  1. Hello, assuming max combat with subjugation robes, arcane stream, and seer's (i) or ferocious ring, which weapon is best for slaying with revolution? Tier 75 abyssal wand+orb or tier 77 armadyl staff? I have the tokens to grab a chaotic staff, but it does not seem worth the trouble for 3 tier levels. Also am I correct in assuming that manually spamming abilities will always be better than revolution? It seems like there are several normal attacks that could be abilities, and is there a good way to switch ability bar layouts back and forth for revolution/manual? Also is it pointless to use a spell of a higher level than the lowest above the weapon's tier? Blood blitz for example (level 80) would seem to be the best to use for it's secondary effect.
  2. I've been noticing that after a while I lose all "normal" audio. Things like combat sounds, equipment sounds, etc are just gone until I close out of the client and then open it again. I've noticed that "ambient" sounds like rivers rushing, birds chirping etc seem to be unaffected. Has anyone else seen something like this?
  3. Starting the miniquest at level 60 and switching to lustrous at level 70 with bonus xp the entire time left me with 71 Divination and ~30k xp left until 72. I assume it would have been faster near the end to stick with vibrant memories.
  4. I'm not really sure how to ask about things with all these changes, but thank you for the help. Another thing that I noticed is that the "gear" button at the bottom right of the screen by default glows any time I equip or unequip something. It continues to glow until I click the button. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I'm assuming they did not intentionally think I needed to be reminded that I just equipped something.
  5. Well that seems simple enough, thank you. What about the boons? Should I bother going back to make the lower leveled ones? EDIT: Also now that I think of it, shouldn't I keep 1000 energy for the lvl 60 boon? EDIT:: On second thought, it looks like I can just buy the energy.
  6. I have been sporadically logging on for events and SOF for the past 2 years or so, and this has left me with 59 divination but no actual experience with the skill. So now I want to actually play/train, and I am reading through guides. Does anyone have any general advice for divination that might not be obvious from reading? EDIT: Also is it possible to make it so my inventory, equipment, and skills are always clickable? Currently I'm just closing the other less important tabs after they accumulate, but that seems ridiculous.
  7. That makes it worse than useless if it removes the lost on death counter, because you could just withdraw whatever you wanted to check and then look there before...
  8. Since when has destroying dung rewards for tokens been a thing? Or did I misread the patch notes?
  9. Unless they've changed how renews work significantly, your actual drain rate is irrelevant to how much they restore/how much they decrease the apparent drain rate, and you can just look at it as a 500ish point dose of restore over 5 minutes.
  10. That's an interesting and overly complicated system. Thank you all for the help, I will have to try an abyssal demon task later with barrage to see how much that recent nerf slowed it down.
  11. I am still struggling to understand exactly how EOC bonuses work, so I tried comparing similar dual-wield setups with melee and magic. I have maxed combat stats (since prayer is apparently no longer a combat stat) The equip screen shows that t80 + t72 with melee has damage of 934 + 428 = 1362, and t70 + t70 magic with fire surge has a damage of 1030 + 515 = 1545. I mostly slay (sub out the hat) so I doubt that the small difference in accuracy matters. Does this mean that magic is better? I also compared 2handers, and saw 2003 damage for t80 melee and 2111 damage for t77 magic. Also I am assuming that blood or ice barrage would increase the magic damage further, is that correct?

To my knowledge, enhanced excalibur is better than offhand claws and almost as good as offhand drygore (lower accuracy, slightly lower damage), so you can save...100k? tokens or some money by skipping that assuming you have the elite diary. Also to reiterate, soul split is much more useful now than before in my eyes.
  13. If you can get the ascension bows for less than ~400m ranging should be cheaper. No idea what those trade at currently.
  14. Is it valid to just average tiers for comparing dual wield and 2 hand? For example treachery wand+virtus book would be combined t75, so arma staff at t77 would be better for a single target?
  15. Ok, so a staff with abilities+blitz for single targets, and wand+book with momentum+barrage for multi. I'm seeing that the books only affect accuracy, is that true? And if so wouldn't the differences between virtus/ahrim/whatever books not really matter as long as you have one of them for the speed when slaying?
  16. Wow that was pretty quick. Thank you everyone for the help. I hope they fix summoning somehow. I guess I will just bring pak cows on tasks now if healing and damage don't matter... Just a few more things, are the c rapier, dung shields, and zerker (i) useless now, and if so is there anything to do with them other than dying in the wilderness for 100k? Why do I need a staff instead of wand+book for strykeworms? Or does "bloodfire" not count for the bonus? Are treachery wands rare? I haven't been able to get one well over for a few hours, I will change my offer again... I also noticed this "demon slayer" range gear. It looks like selling arma boots/gloves for those could save a few million, or is the difference there notable? EDIT: Also I have black demons to kill, ended up just buying the treachery+virtus book at whatever instant price was. So I'm just going to go try blood barraging those with momentum and hope I don't die embarrassingly.
  17. I have not played notably (other than POP) for about a year now, and I am trying to learn the new system. So far I'm getting that you need to range+mage+melee now for slayer. I am maxed combat except for 96 prayer. I have 96 slayer and 98 herblore. I have the three GWD sets (barring helmets), as well as the POP sets and MA rings. I most likely will not be regularly using drygores, virtus, or ascension in the near future. I plan to use the relevant GWD top+legs+gloves+boots, relevant (i) ring, fury (does 0.2% critical matter?), and full slayer helm on all tasks. Melee I have the kiln cape and a c maul. Looking around it seems like c claws+EE are better. Is this true? I see that the drygore mace has a prayer bonus, and the offhands are only 4 damage higher than EE. Is the EE lack of accuracy or difference between the drygores notable? Range I have the alerter, royal xbow, and a ccb. Is the difference between royal xbow and dual ccb's notable for slayer with royal bolts? Magic I have arena capes, arcane stream, arma and polypore staves. It looks like the best bet here is ahrim wand+book and using one of the barrage spells with momentum, is that right? Or would c staff with abilities be better? Killing I plan to just stand next to the monster with a steel titan+scrolls, using the relevant turmoil analog, and relevant extreme potions. I plan to spam abilities for range/melee with soul split to heal. Does that generally work? I plan to do the same with magic except for using momentum and healing with blood barrage. Does switching magic element matter, or could I just stick with blood for convenience? Is the 4% damage of the ferocious ring better than the 3% crit from MA rings? Is teleporting to Kuradal the best substitute for NPC contact? Is the difference between c claws+EE and c maul or between royal xbow and dual ccb's greater? I just used all of my tokens on the charm vacuum imp. That was a lot of questions, and any help or advice that anyone has to offer would be greatly appreciated.
  18. You say the word "free". I don't think that word means what you think it means. Any item that takes the investment of time and effort that these are requiring should not be labeled free. Also, personal use comes at the loss of the opportunity to sell the crappier version.

  20. I've been logging in sporadically over the past several months to buy battlestaves and what not, and I've noticed a few things that are going to expire on or before the end of the year. I don't remember all of them however, so could you guys help me out with any of the expiring content that you can remember?

I think part of the problem was that some people didn't partake in the beta, so Jagex decided to release it so people would actually find bugs. *cough* Honestly this is exactly what I expected to happen based on what I've been seeing while only logging in to buy staves. I assume that in a few months when I actually play, you lot will have sorted this. Carry on.

Graphical: • Bears have animations again. • Magic Carpet journeys have been reworked to hang and jump less often. • Some cracks on the ground near the Avatar of Destruction during Nomad's Requiem are no longer too bright with bloom enabled. • The Seal of Approval emote no longer glitches whilst trying to teleport away. • Several blocking tiles have been made non-blocking. • Areas during the Another Slice of HAM quest are no longer bright white with bloom enabled. • Throwing a stick for a pet rock now works correctly. Quests & Tasks: • The Fish Flingers icon no longer appears in Piscatoris during the Swan Song quest. • Players are no longer told, erroneously, that they were awarded 2 Squeal of Fortune spins from completing the extra section of Glorious Memories. Skills & Minigames: •The Court Clerk will now state which cases have been solved. • Making an ally wait in the Signature Heroes Fremennik Saga will no longer cause their health to fully restore. Other: •Anagogic orts and Strange rocks are now given more reliably when mining Bane ore and Red sandstone. • The Clan Avatar 3% buff is now reapplied more consistently when it returns from being hidden. • The Clan Avatar handbooks have been added to player's bookcases in their Player Owned House. • Some Clan Avatar-related quickchat messages have been added. • The "Get job" option on the Clan Quartermaster has been removed. • The Ring of visibility now protects on death. • The Master Invigorate aura can once again be reclaimed. • Messages displayed by the Achievement Banner have been slowed. • The "You cannot use cosmetic gear in PvP areas" message has been added to the in-game spam filter. • Several more weapons can now be overridden using the weapon overrides from Solomon's General Store. • Monkey Barrels no longer state that they can be reclaimed from Diango. • Sounds have been added to the Gielinor Games Silver and Gold torch emotes. • The Clan Avatar expiry timer (where Avatar Wardens log out without dismissing the Clan Avatar first) has been reduced from 24 to 6 hours.
