About thieving, I started with a woman in Lumby and got a diamond right away! Gosh I must have been bloody lucky, I never had a diamond again since that time and it was about 5 month ago.
  2. Sure it's disappointing to be so close and to fail... :( Just keep on trying dude, your strategy will only improve! :) Best of luck to you.
  3. I believe a glory, dlong and rune kite are attractive enough for noob pkers.  I have a few hundred weed in bank I used to collect to make compost from the time I was a newbie farmer, and my buckets are all used for making super compost plus they are way to heavy to carry, so I'll stick on dropping weed... PS: Weed is not for smoking! Pot is.
  4. Very well done, you must feel proud Tip It will use your map (and hopefully monster stats and drops). Congratz! Why to remove the monster dots? I do find it usefull to have an idea of where to look for the mole after it's been digging away. I'll be hunting the big mole for bird nests when I would have raised up my herblore to 81. In the meanwhile (it should take quiet a long time, lol) I'll stick with mossies, ogres and woodcutting to get my seeds.

The one who bought me two low level lanterns for 10k was probably on his way to kill the new giant mole and knowing all the running involved to equip those lanterns with candle and oil I would not call him an idiot.  The cristal key trade could be more called "idiotic" but the chat prior to this deal was very nice and friendly so I guess the guy really wanted to please me. I said "WOW!" and did thank him warmly before he teleported away. PS: I am more likely to offer a pretty good deal to newbies trading with me because I dislike to take advantage of new comers and I know that they are often a target for scammers. To offer them 500 gp or 1k for a chef hat (to enter the cooking guild), a bronze spear (to make scarecrows) or air tally (to make some use of the few hundred tiaras sitting in my bank) makes quiet a balance and is not a bad deal for me as slaying goblins is not my cup of tea anymore. EDIT: I forgot to mention I sold pirate boots for 5k not long after the new pirate island quest was out. They were given to me by a player mod cleaning out his bank. :D EDIT 2: I must say I was never the guy demanding crazy amount of gp for cheap items. It happened that the offer was just a lot more than one could expect, and I simply accepted the trade, or was quick enough to be the first lucky one to trade with the guy screaming "Buying spade 5k" in a crowded bank.
  6. Many thanks for testing this out Craven! :D Tip It team should include this in the Thieving skill guide.
  7. I love to be exploring the wildy with just three items, like glory, dragon long and rune kite and full invent of weed, running around and screaming like crazy "Peace, peace!!" untill someone pk me. :D

When I got bored I enjoy to be sitting in busy banks, waiting for a good deal to show up or just to sell my spare laws 1k each and I do have quiet a few stories of pretty good deals: Once a guy offered 5K in Ardougne south bank for a spade. The funniest of all is that the farming shop which sell spades was just north of Arddy. The buyer must have been on a treasure trail or something and teleported right away so I did not feel bad about trading with him... One other time I was offering to collect-trade random junk seeds from people raising up their thieving in Draynor's market place. A rather high level guy was thanking me all the time for helping him to not drop his seeds. Eventually I was about to leave when he raised up one level. I did congrat him and he must have just had achieved his goal or something because he said "thank you so much for helping me out!!!" and he gave me all his high level herb seeds, including 5 ranarr, and made my day! 8) Best deal ever was when this guy kept on following me to get this ring of duelling he was craving for. We had a pleasant chat on the way to the bank and he traded me one cristal key (and quiet a few other random less valuable items) for a ring of duelling. Unfortunately I was so excited that I did not think of taking a screenshot of this trade. We were both very happy and it was awesome dudes! Yesterday a guy was in need of a lantern. I offered him both candle lantern and oil lantern thinking he would pick up one of the two for about 1k. He offered a little over 10k in cash and I accepted, lol! None of those players were newbies. The last one was pretty high level and looking wealthy so I presume they all must have been very much in need of those items or just feeling generous. I never felt bad about those trades, but rather pretty lucky. :P
  9. Probably not the best MMORPG ever, but the only one I have ever tried because my old pc can't take any other top rated games... I was hooked right away and paid for membership as soon as my bank get filled up, lol! I don't interact very much with other players except for trading but since I have reached a decent combat lvl I'm thinking to join some clan. I have met a few nice mates though and I do enjoy chatting with them while doing some dull training. A few things I appreciate above all: it's unexpensive, there is no installation, I can play from any remote computer, even with a [cabbage]ty dial up connection, and there is always something to be busy with. Constant updating is also a very good point. Congratz to Andrew and co!

If you are not into leather just mine (or steal) silver and craft it into tiaras. Gives 50 xp each.
  11. I started to play in mid october 2005 and became a member by the end of november mainly because my bank was always full. With all those new member's items sitting in my bank (I do herblore and farming) I'm still having a hard time keeping more than a few free spots in my bank, lol!
  12. I made my first million selling thousands of water filled vials to some rich herblorists. It's quiet a good profit, but it doesn't raise any skill. Nowadays I run a quiet large herblore shop, selling the low and middle level herbs I don't use and all kind of second ingredients from eyes of newt to crushed bird nests. If my shop was not running out of stock so fast I could easily make 100 or 200k each day. I usually collect loads of stuff while playing to refill my stock every month, then I advertize on some large and wellknown forums to sell it all in one or two go. In the meantime I do clue scroll after clue scroll in the hope to find something of value to sell (I do only lvl2 scroll at my level). I also grow ranarr weed and I do make quiet a lot of cash from pray pots selling. I think I'm going to start merchanting ores so I can get a santa and a whip. :D I'll keep my herblore shop running because I have a good time helping people to raise up this difficult skill. I made a few good friends that way and that is the best part of my little business. :)
  13. There was a lucky guy who had both rune plate and glory ammy! Someone dropped trimmed addy plate. I dropped 10k, 10 bronze boots, 10 addy javelins, 2 addy maces, loads of middle and high level seeds, compost, food, pots, big bones, etc... I had 1 blood, 3 ess, 2 rotten tomatoes, some weed and 9 potatoes, lol! Thank you razza, that was fun. 8)
  14. I will come as well. Should be at 10 PM Paris time (France) if I'm not mistaken. I'll bring 20k in cash plus about the same amount of money in various items. It's going to be my first real drop party, all previous ones was scam attempts or junk dropping party. I hope we gonna have a good time. Happy birthday to you dude! :D
  15. What would be fun to me would be to be able to mix up two or or more different kinds of pots to end up with some various new (random like?) results. Exemples: [*:1ewbv7t9]1 dose of fishing pot and 3 doses of strength pot = 1 fishing explosive! [*:1ewbv7t9]2 doses of pray pot + 1 dose of super antipoison + 1 dose of super stat restore = plus one prayer point and cure poison (but no immunity). [*:1ewbv7t9]3 doses of super restore + 1 dose of super energy = 25% energy restore plus one point of Agility. Think of all the possibilities! :D
  16. Indeed, you and KillerBob gave the best approximation in this thread! :) Bravo les amis! :D
  17. I went fishing with a BIG net in Catherby, hoping to catch loads of bass and plenty caskets full of gold and gems, lol! Then I started the Fishing Contest to be able to take the shortcut under White Wolf Mountain. Afterthen I went training agility non-stop in Gnome Stronghold untill I could reach level 35. Then I went travelling all around runescape to complete the Bar Crawler miniquest required to enter the Barbarian agility training camp.
  18. Congratulations to both of you, your prononciation is quiet close to the French way! :) But, because it has a a few sounds that actually doesn't exist in English, I'm afraid you can't prononce that name in the exact way a French man would prononce it... Unless you've been taught french of course! Being French myself, I'll try to give you some hints: AR is similar to the German "Ach", with a strong R coming from the back of your throat like in "Paris". DOU is similar to "doo" but much shorter (speak it fast or just say "doe"). GNE has no equivalent in English. It's a kind of mix of the begining of "new" and and the end of "nya-huh" (the "e" at the end of a french word is almost silent). So the way I prononce it is something like "ARH-DOE-NYA-HUH" PS: Yanille is simply prononced "YA-NEEL" in French.
  19. I remember right after the tutorial island I was totally confused about the directions and I had lost my way in lumby while playing with the camera, so I was asking everyone around for my way back to "the castle" but could not give them a clue of what castle it was... What a dumb noob I was, lol! Later on I discovered I could earn "big" money by killing chickens and selling the feathers to the fisherman's shop nearby (in Port Sarim). I said to myself "Wow, I have found a way to make gold out of chickens" and I was very happy with that so I kept slaying chickens for a few hours untill I had enough cash to buy me a decent armour. The next day I went back to lumby and made friend with a nice fellow who agreed to sell me full iron armour (or steel, I'm not quiet sure) for my hard earned cash, so he took me all the way to Varrock to smith it and I felt it was such an adventurous trip to follow him because I did not know about right clicking on people to follow them. Once I had my brand new shiny armour I had to face a big disapointment when I discovered I was unable to wield it because I did not train my defence while slaying chickens. *blush*
  20. Try to download it again, it works fine with me. Very impressive job guys! At your level, with attk and str pots boost, it looks like a peace of cake, lol.
  21. Baroque (playing around Ardougne south bank) because it always brings back the good feeling of my first day as a member. :)
