  1. You just have to get in the gates and talk to the dude in the building to get the map and machete. Then you can do the RfD part, which requires you to head in the jungle.
  2. Switch to the level 27 minotaurs in the SoS. They'll have more people there, but you'll probably break even on arrows (at least) and you'll have extra essence to sell or craft.
  3. You don't need to range from behind the fence if you're combat level 58.. and don't use Lumbridge as it's always crowded. Go to either the Crafting Guild cows (southwest of Falador) or the Falador cow pen (south east of Falador). Those are less crowded. Scorpions are good if you don't want any profit. You could also range the level 27 minotaurs in the SoS. You'll get extra iron arrows and pure essence, to use or to sell. I'd switch at about 25 or 30, as Gin_and_Tonic said.
  4. I don't think any item DB from a fan site will be complete to include all 15,000+ items.. I would suggest only automating the addition of alchable items, which you would have to enter the alch price by hand for each entry.. because- as far as I know- no item DB will have every single item. They will most likely contain every alchable item, but not in any way that is able to be systematically linked with the GE DB (other than matching name strings or some such).
  5. Post a link to your final design so we can check it out. Use the link we gave you and once you design your house, paste the long string of letters here. :D
  6. At 15,126? If you want it completely automated, you'll need to have it check for new items when RS is updated (you'll also need to find a way to check if RS is updated). I don't think there were any alchable items released since then. The GE DB only lists tradeable items, so things like the squad cards you get in MA aren't on the GE, but their item ID is still in effect past 15,126. Also, the High Alch price isn't listed in the GE DB. It is in the Tip.it Item DB. The only thing is that the Tip.It Item ID is not equivalent to the GE DB (official) item ID. In fact, the Amulet of Ranging is item ID 8799 in the Tip.It Item DB as opposed to 15,126. So I don't know how you're going to automate that.
  7. Both of them shouldn't take more than a day or two's work at a moderate pace. Steal from warriors in Ardougne first (take cakes from the cake stall to heal if you want). At 40, steal from guards until 50. Badaboom badabing. Keep at the Barbarian Outpost Agility course until 50. You'll be there in no time.
  8. Well the recently released Amulet of Ranging is item number 15,126 (item ID is listed in the URL). So probably 16,000 would be a good spot to stop now?
  9. In the spot you prescribed, with arrows to shoot those pesky rodents, I got 235 red chins in one hour at 70 Hunter with a +5 boost from the Spirit Larupia. That works out to 62,275 exp/hour and 176k gp/hour. :D Pretty good, right?
  10. He was looking for a closed design. I'm assuming he doesn't want his butler roaming out of the house while in construction mode, or doesn't want players roaming out of the house when invited in.
  11. Can't you just automate a PHP program to go through the Tip.It Item DB and grab the field for high alch? I guess it's just a number on the page and not a declared variable, but I'm sure there's a way to search for "high alch value: " that proceeds every item. Since each item is coded in by item ID, you could start your program at 0 and go all the way to X where X is the total number of entries. But you know that if you code every day. :ugeek:
  12. Now that's only one perspective. Who defines monetary gain as efficient? In regards to your topic, not everyone plays to be economically efficient. There's a Rate This! thread where the character has never made a trade in his entire lifespan. That is severely below efficient, yet it works for him. Looking at it with disregard for personal playing style and only addressing what you're discussing- yes, everything is pretty much obsolete. There's no point in training skills other than to say "I have this level. I can do such and such." Boss hunting is the best money maker period; it's not consistent like RC might be, but it works. If you boss hunt (GWD, corp) for the same amount of time as you make money another way, boss hunting will probably come out on top. Now, if everyone had that mind set, boss hunting would be worthless as the supply would exceed the demand by far and crash the prices, making other forms of money making the best. Basically, it's all about diversity. People do what they enjoy and that balances out the economy. Period. You stated a fact and asked for our opinion on it. There's no arguing what you said, at all. All you're going to get on this thread is posts that either a) take your topic 100% literally and say "well if that's so, then playing RS is useless to" or B) talk about "playing to enjoy" which is not even on topic.
  13. Not a problem. I expect to be invited to this house post-construction? Haha :D
  14. I am the administrator and co-founder (among 7 total) of the group. My name is Crashe on the forums there. Come check us out!
  15. Maybe you should make a blog out of this? This doesn't belong here. Start your own clan chat.. something.
  16. Here's a nicely functioning house with no exits. TIITMPTSQUEOUIMUMDUSRUWQVJNVMHVSIWJQ Go to this URL: http://www.runehq.com/guide.php?type=calculator&id=0736 And type in what's in that code box above into the text box next to the "Use Plans" button. This house design includes a chapel, two portal rooms, two bedrooms, quest hall, costume room, work shop, and menagerie (replace the formal garden with the menagerie, as they haven't updated the app yet). I had to throw in the extra portal room because the right corner had an extra door leading out. *edit* Here's another layout with the chapel moved and the extra room taken out. 17. Have you tried this? http://www.runehq.com/guide.php?type=calculator&id=0736
  18. Waterfiends would tear through him. The highest he can wear is red dragonhide.
  19. Check the eff out of this. It's my first level 90 stat. YAY I AM EXCITE. [hide=][/hide]
  20. Yea, they can transform into anything that is an NPC. I mentioned that a few posts up. :D
  21. Interesting pictures. Has any mods transformed like that in actual servers? That'd be interesting to see.. a bunch of jmod seagulls flying around or something.
  22. Yes, you can do it. You'll use a lot of resources in the process, however, and you most likely won't break even with runes and racks. Bring your best mage spell (Fire Blast at 59 when you get it). Bring Air Blast so you'll have one extra room for a p pot or food.
  23. All you need is crimsons. You can throw some golds in there for nice cheap experience, as you'll get a lot of golds no matter what. Most of your experience on the way to 60 will come from bloated leeches once you get to them. I'd go ahead and make some spirit terrorbirds to keep as they're cheap and very helpful with everything. At your stats, you can't really do waterfiends effectively. I'd suggest dust devils, as they drop plenty at a good rate.
  24. If you haven't done the quest, another place to range them with safespots is in the GWD. You can stand in the top (two?) spaces of the bridge to range them. You can also range them over top of various snow piles and rocks. Just be sure to wear a Zamorak item.
