I compared gs to veracs to range, in variety of gears. Range always beats melee there not only in hits but in trip length. Now that's not to say melee isn't more or less fun :P Pretty sure it's lost but I'll try to dig up some numbers.

The current promotion is 17,500 xp per spin in bonus xp. This does not include xp from lamps. At 8 spins per bond, you need 665 bonds for 93m bonus xp. Assumes the stat you're buying bonds for is 14m xp. Right around 4.5b-5b depends on what you get bonds for.

Which is why prices and ratios are still pretty good; more effort, more reward :) Honestly it will probably take a good couple months at least if you put in good hours. But, I couldn't be happier with sticking with it personally. And yes, it is amazing gp. I personally have not xfered any to rs3 yet as I just don't really have to. I will eventually though as that is my main focus, and just don't need stacks on 2007. But the main costs for you would be setting up a decent house, prayer pots for melee, chins for range, and depends how you're doing mage. Bursting skeles or doing the chicken method as seen in erasergaming video. Still expensive. Higher slayer is a good idea also as the higher slayer monsters are good gp, especially on release.

I cant answer how long, but the best way to do it would be do the right quests etc to get to around lvl 50 50 50, then just camp nmz. Can also wear guthans for 6 hour logs at nmz, but it's shit xp. would probably cost a nice chunk for the p pots and the chins. also rumors of corp coming so may want to do melees also :)

off topic but he did craft all with profiting, breaking even towards end. Buy hides, pay tanners, sell bodies/pay alchers. possible with patience.

They shouldn't. No regular player would get their items back, top 15 players shouldn't get special privileges. Incase you wasn't aware, they tried out a thing where they refunded hijacked accounts items, for a while, but something went wrong and they put a few million too many archer rings on some guys acc and it made them crash. So it's not special privileges, just a new thing they have been trying out, if someone gets hijacked for all their shit they deserve to get it given back, regardless of if they're top 15 or top 150,000 No they do not "deserve to get it given back". I'm sorry but keeping your account secure is very simple. I've been playing for 8 years or so and i've never had anyone access my account unless i allowed it. You can't try and say that it's because i'm not "known" enough because enough of the "wrong kind of people" knew who i was when staking was still big and stakers still sold a lot. It sucks that he got hacked, but if you're going to be careless (even though you're unaware that you're being so), then you have to expect that it's going to happen at some point. It's not that hard to keep things secure. That is an incredibly naïve and ignorant thing to say. If there are 10 things you can do to keep your account secure and you do 9 out of 10, then get hacked, it's not your fault. It's the hackers fault for exploiting a system as asinine as Jagex one. Jagex introduced Jag and hyped it as the end all be all for hacking. But it's fatal flaw is that it depends on a third entity to work; emails. If your email isn't two step verified (and as we can see in gunnars case, all emails you use for runescape) Jag is worthless. I've seen what happened to gunnar happen to others. The guy had a low lvl noob that also had jag but no two step verification on the email, as it's just some random noob acc so who cares right? Well they recovered the email, removed jag, got the acc, then got the main by whining to jagex in emails. Instead of Jag all Jagex needed to do was remove the email middle man system all together and introduce a two step verification system for the account itself. But in the end, all you can do is keep the honest people honest. Many front pagers have had their accounts accessed to varying degrees. One time hackers went so far as to fly to Florida where kngkyle was living at the time, access his wireless internet somehow, then try to recover his acc by using the very same ip he was using. How do you protect your self from that? Don't assume that just because you've been safe all these years that the other guy that got hacked is an idiot. I'm sure someone more intelligent than myself could link us to a paradox or invalid argument that you're experiencing; ie- it didn't happen to me so it cant happen to you.

Honestly who gives a [bleep] how people made the gp for buyables. Buyables cost well in excess of 30b now. How do you people honestly expect players to make 30+++ bill? Even jdela who, from what I know, never took donations or abused any gp methods like 2007 xfering etc. I could still argue his gp isn't legit as he made bulk of it pre-ge limits. I honestly don't know where some of you expect these players to pull 30b+++ from. It's an enormous sum of gold that nearly all of you wont even get anywhere near to. What's the difference between winning the lottery irl and getting a 10b donation? Nothing that I can see, and we look at lottery winners saying "damn that guy was lucky, wish that was me" etc. Everyone admires people like the president, bill gates, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or any other famous/rich person. Do you honestly think they didn't step on any toes getting to the level they are at? If so then you have no idea what it takes to get there. They have more haters and enemies then anyone here even has friends, yet we admire and emulate them nonetheless. It's insane and out right stupid to bash anyone for taking advantage of any method legal and available to them to attain the massive amount needed for 200m buyables. If you take a donation, xfer from 2007, diced, ge merched, 76k'd, etc etc etc, more power to you. You're years upon years closer to your goal then anyone flaming you on here.

I was originally in the same boat. I jumped right in when osrs was released. Quickly got dismayed by how long it'd take to get my stats up. It was compounded by the fact that it was 100% brand new; prices for supplies were expensive relative to amount of gp in game, etc. However, I stuck with it and I am now 120 combat with 99 mage/range and 87 slayer. It's even faster now with things like nightmare zone being basically free and 100% afk. You just have to get over the hump and it goes fast. This is absolutely the largest reason I love osrs. I, along with many others I'm sure, thought all I wanted was a replica of 2007-2008 game. But what the mods in charge have done is taken that replica and made it into what 2007-2010 should have been. They've implemented some awesome updates and changes. It's still the same osrs, just a million times better. It's more user friendly, zero bots, smoother game play. And it's only getting better. Things like the coming "trading post" for example. I was hesitant on having a G.E. style tool on osrs, but it's going to be a perfect mix of G.E. and old style trading. The best part about osrs is the Jmods are not afraid to admit failures. They are not afraid to ask for help. They are not afraid to say "sorry, that didn't work, let's remove it and go back to the drawing board". This makes me feel so much better about these updates, as I can trust that the will always be good for the game.

I left 2007 a long time ago and am playing again. I didn't know too many people then that gwd, just had a couple main people to go with. They've since quit/don't really play anymore. So I need some people to duo, and at most trio, GWD. I primarily arma, but would do some sara too. Really just like to duo arma and if I sara I like to trio. Rsn is currently Godwars Mong.
