Mages have special effects, such as lowering stats, what melee and range can only do in one situation (d axe and seercull). Mages can lower prayer (oh wait, Crossbows have the saphire enchanted bolts, but they dont work that well, i got 2 prayer off a lvl 60 in castlewars, with him using an entire invy of bandies) They can lower mage lvl, Which goes along with the seercull and axe They can lower melee stats (enfeeble, stun, and the other one O.o) They can also lower defense with claws of guthix You can poison (which melee and range can do) And finally, you can heal (which melee can do, and with onyx bolts, range can as well) The only lunar spell thats significant is vengance (to pking anyway) and between higher level pking (like 120+) that spell can make a very nice KO. But your stuck meleeing or ranging in this situation, so your spec doesnt matter XD Mages get kills all the time anyway, they dont need a spec.

Ive been betrayed once, for a dragon chain, mud staff, and whip (all together, 30 mil at the time) But im over it. Theres been times where i could have been betrayed, and betray others. but i dont, because i dont want to make anyones life a pain like they have done me.

Arhims has some small melee def, it only has +0 range def. On topic, Ancients has never been overpowered, they simply have been mages "whips", Allow me to explain. Melee trumphs range, so their best weapon is +82 slash and Strength, so it plays on their preys (just using prey to refer to rangers) weakness, slash defense. So not only does melee have awsome range defense, but also a weapon that really hurts their target. Best defense and offence. Now, Mages trumph melee (aside from hides). So their "specialty weapon" is a spell that not only does big damage, but also freezes them. So in theory, mages dont even need defense, because their prey, will never get to them. Finally, Rangers trumph Mages. With the release of the new prayers, Range has been made a formitable force. I'm not saying, go pking with Range if your lvl 70, youll be rich! But, hell, have you seen glowing mage's new video. For those of you who dont know, He is hiei the pk's main, who is a brilliant tank ranger, and now, with the new prayers, he proves range is equal. Now on topic, range does trumph mages. They not only shoot Very rapid (on rapid that is), Even faster than a whip, dagger, and scimmy (fastest for melee). And their armor makes it DIFFICULT for mages to hit them. Ok, one last argument. For those of you who say "if your paying 2k a shot, you expect results" or anything along those lines. Say if a Lunar spell was made, takes 100 bloods (60k per bulk price) 100 deaths (30k bulk price) and 100 chaos (13.5k bulk price) Thats a 103.5k shot, and say it was a perfect recoil that lasted for 5 minutes. Over powered, but your spending about 100k per 5 minutes! Your argument wouldnt stand up here, and to me, it doesnt stand up on ancients. My 2 cents :)

Mime boots in My ranging gear, with black dragonhide it looks awsome. Also, At barrows and such, i wear white boots, not like they have much of an effect, i just do :$ Lunar cape is pretty awsome as well.

to my knowledge, I can tell you...it would be hard. you would have to go in, mage protecting, melee supreme to death, then kill rex, then kill prime. this is assuming rex does not jump you while your on supreme. its possible for sure, in fact i think odfaery2 has done it.

Got bored waiting for some people to do a few one on ones in fight pits, so started alching. Went to kill off the last person and *poof* my whips gone :( No big loss though, i just banked 2.9 mil a few rounds before (how much they were then)

I just recently did the quest, and i got in order, 104, 110, 97. Thats with 198, 200 quest points (i think O.o)

2 weeks, 10 chests a day, Missing 3 days, Means a 100-110 dry streak, from guthans plate (115th item) to my veracs skirt (116), of course shortly after (3 chests :)) i got a flail and guthans skirt, so im not complaining :)

I usually get a 20-25 kc, unless im low on food, i tend to get 200-500 chaos every other trip, 100-300 deaths on a 2:3 trip ratio, and bloods 41-81 every trip on a 4:5 ratio. Barrows items are really random with me, sometimes ill get 5 in 10 chests, sometimes ill get 1 in 30 chests. With a under 10 kc, i usually get 100ish chaos, 50ish deaths, 500ish minds, and sometimes a small ammount (21, give or take) of blood and racks.

I just got 21 racks with a 7 kc :$

I used them when i first started barrowing :) but now i stick to my zammy book and rune kite.

In no way does it say that killing the monsters lower your chance, so i dont see why you just get the 6 kc. If you kill every monster that you spawn, it would not change the chance of getting an item unless you do not kill your 6th brother. 118 items now, and counting, still sticking to my 20 kc.

Don't worry, in the future we will be able to do that 8-) . Oh, and as for shutting those noobs up, Ice Cubes are your friend :P . When I ancient I take a crystal bow or Karils xbow with me so that I can freeze, run back and range and they never shut up about that because apparently you're supposed to mage and range within melee distance :o. Beat me to it, end all solution, barage :mrgreen: Or if they really tick me off, i call my buddies and next game they are stormed by 10 experienced castlewars vets.

Every now and then you can find a huge group, id go with them ranging. Thats how most people start off, range, then range+melee, then maging, then you get to the the place where rodyle and the others are. To lazy to post the pic, me and rodyle got a zerker like yesterday, or a day ago.

Is there a safe spot? mabey after the ice worriors are off you, If your f2p, Train on hill giants, bank bones or bury them for prayer exp.

Pay attention to simple things, like, what side of the portal do you appear on when you enter your house. I know one pet peev of mine is that when i enter my house, i have to run around my portal to the alter room, which in turn has a portal room leading from it, for fast barrows trips :) Another thing is try not to have everything on one floor, at higher con levels you can build things underground, and you can build on your 2nd story as well.

Some of them come with keyloggers, if you even bother to open it i would say your computers up for a scan.
