Yea, you only need the highest metal you've obtained so far. In other words, when you get steel, drop iron. When you get black, drop steel.... when you get rune, drop adamant.

You could alch. Or burst lobsters. Or super plank make. Or super glass make (I think that's what it's called).

Just buy them.. it would be wiser to make money with a skill such as runecrafting.

I was talking actual data on experience and gp per hour. Not relative rates such as "fire giants are better" or "dusties are ok." I thought I made that clear.. So in hindsight, does anyone have any data on gp per hour or experience per hour for common melee training?

For techniques available now, what are the best exp and gp rates per hour for combat? I'm not just asking for the absolute best, so just a few responses about AZs or Yaks or Ape Atoll, please. I'm wondering what a player with 80s melee stats might expect from a typical trip to some of the better monsters such as basilisks, dust devils, fire giants, etc.

Maybe tell us your criteria before you shoot down every idea because it doesn't fit what you want. :roll:

Probably.. he probably paid a bit more than the price of essence (pure essence wasn't around? I think) and got double nats off it. I don't know the prices of nats back then, nor the cost of essence running.. but I'm sure it was massive profit. He also hasn't gained a bit of experience in years.

Hm.. I can confirm that this is real. Also, the invisible NPC is on the head of the appreciator. Turning the camera at different angles reveals that it's not behind nor in front nor above the head.

Been a few thousand experience off of this level for a while. Not a major level. But so far I've gotten most of my levels without directly training magic. I had a brief stint where I high alched, maybe 10k alchs. But other than that it's all come from quests, Slayer, and teleporting around pretty much. [hide=][/hide]

Keep it on topic, I'm not going to argue with you. What about Larryr? He still holds the RC high score and has held it for a loooong time. He got over 150m experience before the abyss, through runners. That's quite a darn accomplishment in its own right, and I'd say its unique!

It's not really a single year. More like an Age, which can be hundreds of years. Yes but I thought there was one specific year we were in in the current age... I couldaswore I remember reading that.

Hm.. sign posts. If it's not a skill, maybe it's a combination of a few previous ideas, a la: friend finder on world map (they said this was coming). time (night and day) could be thrown in there, as well as the world map. actually implementing the calendar. I just don't see how a calendar would make sense because we're basically suspended in one year of time in RS history. Would it get to the end of the year and then start over at the beginning of that same year? Or would years not come into account? And what about seasons? Speculation machine. Offline messaging could be squeezed into friends list/ignore list/notes area.
