I think it's pretty clear; use at your own risk. Mousekeys are fine. ahk is fine and they don't ban for it but they won't support it either. Don't bot/script with it but if you do and get caught it's on you. I think they are intentionally leaving this as a grey area because 99% of people use these things legitimately and to little personal advantage in the larger scale of things. These programs can be very helpful and don't "ruin the game". But they can also be used illegitimately. Because of this they don't want to black list it but they won't support it and would rather leave it as use at own risk. It's pretty easy to read between the lines and repeatedly raising the subject will only force Jagex to step in on something that can be left as is.

The benefits of ge merching were always that you could A) do it on a noob and waste zero time on your main, and B) that even then it still takes, in total, minutes per day (assuming you are experienced and know what you're doing). Even if you consider time spent researching/watching trends/etc it still will never come close to an 8 hour work day. So as gemeos said, flipping should be valued at way more then 30m/hour. Sure you may average 30m/hour. But considering actual time spent, it is much more valuable.

Increase ags spec to around 55-65% drain nerf addy bar drops hard maybe add something to zammy gwd drop table Get rid of the diagonals in sara gwd. That's really it imo. edit- just read the new dev blog and they are def fixing sara gwd safe spot. Funny it took them years to do it correctly originally. Glad they learned. They are also making the addy bars drop in un-noted form. Good fix imo. ags to 60% drain and wow. They want to possibly make spirit mages drop a dragon shard to upgrade rune boots, instead of dropping d boots. This is great imo. Keeps rune boots from being worthless while still making spirit mages rewarding. Overall, great ideas from jagex on gwd. Really impressed.

was probably originally aimed at automating the process of banning gold farming accounts. The ones that are blatantly bots, as in all lvl 1s but 100m wc or mine xp, etc. Perhaps now they are trying to also get high levels with it. There are a good number of maxed accs that bot to max/200m xp. Well anyway just glad they are able to reverse them with no harm done other then a few days wasted. I'll take that if it works eventually.

August 3rd I logged on rs, and within 30 seconds got force logged out. Try logging back in and get "incorrect password". Try a couple more times, same thing. Click forgot password and enter my email for the acc. Enter new password and still get the "incorrect password" message. Do same process a second time and still get incorrect password. During this process I noticed my name had been force changed from Rufioso to random numbers and letters as when your name is reported for being offensive. So email jagex and get this response- http://puu.sh/3VLAo.png At that point they also changed my name back to rufioso. Can't login game but I could login to the website, so I check my account status and see this- http://puu.sh/3VLIM.jpg The one part is blacked out because I only took one pic and there's more to come.... So yea can't do anything but wait it out. I took "bot busting" to mean it was botwatch, the automated system, that banned me. So anyway wait it out and login on the 5th, and immediately auto logged out again. I go check my account status again and I get this- http://puu.sh/3UFDT.jpg zzzzz. I appealed it, saying I never macro'd and it's a mistake. Never used any botting programs or anything like that, and could someone look at my account manually and see that. Went to bed and get on in the morning and it's "quashed" as jagex puts it. So yea, I was originally very happy with botwatch. But sucks now all these bans. Thankfully I got my acc back 100% intact. I was ready to fly to England if they took xp. No I am not kidding. I have hundreds upon hundreds of days on my acc, perfectly willing to knock on their door to get a false ban fixed.

All I'm going to say is absolutely get p2p. It's very cheap at about 7 usd/month. Everything is better in p2p. As for everything else, I can't give advice on the gp aspect because I have not been in your situation in about 8 years. I could maybe give a few tips but there are people here much more knowledgeable then I about that. I'd just recommend doing tons of quests. They are great for learning the game, giving relatively easy goals for stats, and some xp in low skills. But yes, get p2p.

ahh, 100k/hour is a big drop off. A month and a half ago a someone on a different forum was posting rates about 300k/hour at bandos. That was before the recent dual wield update and before gwd was updated to not be so afk. But anyway was talking to a friend about what if we did mage etc at gwd instead of skeles/dags. Just curious how the xp compared to the gp. I did skeles for mage at something like 250k mage/hour (very rough, it's been awhile). Was about 3m cost per hour as well. Then there are glacors that are like 800k xp/hour and also a lot of profit. Always interesting how the game progresses.

Well like 90% of people with 200m wc did ivy lol Don't get me wrong, talking about these super fast and efficient methods are great but hardly anyone does them relative to the size of the player base that pursues 99s/200m

Full invo of medium xp lamps on one of my noobs. Took a long, long time. Not sure how long, easily a year.

Only thing I could guess is for effigy, seeing as he has some slayer left. Seems kind of weird though when he's not that efficient anyway, to leave 1.5m xp left on skills 300k/hour just for a 15-30k effigy.
