The issue with prayer bonus is that on much of the tasks (if not all), the length of your stay is not limited by your prayer potions you are carrying, but rather slayer monster count (or, if you bank dragons, your loot), which basically makes fury's prayer bonus kind of moot. Not to mention that Prayer potions costs pennies these days (especially renewal). So it's not a bad idea to keep your dps as high as possible. 2. I think the opposite is more true (IE maging everything instead), people have been advocating barraging everything that is remotely close together, regardless of weakness.

I suggest getting the Claw(s) or the Maul. The off hand claw can wait until they nerf EE. The cost of the Dragon claws needed to make them is almost negligible, and you actually save money if you use just cash to repair your chaotics, since claws are made at 100% durability, rather than 20% for CLS/CR. You get to use Chaotic Claw a lot earlier than you would if you went for Rapier or Long, since the mainhand only costs 100k tokens. Dual Claws also comes out slightly on top of Maul in DPS, but Maul has 33% less upkeep cost than Dual Claws (which you may or may not care about).

The only argument I can come up with that can lead to not using a merchant is in the case where using Merchant will not decrease the number of voyages required for your goal. For example. You are 10 chi away from making your last Seasinger piece, you have two 5x chi voyages available, if obtaining your seasinger was a top priority, then it is a good idea to not include merchants on these voyages. However, if the chi required was say 11... Then it's clear cut.

Yes, but the main thing is that a jade merchant does not jeopardise the voyage enough to make it not worth putting him on a voyage. Losing 20% (even relative) success chance is only possible if your crew was not either full to begin with, or there is something wrong with your crew/ship parts setup. I have never seen that drastic drop in my entire pop career.

20%? even by using relative numbers instead of absolute, I have never seen success chance drop more than 10% of its original success chance without one. Heck, even removing a crew member entirely doesn't drop that far.

Rune crossbow can't fire Emerald Bolts (E), Ruby Bolts, Diamond bolts, Dragonstone Bolts or Onyx bolt (all of the latter include enchanted and non-enchanted). Dragon Crossbow can fire Emerald Bolts E and Ruby Bolts E. Chaotic Crossbow and Royal Crossbow can fire every metal bolt, as well as Royal Bolts. Black Salamander, Hand Cannon, Karil's 2h, Main hand and off hand crossbows all have their own exclusive ammos. In short, Rune crossbow is trash now, and arguably Armadyl Crossbow too, since it has no off hand counterpart. If you are looking for a decent crossbow, Hand cannon is a good choice. Chaotic Crossbow is only good if you have both the mainhand and off hand, and if you fancy QBD, Royal crossbow is also excellent for its price.
