  1. prayer i found works better. Also DONT use fire Blast (complete waste of money), use fire bolts on chaos gaunts instead, only does 1 less damage for half the price
  2. Higher Mage defence bonus against Ahrim.
  3. I dont bank every run, i bank every 2-3 runs so i dont have to bank everytime i loot a chest
  4. Yay!!! I am in the one where 'Veld said OMG PJer's!! I am the one with Verac's set, climbing boots and Lava Cape :D
  5. In fact Food is pretty useless in the caves, they rarely last long enough. Sara brews are far superior, because it is also a super def, though it incurs penalty to other combat skills (hence why the super restores, also restores 1 more prayer than p pots, so)
  6. Excuse me? Barrows are expensive? In fact, barrows will ONLY becomes more expensive than Full Dragon after you get 99 in all of the 3 melee combat skills. Barrows is definitely the armor to wear, and if you are training, dont use d square. If you dont like spending a few hours in the warrior guild, obby shield is ok, but Rune Defender is far superior.
  7. for me i recommend carrying an antifire if for anyreason you need to get near the blue. Once you go to a safe spot, change to zammy book and range him.
  8. NVM what i wrote. It should have Plenty of Super restores (like 18, 4 sara brews, 2 c bows, black d hide top and bottom, 2 ranging pots)
  9. I dont recommend Slayer Dart unless your mage is at least 70. Otherwise its advatage over Fire Bolt and Chaos Gaunts is negated completely by its cost.
  10. For the record, Werewolves in fables only turn when there is a full moon, hence different night life.
  11. Cow Hide queen?! Wow, never thought cows wanted revenge on us :P Great Story leesters, I am starting to wanting to ditch barrows and do Daggy king trips lol.
  12. It is indeed rather unfortunate that in something as Runescape, people tend to 'abuse' those who help other people (such as in the case of me, I make a friend, give them some stuff willingly, but then comes back and keeps asking me for free stuff -_-), because they see it as one way to gain wealth. They may not do it in real life, because they either don't or they can't because people is more alert with practical things rather than cyber things. Therefore it is rather unfortunate that when you help people through a wire, it will backfire. However there are still those who have appreciated help, and will still do their own thing, but knowing that you have made it so it is that much easier. It will pay off in the long run. This is more of the case in Real Life. Helping other people have a MUCH stronger impact than in game (let it be material, emotional or psychological help), because those are the ones that would change their lives. In that case if they receive help, they will DEFINITELY appreciate any help (unless they are really using, in which case you need not to care about them anylonger). Lastly, you are certainly right in putting the word success in quotation marks. 'Success' is a grey word, and it changes from one person to another. To most people, 'Success' would be getting rich (much like in RS) or famous, but there are other ways in which 'success' can show itself. You just have to find what form of this 'success' you are content with the most (i don't care about money, I wouldn't mind working for money, and have a bit extra myself, but its not for this 'success', it is just so that living would be easier). About the Wise Old Man, his actions cannot be justified (because it hurts a lot of people), though the motive behind it is understandable. It is a great pity that people nowadays work for themselves and show lack of appreciation to any help they receive. If I was the Wise Old Man, i would feel the same as him, but would I do what he did? That is open to debate.
  13. How could i FORGET the gloves?! Make sure you try and do as much of the quest Recipe for Disaster as possible, preferably complete it. These would allow you to access Rune and Barrow gloves (not actually called rune and barrow gloves, but their colour matches the armor) Rune Gloves are cheap (around 9k), and beats klank's gaunts to death (+8 to all melee attack and def bonus, +8 range attack and def, +4 mage attack and def, and +8 strength), accessible after you save 7 of the council members, Barrow Gloves are the ultimate gloves (130k), and only accessible after the completion of Recipe for Disaster. +12 to all melee attack and def, +12 ranged attack and def, +6 mage attack and def and +12 stregth. Absolutely THE best gloves (the only gloves that can even hope to compare it is Black D hide vamps, because it has +1 magic defence over barrow gloves, otherwise all other stats are superior by at least 4). All of the Recipe gloves are non-tradable. I mentioned rune gloves because it is the best value for money for stats, while Barrow gloves are by far the best gloves.
  14. get Whip AND d Scimmy, scimmy is cheap compared to Whip, 80-90k should get you there.
  15. 25 times here :D, that entire Island hates me (the agility course and the monkeys, I burnt my first snake there too :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: )
  16. I meant literal :P I havent had a single Skirt drop yet, and all other parts i have gotten at least 2 of....
  17. And dont bother with your Melee Stats for the moment, they wont be much of a use in barrows. 43 prayer is a MUST, higher being advantage and economic.
  18. Any monster that drop herbs can drop marrentills. There is no spawn point as far as i know, but these guys are good herb droppers: 1. Men/Women (low level, good training too if you are low on combat, Edgeville being best place) 2. Al Kharid Warriors (Pretty low level, close to bank, auto attacks if you attack anybody so you dont have to run anywhere, and they drop good heap of herbs) 3. Chaos Druids (popular, but far from bank, taverly dungeon being best place, or chaos druid tower near ardougne if you have 48 thieving) 4. Flesh Crawlers (stronghold of security level 2, IMO the best herb dropper out there, close to bank and drop good stuff like fire and nature runes often, and a lot of high level herbs too) I would suggest Al Kharid warrior if your herblore is low, and move on to the Flesh Crawlers when you can identify say... Ranarrs or something. Good luck.
  19. You only have to start Nature Spirit to access it, though i think you need to complete it to use the short cuts (like in Search of Myreque)
  20. That remids me, you could actually try barrowing for money and the parts if you want to. I barrowed 3 out of 4 of my Guthan's set :D (he still yet have to drop his pant for me :P)
  21. Too risky on dharok, i wouldnt recommend it, even if you have ancients (unless you REALLY know what you are doing with ancients)
  22. north east corner of west ardy.
