10 Year Veteran Cape + Solomon's Store, 17th July
Ha, I just realized people can use the weapon swap things to sneak rune crossbows in at Nex.

10 Year Veteran Cape + Solomon's Store, 17th July
I have a couple of accounts that I'm 100% sure I made after scythe came out(end of 2003) that have recovery questions set on 28 feb 2002. If your account shows 28 feb 2002, it's incorrect date. The countdown at Hans is real. If you think you started in 2001, you have to think again because you have a memory loss. He's right. I was 100% sure I made my account in RSC as I vaguely remembered tents but I guess it's possible I simply watched a video on it way back then and over those 8 years have somehow developed a memory of playing RSC... I was 13 when I started RuneScape and it's pretty amazing what memory loss you have of your younger years. That's 8 years ago according to Hans and it's just like when I was a baby. I remember asolutely nothing from those 8 years except a few pointless memories. RS2 is less than 10 years old. I started in RSC and I've still got a bit left before the cape.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I'm pretty sure that noone will care after release. The only reason people care so much now is because speculation and criticism are all that can be done at the moment.

OG Blog: Tradition and Challenge
Unless you are gone for some reason, the update is supposed to launch september. That's all of july and august. Yes this gives you plenty of time all summer to train up your combat stats with legacy tactics. However the trend in Runescape over the past decade has been to make training easier, so I'd be surprised if the new combat system doesn't offer newer, better training methods between stronger weapons and offensive abilities. What he said. It's nice tgo not have to care about this thanks to only having prayer and slayer remaining and them *claiming* to not change slayer xp. I wonder how/if kill rates will change...

Squeal of Fortune "Updates" was: Spin Results (970 spins)

Nope, it irk's me too. 9 is just an odd number in my opinion. I agree, but I'm sure the new immunity from whatever is lvl 69 would be nice.

Actually looking back now, vines were faster than earth and storms were faster than balls. So bloody skulls and pools did not fit the trend. Which would suggest that levels after the requirement would have a larger effect.

I know someone who managed to get runes out twice, once trying (I think) and once on accident. If you try to take smuggled runes back in, the game takes them away and doesn't give you any points. Instead it gives you a message requesting that you send in a bug report to explain how you got the runes out. That is hilarious.

How do you know they have a higher fail rate? Seems much more likely that the fail rate would be based on the fail rates of the two types it combines, rather than being higher than both of them. I timed the xp gain rates of each and wrote it down somewhere in the topic. For blood pools it was 121k ish and for blood skulls its was 108k ish (per hour). My theory about fail rates(I never counted) was based on looking at how often you fail firestorms relative to fireballs because you succeed on most siphons, fails stand out more there. I would have to count to know for sure, but either way the xp gain rate was definately higher on blood pools. I'm assuming that the biggest factor in that is getting xp of the lower rune type.

SoF Feedback Response
So...Because it is "human nature" to exploit the fact that decoherent thought processes makes people easy to fool and manipulate, Jagex is suddenly behing open and honest? Your particular perspective and notions concerning "human nature" and ethics is no indication of any posts here being "right" or "wrong." When I say "wrong" I mean, incorrect. Arguing ethics over something so trivial is a waste of time. Claiming that their 90% figure is a lie is (most likely) incorrect. Personally I don't have records of every active member's SoF use, but I am damn sure that noone else here does either. From personal experience, it seems likely that the figure is not a lie. The posts that I am calling "wrong" are those that claim that Jagex was lying, while presenting no evidence or even reasonable likelihood of that being the case. Posts saying that the newspost was very misleading are correct.

At lvl 90 every node other than air is better than soul wraiths, at 89 every node is better than bloods. Pure nodes of the higher type are slightly better than mixed nodes, because the mixed nodes require a higher level(higher fail rate) and sometimes give lower xp. I recorded xp rates of almost every node somewhere in this topic, that was before the most recent(and hopefully final) node update however.

SoF Feedback Response
Using numbers in your response makes you sound authentic. I mean, no one here would believe that "the vast majority of Members" use the spin, but "90% of Members" is more believable. There are three types of lies...lies, damned lies, and statistics. Just sayin'. You shouldn't say a statistic is wrong unless you can provide a counter statistic. Who told you that? Its completely wrong. Counter example: If the gov't says 99% of people pay 100% of the taxes they owe, I don't need to know the exact percentage of people who don't to know that its a BS number. If anything 90% seems low to me. Do 1 out of 10 people actually exit the sof screen every day and give up the chance for free xp? That sounds rediculous. I don't have a problem with misleading people, people are easy to fool and it's human nature to exploit that, and I don't see any actual lies, so a lot of the posts here are completely wrong.

I think I'll do a few 10 minute tests with the monsters. 89 RC Blood: 41.86k xp/hr* Death: 37.30k Law: 40.24k ** Nature: 39.60k Astral: 37.27k *Having more people around seems to kill the monsters more quickly, so less people=less waiting/faster xp if you're only using one monster. ** Had the monster almost completely to myself during timing.

SSH or Prom Plate?
Litterally every single C6 small on floor 50 that i checked had a nightspider in it. It took 3 floors to find a hood, so I definately would not condemn hood hunting after the update. I'm not sure how much the floor affects rates, but I agree that you should try both and see. If you're like me and use world 77 a lot, most people have hoods so being unhooded puts a target on your back and slows down mime rooms a bit.

Game update 19th April
I know if I get a bn drop my hood is gonna be gone. I only have about 2-3m xp for a third bind though. Only...

Flip merching severerly limited
I don't think this update appleis to higher quantity items... I need more tests to be sure. EDIT: Nevermind you can't sell and then buy to overcome the limit, but you can sell to yourself to overcome it. For example if you're at the buy limit for air runes(25k), and you put in a buy offer that would fill instantly, then you put in an air rune that would sell instantly, you will sell to yourself.
-
Flip merching severerly limited
Because at some point, the higher price that you are selling at will be the lowest price. or at least before, now I've heard people saying that sometimes ge offers are completing out of price order after the update.

which staff for Glacors?
SOL has a higher mage damage bonus, use that.

Ganodermics vs. Frosts
With minimal gear and effort at 99 magic (polypore staff, no magic boost, void mage for pray and no repairs), I've been consistantly averaging 68 kill per hour at ganos and I've noticed an average of 18 flakes per beast. I didn't really care to pay attention to spores, but I think those are around 3k per hour, seeds are wildly variable, but overall it seems to be an average of a bit over 2m sometime sover 1m higher with good seed drops. If you bother to bring a wolper, that will go up notably. I don't have any personal experience with frosts, but I have been told that they require a good deal of attention and effort, and with the other's profit numebrs for frosts that does not seem to be at all worth the extra effort when you would only sometimes make more, and other times make less than you would at ganos in the same amount of time.

Oi....Why couldn't he have shown the items kept on death screen? That is all I care about knowing to be honest, to know if they have the same automatic priority as the normal items or not.

Behind the Scenes - March
Drop rate = chance of drops. Drop improvement = better drops. derp Actually the rate is 1/1 for charms now isn't it? Just because it's a completely guaranteed drop doesn't mean you can't make a rate for it like most things have a 1/1 bone drop rate. They could change that to 2-3/1 or whatever if they wanted.

Item peaks and the CS Wall
Of course, that's the exact line of thinking that creates this kind of situation. But everyone else is, screwing you over if you don't, so probably so... I always feel bad for enjoying panics...but for anyone with spare coins(or one of the shields), great time to flip. EDIT: I always thought that your suggestion of what cs has been changed to was how it always worked...because of the way that the nex armors acted everytime the trade price approached mid price after having been trading a few million under for a while. This is very interesting if true.

Procrastination wins out again. Good to know not bothering to get a new fire cape paid off, suppose they didn't say anything about the damage bonus though... Also i wondered if there will be another update tomorrow on the 29th, or if they will just remove the early bird things alone.
