Yeah, i THINK steel plates would be best, that's what i did at your level for the most part. (Switching to cannonballs simply to make some cash) Let me check on the profitability. I'll post back in a sec if no-ones else answers that. You going o buy from ores or bars to make them?
-
I used the duel ring method on fire runes to get to 50, found it quicker than trecking to abyss, but perhaps that's just me. Could be wrong on that count, but i definitly prefer it that way.
-
Last time i did cannonballs, it was still making money, but it's so massively slow it's really not worth it if you don't mind losing a bit of cash. Best thing if money's no real object is to make the best platebodies you can. Might want to check that for xp wise, but think it's a fair bit quicker. Otherwise, high level smithers that I know have told me to simply make the highest level item you can.

Above poster, you have so massively failed on maths and english, I'm surprised you can even type. Anything divided by 0 is undefined as you have already been told, so stop trying to argue to the contrary. Second off, retort is a "sharp of witty come-back" more or less the definition by the OED. So stop going off topic and trying to be intelligent, it's clearly not working... Right, apologies about that. On topic, i would like to point out that it is true that it is only in the wilderness that you get such a large increase in XP, so find something out there.

F2P Unable To Retrieve Broomsticks... *Jagex fixed it!*
Kickthat replied to Pinkbullet3's topic in Help and Advice
There have been several similar threads from other F2Pers who have said the same thing. Apparently it has not been made clear, but it would seem that you cannot retrieve your brooms :( Also, the quote from Jagex; "Diango is not a purveyor in magical broomsticks I am afraid" would, to me, be further proof that it cannot be reclaimed - at least not from him. -
I know a few very successful pkers that use tanks. I'm intending to do the same with my main now. Leaving att and str at 70 and 71, getting defence up, along with range, mage and HP.
-
Ta, as everyone so far has suggested fire giants, i shall give that a go. :)
-
I've got 61 range, and don't really like training it, but want to get to 70. What would people suggest the best way is and what equipment should I use?
-
More often than no, it's merely overcompensating for a complete lack of knowledge or sense.

It is unfortunate that your playing of the game is being ruined by the idiots that are out there. Unfortunatly that is part of playing the game. For the most part, people on these forums will give you help and advice in that forum, if you ask for it. Keep your spirits up, there will be some players out there who won't mind helping.

Some achievement capes not that "special" anymore.
Kickthat replied to Lap's topic in General Discussion
I'd love a 99, but I don't really want to get cooking, fletching or firemaking. Thats not because I don't think it's an achievement, because I do. But I'd personally rather spend more time getting a 99 (and a cape) thats a bit rarer. -
Personally I can't see the problem. I'd like to think members would be more concerned about doing a new quest than ranting and whining about how f2p's can do it to.

Ice warriors and giants? Think I got a fair few from them if i recall correctly.

What are your views on a Runescape Girlfriend/Boyfriend?
Kickthat replied to Knitewulf's topic in General Discussion
Not at all. You are using the forum in the best possible way and encouraging debate, which i welcome. You raise some very good points. However, I would still always say that, for me anyway, a romantic relationship would have to lead somewhere. Admittedly many people concerned are teenagers and perhaps for them it seems nice to have someone to talk to online etc. But I think really i'm taking this from a more adult perspective and would say that surely you wouldn't intentionally enter into a relationship that you knew would never lead to anything. In suggesting this, I am saying that if you never intend to meet that person, then what's the point of having it as a relationship? And if you do intend to, then that goes back to my argument of how do you really know who that person is? Understandably, I may be looking into this too much, but i picked up on the use of the word "love" in the OP, and my point is that perhaps this was too strong a word to use with regards to an online relationship that was only meant for a bit of fun and company, to stay online. If it is because the OP actually feels that strongly, then can you really know that you love a person if you have only ever communicated with them online? -
How long before inactive accounts get deleted??
Kickthat replied to Triquos's topic in Help and Advice
I could be wrong, but think they may delete inactive accounts after a lengthy period of time, if that account is not in the highscores. If you have a high level account, then i wouldn't worry too much. Chances of it being deleted are very very low. -
Definitly quicker with granite. You're right in pointing out that iron comes without the occasional hiccups, but granite usually one or two strikes aswel, and better xp on average.

With gloves in PVP worlds, you get a 50% bonus for exp. In the wilderness, on PVP worlds, with gloves you get even more bonus, not sure of the exact amount.

... Lol? And your avatar is ugly. I'm just saying. Any random website can make you agree to a bunch of terms. The terms could say practically anything. "If you click I agree, you must give me your house, all your money, and become my slave forever." If you click agree, do you really think you are bound to do it? Nope. Legally, it's a gray zone wether your virtual possesions are owned by you or by Jagex. In the game, Jagex has authority and can ban you for going against their terms. But in the law, as long as what you're is legal, you're bound to jack [cabbage] to what the terms say as their just arbritary stuff Jagex made-up, and obviously Jagex is not the word of law. I'm sick of you stupid people, it's not hard to understand. WRONG! The only reason that you are not legally bound is because the content is only specific to the game. Effectively this is a list of laws for your actions in the game, and the punishment for breaking the rules? Being banned. You actually do not make any point other than to say that the terms/rules are not law. Which essentially is pointing out the obvious - well done. The person who you quoted was correct. If this was real life, you'd have broken laws and you would be punished with jail. He's saying the laws of the game correlate with rules for real life. Both have punishements or breaking these laws.

What are your views on a Runescape Girlfriend/Boyfriend?
Kickthat replied to Knitewulf's topic in General Discussion
I think the dating being spoken about at the beginning of the topic was strictly online... I think most people here would agree with you in saying that you never really know who a person is that you've only met online. But I wouldn't go as far as to think that all of my friends online are serial killers :x. I would have no problem with meeting any of them in real life (Just my thoughts). But as far as "dating" someone online in RuneScape (always skilling with them, hanging out in your PoH together, going on dragon hunts, etc.) and having a relationship strictly in-game... how do you feel about that? Yeah, I understand that the dating being referred to was online. However, taking that as an argument, I would say that it is not really a relationship if it stays online. I was assuming that as the OP commented that he "loved" his online gf, presumably the suggestion was that it would move from purely being online Secondly, I was certainly in no way suggesting that I assume everyone I meet online, to be a serial killer or 60 year old bloke. However, you have to accept that there are people out there that pretend to be somebody that they are not, for perverse purposes. It's a horrible thing to consider - but it happens. I have good friendships online as i say, but would still urge people - particularly younger children, or teenagers to careful if they felt that they wanted to meet their online friends. Perhaps talk it through with parents or take friends with you. Back to the thought of relationships, you can be sure that you have one thing in common if you are both playing the game, but simply talking online cannot constitute a loving, caring and most importantly - grown up, relationship. Speaking as someone who is in a rl relationship, as of course many people are, i know full well that i couldn't have got the same out of an online relationship. -
You miss the point though. why do we need rights to play a game? Half the rights that you've pointed out are in place anyway as part of general life. A bill of rights is not simply a statement of what we can already do, it has to be something that goes deeper and actually be something worthwhile. Jagex would not NEED to sign this, because there is nothing legally implied within it. Most of your points are simply statements of fact. How exactly do you expect Jagex to respect your right to "be respected and not be judged" etc, when they already have a report system in place to ensure this? This debate is pure waffle.

Again, you are not accepting this from the point of view of those who like to raise skills. I am certainly not against a re-vamp for skills such as smithing, or any other skill for that matter, but is the goal of this game (at least for a great many) not to get your total level, and skill levels up?
-
Any updates that give more items for f2p should be followed by an additional bank space or two for f2p. If 60 was acceptable before fog etc, then the bak space should raise afterwards. I am a member, but agree that it can be frustrating for those people in f2p who are higher levels and involved in clans to find space for items that they may need to have. They may not pay to play, but in allowing f2p to exist, Jagex has conceded that that is acceptable, and they should give small allowances. If they add more items to f2p, they should allow people to store those items. It's only fair.

Looking at everyone's arguements, I think it would be safe to say that there's very few skillers posting on this topic. My point would be that it is an achievement to achieve a high level in a skill that very few people want to train. Everyone here seems to be looking at skills as useful or not, depending on how much cash you can earn from them, i eould suggest the opposite. Can anyone say they wouldn't have some resepect for somebody who had got to 99 smithing, when taking into account how much it costs?! I know I would. I have spent a fair amount getting my crafting up for example and when i have cash knocking around, i like to continue to train that - same for firemaking, does that mean it's useless? Well it's lost me money, but i'd say it was worth it. If you play the game to have tons of cash and the best items, then maybe you don't want to spend a fortune on such skills. But if you're playing to raise your total as high as possible, or to get capes, etc, then these skills are useful, particularly if they are ones that many people don't want/like to train. Basically, they're only useless as long as you don't want to use them, ot train them.

Thats really not true. I NEVER experience lag, so I highly doubt that it's Jagex servers that are lagging. It will be your computer and your processor etc.
-
Be fair. Admittedly it's a rant about being banned/muted etc, but with an point - I.E, making a criticism about the customer service. The fact that many of us disagree with these comments is fair enough. At the end of it though everyone's entitled to their opinion. I personally have made my views clear; that Jagex do what they can and that rules are NOT there to be broken. However, others clearly have a different view and feel that they are unfairly treated by jagex. Note that most of these people are ones who have been 'punished' or have had black marks. I may feel differently had i been 'unfairly' punished, but i have never put myself in the position to be reported for any offence, as I try to play the game in a calm and pleasant manner.
