  1. Apparently the hammer is quite good.
  2. To posts in response to mine above. That's fair enough, I may be wrong about the sacred clay tool. It may not be quick but it DOES give bonuses. And for me, I mine granite one or two hits pretty much every time so it really wouldn't make a difference - i'd give it a go and see. (And btw, needle may/may not give bonuses, but it's no slower)
  3. Personally I find willows far too slow. If you can afford and are happy to buy maples, that really is the best way to go.
  4. Dharoks legs also beats Dragon Legs, yet people still buy dragon. That I really don't understand. Dharoks is cheaper aswel :S
  5. Buy green d-leather from G.E and make green dragonhide vambraces.
  6. Yep, powermining granite, without a doubt. I shall be getting the sacred clay tool to use as well, although you may want to weigh up wether it'll be worth taking the time to get it again after it's used up. Personally I like the break that it provides to get another.
  7. Lol. Yeah, if everything buys at market price including bars when you sell them, then you get approx 50gp per bar profit. Not a bad earner.
  8. i've just checked prices on G.E if everything buys and sells for market price, you WILL make a small profit per bar.
  9. You MUST know thats against the rules.
  10. Oh right, I follow you. Yeah it sounds a good idea. Im not too sure of the stats but you might be right. Still not sure that it will last indefinitly though as the tool doesn't :S
  11. It's an armour in itself. You can't change it into armour that already exists, just between its own melee, range and mage styles. Not sure it would last forever if you don't change it, cause the tool expires even if it doesn't change, if you're using it enough.
  12. Is the lottery worth doing? Essentially the same thing. I do my clues because I like the chance and hope that I will get something decent.
  13. Can I also suggest getting sacred clay tool. I've been training crafting up from 70-72 over the last few hours with the sacred clay needle and it does make a fair bit of difference - 10% bonus i think? Or its a little more xp at least.
  14. Fight Caves has a few gold and silver rocks right close to the bank down there. Great place to mine gold, and hardly anyone uses it.
  15. Other than cannonballs, I think you'll make a loss whatever you make, unless you mine some or all of the ores yourself.
  16. Lol, yeah but it's all about different ways of playing the game. I like to get skills up, even if it may cost me a fair bit. That's what i play for. You obviously play to get cash - thats what you find fun. Different perceptions my friend ;) I agree with the post a few above, go for the mining option :P
  17. My input on the debate currently going on between the two of you: Maturity has nothing to do with it in my opinion, but knowledge does. Maturity of any "type" as compfreak847 says will not really be affected by playing the game. In my opinion, that will come with age. However, with regards to your example, I think that it is much better to play as F2P first, as you steadily build up a knowledge of the game. To simply join members thrusts you into a game in which there are a massive range of choices, equipment and things to do. At least in F2p you are restricted and can take it slowly. This is why new members can seem like noobs - they suddenly have a vast amount of things to discover and as a result always seem to know nothing - at least to those who have been members for a long time.
  18. At the end of the day, no-one can criticise me on my account. I'm perfectly happy with how it is and couldn't change it. If people want to take their account a different way, then that's up to them - and i'll ignore anyone who tries to tell me how to play the game.
  19. For me it's a lot about the skills. I love getting a skill level, especially if it's a high level. :) To me, thats what makes the game fun. I don't hardcore skill constantly to get max xp per hour or anything, but i spend very little time standing around doing nothing.
  20. Leave him alone; he did say AT 60. Anyway go by Dwarven mines until 59; go to the Falador Pub and buy a dwarven stout, walk over to the guild, drink it and hop in! I think theres about 20+ coal in there, not 10+ Good idea with the Dwarven Stout, I hadn't thought about that - it'd more than pay off. May be up to 20, didn't think it was that many myself, but then i tend to use the guild now for coal. :P EDIT: and he may have said AT 60, but still doesn't help the guy when he wants to know what to do at 48.
  21. To the best of my knowledge, Woodcutting still one of the best ways to make cash f2p. Other thing i used to do was mine all ores for making steel plates, and then alch. Maybe switch around between what people have suggested and see if you like something more, or just keep switching for variety. :)
  22. What part of level 48 mining don't you understand? Anyway, I think your only other choices are Crandor or the Drawven Mines or Al-Karhid Personally I've never used Crandor or Al-kharid for coal. I still say dwarf mines all the way.
  23. Yeah, but as he's 48 that doesn't help him atm. Only thing i could really suggest is dwarf mines in fally - but not the guild. theres maybe 10+ coal rocks scattered around in there? Still fairly close to bank until you get 60. Above poster says al- kharid, but in my opinion thats a little bit further from bank than dwarf mines.
  24. Just to the east of Ardougne is a little mining area with coal and iron, it's quite close to ardy bank too. I use that a fair bit - Good until 60 mining at least when you can use guild
  25. My maths could be a little wrong here, but don't think it is. 5 x 95 = 475 (iron for 1 plate body) 10 x 171 = 1710 (coal for 1 plate body) = 2185 If you take into account pure essence for making your own nats = 155 = 2340 2340 - 1200 (high alch value) = 1140 loss. You will make a loss unless you mine ores yourself, but if cash is no real option, this will be a lot quicker than cannonballs. Otherwise, I would recommend switching between the two like i did.
