  1. Wait this was real? I suppose I missed the fake, but that buttercake death system looks laughable.
  2. Chrome doesn't have fingerprint scanner compatibility and FireFox is not as good as Chrome.
  3. That's theoretically the most important takeaway from this by far, but people are too good at whining for any popularly killed things to have gone unnoticed for this long.
  4. It'd cause to much customer service overload to do tht because most people aren't gonna try 3 times when they r told its been deleted. Plus aprils fools never inconvenience the player they just mislead or prove to be harmless fun. We have customer service to overload now? Hooray!
  5. OR they could save a lot of time, effort, and grief from several players. I feel like the "what the hell this is unfair celebrity treatment" crowd would be a lot more vocal than the current "awe I feel bad for her, they should help because they can" crowd. Also, this should not only generate months of stupid tax revenue, but even help potentially fix what was apparently a horribly broken system. So greater good n all that...
  6. So I should just go ahead and never make recovery questions then? That should save me a lot of time not doing what I wouldn't have done anyways.
  7. I completely agree with this. Their policy has always been "suck it up" if you get hacked. the only reason that they took the items in this case was to avoid massive economic disruption. Santas are still dropping though I think, so there's that... Supposedly shouldn't they be panic rising instead of faling since they just got rarer? Even though they were basically removed from the market already...
  8. Google Chrome once they get fingerprint scanner recognition. Until then...IE's not that bad.
  9. No. The stupid tax is the most efficient teacher. Yes there are victims, but those victims are *usually* never victimized again and neither are *most* of the people who hear them whine about it.
  10. Good show sir.
  11. That or 3 used 2000ish model cars. F2pness is giving me a few issues so...does most low level rare trading still happen in World 2 GE? Or has it moved into the actual GE system? Out of curiosity I put some santa offers in and the 2 bought instantly, so it seems like there's a steadily flowing river of offers which would theoretically cut into the shoutout market, but I can't go to look so...
  12. Seeing this almost makes me want to come back to playing. It really is hilarious how much human ingenuity is spent taking advantage of others' stupidity.
  13. How long does it take to re-earn the senior discount? Should've rebought members for a day or something...
  14. That information would be constantly changing for high volume/commonly traded items.
  15. The fact that I quit after buying so many horribly failing rares and will not be able to jump on this PHAT crash either is slowly killing me inside... Then again I'm assuming from that trade that greens are at least slightly over mid? Maybe I can dump off some reds and pocket a green or yellow...
  16. Suppose killing leaches will be more fun now at GWD...then again dying accidentily will be a bit less...fun.
  17. How do people take money out irl? Melt pennies to make copper? I can't think of another way... Lrn2economics You've got a bright future ahead living paycheck to paycheck. So never learn to save. NEVER. Saving money in a bank does not remove it from the economy. When you deposit money, that specific bank has more money to potentially lone out which the borrower will spend on an emu farm or something and stimulate the economy. Burrying works(at least temporarily), though. EDIT: Also, I don't have time to spend AT LEAST 40 seconds teleporting to my house and repairing crap between tasks if the only bonus is increasing my defense. That ranger armor is a bit more interesting though...and I have a feeling that that will end up as the most expensive set.
  18. Or they could have just dismissed it as lag.
  19. The sole reason that extreme defense pots should exist in your bank is to be made into overloads.
  20. Last place that I clearly remember seeing it was on the actual attack style choice buttons in classic, but I'm pretty sure that it is also in the KB somewhere. Also, I was considering a situation with 99 attack/strength and the same equipment bonus. I'm not a member and can't check(easily), but I remember *normal* bonuses of around 130ish slash and 120ish strength, but those numebrs could be completely wrong.

I would say use dragon bones and continue making money. That is, unless frost/wyvern bones are comparable(haven't played in a while).
  22. I am going to stumble over 99 strength at some point or other and at that time, the only difference between aggressive and accurate(for weapons that have the options), will be the +3 attack or +3 strength. So which one is better over time for dealing damage? It would be great if it was not situational and I could just leave the setting on one or the other forever(after 99 def).
  23. That's wrong. You do get xp in all 3 melees and hp on controlled.
  24. That is the most interesting thing in this topic by far. I always suspected that...but where did you see this being said?
  25. most [developmentally delayed]ed thing ever This. One of the sides has to be right, and so far I've seen little factual evidence on the Godsword side. They merely deflect and defend the arguments, without providing any sort of convincing argument from their side. Then you cannot say they are "amongst the most powerful" when there is a plethora of much better weapons available, even at lower levels. I always support an adversary system, so I will choose the "godsword side" in this. I've bolded a bit of one of your posts there, and now I would like you to state how any of the statements(from me) stated below are not factual or in any way incorrect. I don't think that I made any mistakes in this case, but I could be wrong. Experiences lie, math does not; we are subject to a lot of sampling biases For example, my experiences told me that magic defense affected Korasi sword strength. It does not. To be completely fair, like i mentioned previously - GS have SOME use - maybe like one (TD's if you're too slow at switching whip to be effective). But for all intents and purposes it is effectively never #1 at anything else. It makes sense to think of it as basically useless. Uhm what? This mindset is similar to what the old greek-mathematicans had: "if my experiences don't match the perfect mathematics, my experiences are wrong".. Luckily we've grown out of that mindset, and now we think "if my experiences don't match the perfect mathematics, the perfect mathematics forget to include a certain variable". Experience is always more important than mathematics: mathematical rules are used verify & fine tune the ideas you've gained by doing experiments! Runescape is a "perfect physics world,"(with magic) though. Rhetorical arguments that go down to these levels are just pointless really. The plain and simple fact is that no godsword is ever "useless." You might (possibly) be able to accurately say that after certain levels and items are obtained, then godswords are never the most efficient option, but I seriously doubt that. Also, examples such as tds where the level of attention required can SIGNIFICANTLY affect performance cannot be waived off in that manner reasonably. For example, I know that using a steel titan down there is better AT FULL ATTENTION, but I have tv to be watching, etc. So a unicorn is now the best, yet no statistics/attributes have changed. And just to be utterly annoying, I could "use" a godsword to slay lvl 2 men if I felt like it. Therefore they have at least one "use," and based on empirical evidence are not "useless." As someone said earlier, arguing an opinion is in itself completely useless(when nothing is to be gained), and there really is no reason to continue this argument, as it's gone into the cyclical phase that most internet arguments of this type end up in.
