  1. Have you checked the Archive of Wisdom or its subforums? Most likely will be one in there.
  2. I'd assume for your defense level to bring proselyte top and bottom and any other prayer boosting gear you may have. I believe skeletons are weak against crush attacks (makes sense) so if you could borrow someone's God Sword or Sara Sword, it would be good. Otherwise just a standard ol' whip. As for time, it'll probably take you a month or two at a decent pace.
  3. That's good and bad.. Lots of IPs means you have more evidence to back up that it was you, if you know what those IPs were. But on the flipside, the IPs you used but don't know will show up on a log of all IPs that accessed your account.. and if you tell them you change your IP a lot, then those IPs just look like normal IP changes for you. Unless of course all your different IPs start with the approximately the same numbers.
  4. You don't need mod help with this; we've explained it to you and quoted the rules. However, I am a retired mod, so I guess I count. ;)
  5. Your IP and browser info and whatnot are all public information. Offence is British, offense is English. Either way is acceptable. I wouldn't spend a whole lot of time on this, because most of the time you'll get an automated response. But what you have looks good with the additions of what these guys have told you.
  6. Sing them a Rick Astley song; honestly, it's worked before.
  7. Read my post above; yes, it's bad.
  8. Nope. Editing your post doesn't bump it. You could edit your post when the topic is on page 100, and it would stay there. The only way for a topic to "bump" is for someone to post in it. And don't bump a topic for the sake of bumping it; if it's an interesting thread, other people will reply.
  9. I'd assume that they'd get the bank space too.
  10. That's a big "up yours" to all the haters. Good job on his part, too.
  11. When I used to get a white screen, minimizing the window and restoring it usually worked to bring it back to normal.
  12. Thanks for the insight. I really didn't know much about it, but I see now. If I cracked the system, I'd be hitting up some big companies too. :D
  13. For the majority of people on this forum, I'd say it wouldn't be a problem- after all, our IQ is higher than most 'scapers. But for the endless amounts of 12 year olds that willy-nilly download stuff, or kids that have invasive siblings, or ones with careless parents, or ones who want to play at a different computer (and they don't know how secure it is)- this would be good. How does it work, though? I'll have to look up the Enterprise two-factor authentication solution. Does the device wirelessly speak with the servers to update the password? If not, then I think these things could be cracked easily. If the "dongle" creates the passwords based on some complex algorithm, then that algorithm would probably be figured out eventually just like every other program for PC that has a keygen. I think the back-end stuff could lead to a more advanced hi-scores page. Such as having experience trackers and whatnot built in. Also, more features for the forums and GE page. Wasn't MMG just at a Java Event and said the servers hadn't been rebooted in 5 years? I guess that inspired him. ;)
  14. It is and has been their stance, and they don't want to change on that stance. It's part stubborn, part image, and part time management. Not saying that it's right... but that's how it is.
  15. I understand that it's not right that we have to take such precautions or risk losing our stuff. I realize that it is JaGEx's fault, and that pursuing the matter shows them that we care about these things. However, I'd rather not expend 350m to be a martyr for the cause.. I don't know about you, but it seems pretty fruitless.
  16. Ask me about it. (Not me as in myself, but the guy on this forum named "me") He seems to do a lot of investigating BTS kind of stuff.
  17. I'm glad we agree, sadukar. :) And metuhl, some hint at sarcasm would've been good. I'm usually good at picking sarcasm up online, but I saw no signs so took it as you being serious. ;) As for refunds, you know how it would go.. give one person a refund and suddenly get bombarded with demands for refunds. And when JaGEx doesn't give them refunds, they'll get bombarded with a second wave calling them unfair, scammers, noobs, idiots.. "we pay we say" crap.
  18. I'm implying that you should keep your valuables in the bank while you try out a new update, that is all. We should not expect a faulty product- but it happens often enough to warrant being careful. So why run the risk of losing your items by carrying them with you when it is completely unnecessary? It's not our responsibility to put our items away- in fact, we shouldn't have to. And yes, it is JaGEx's fault that we lost our items, because they didn't fix the bugs in the first place.. The reality of the situation though is that stuff like this happens, so why take that risk? If you want to be a martyr for the cause of getting bugs fixed, go ahead and be my guest.
  19. You're serious? I said you should not ignore it. Even though it should not happen, it still happens.. so the best action you can take as a player is to protect yourself from potential bugs by being smart about what you carry with you. A cure is always better than prevention, and I did not say otherwise. Here's your reward, I accepted it for you while you were gone.
  20. You might as well treat it that way because of the frequency of bugs happening that hurt the player. Just because it shouldn't happen doesn't mean you should ignore it.
  21. What's next? New content with bugs that wipes all your stats? "If you are stupid enough to try new content, you deserve is to lose your exp" Do you realize that what you said is probably the most outrageous claim in this thread? It's like telling someone not to withdraw all their cash from the bank and walk around the streets in a high crime area. And you respond with "oh what.. you could get killed there. If you are stupid enough to walk around in a high crime area, you deserve to lose your life."
  22. Your cash piles are secure if you keep them in the bank where they should be.. if players learn anything from updates, it's that there is most likely going to be a bug with it, and that bug could kill you, so only take what's necessary.
  23. There is a 0% chance of a rollback, so skill on!
  24. Oh well then this could be useful. Do each teleport and take note of where it takes you. Maybe try them twice in case there are multiple locations?
