Topic. It makes some great entertainment in the evening. But that has always been a problem. Moderating it is a subjective art.
  24. They should have much more spread at longer distances, and the damage should be reduced significantly past 35 metres. Also if they have them out, they should not be able to freaking sprint as fast as they can or jump as annoyingly as they can with them. Rage. Topic about the M60: http://forum.ea.com/...ist/466070.page
  25. Wii dominates the market in console sales. After its launch, it had a hard time against the PS2 and 360, but it pulled ahead and held the lead until January. February/March it has been loosing ground due to releases and the fact that almost everyone has a Wii these days. http://vgchartz.com/...3=All&weeks=400 <--PS3/Wii/360 http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=Wii&reg1=All&cons2=PS2&reg2=All&cons3=X360&reg3=All&weeks=400 <--Wii/PS2/360 http://en.wikipedia....nintendosales-7 <-- Sales Numbers http://en.wikipedia....Station_2#Sales <-- PS2 Sales The PS2 out-lived its life-span because of games, as in, games designed for the PS2 specifically were still being produced during the PS3's launch, and the terrible marketing of the PS3 with the price and the lack of triple A titles on it, that could be played on the PS2 anyways. The Wii, in my opinion, could surpass the PS2 in its sales ratio if Nintendo doesn't release a DS that has the capabilities to play Wii games or another handheld capable of such performance, or releasing their next console (which isn't going to happen till 2012 or later in my opinion). Nintendo has to keep pulling casual gamers out of the casual gaming market or the Wii will die quickly. The most played game on the Wii is SSBB, by a crapload. Every other game has peaked and is dwindling in comparison to 360/PS3 games that far surpass the time played for SSBB. The Wii continues to stay alive because it is a party game, as in, it is replacing board games at parties or reunions. So Nintendo has put themselves in a pickle here by forcing themselves to continue to appeal to the casual audience. This doesn't mean they are being forced to ignore the hardcore audience, but they definitely aren't going to spend as much resources as they have before on such games. This is why, if Nintendo were to release a handheld device that directly competed against phones, consoles and PCs, they would pull far ahead of the current competition and be able to appeal to both casual gamers, mobile gamers and the hardcore audience. This is just my speculation but it is logical to take this route. The competitor that Nintendo would have is OnLive, if that ever gains popularity through advertising. OnLive works and is the future of playing your games. Microsoft and Sony though are going to be too busy trying to fiddle with their motion sensors to even realize what is going on. Like GOD. Also the PS3 was below the 360 but the price cuts through-out this year have significantly increased its sales, thus it has surpassed the 360 in some months. The 360 is still ahead though. The PS3 has had surges where certain months have yielded higher sales for the PS3, but have quickly dwindled back down to normal while the 306 has remained consistent. DS is just mobbing the floor with all three consoles though.
