Well, personally, I see nothing wrong with it. I myself bought some 2007 gp at the start so I didnt have to scrape around to get started. The whole idea of a "fresh start" is player made, and not all players care about having a fresh start. Not all players care about seperation of servers. Some do, some don't. That does not make server to server trading evil, just because YOU do not like it. It's absolutely not rwt. You also need to be able to make gp on one of the servers, which is still runescape. It may not techically be the same game, but it's all runescape in the end. I do, however, understand where people are coming from that do not like it. At the same time, I see nothing wrong with it.

I am only posting this as he is my friend, and I'll defend him. Paulrat3 (paulrat07) has not bought any 2007 gp with eoc gp for his #1 craft rank. I cannot speak for other top buyables, but to assume everyone top ranked bought gp is naive. It is very easy to make gp in 2007 servers, especially with high skills.

Paulrat3 (Paulrat07 on 2007scape) has not traded any eoc gp for 2007 gp. I don't know about others (well I do know some top ranks in other skills have), but paulrat3 has done all crafting "legit", so to speak. Rushed gem rocks at karamja first day, made bank from that. Crafting is profitable currently, and he dumps profits back into craft. Personally, I don't care about trading 2007 for eoc and vice versa. The idea of a fresh start is a player made concept, that not all players care about/must adhere to. It's all runescape, and it's not real world trading.

right... and the more "fake" (as that's what you're asking for, fake as in people voting that dont actually want it, just so YOU can have it) votes there are, the more it ACTUALLY DOES HURT THE LIVE GAME. Don't contradict yourself by saying it won't effect current members, then ask everyone to vote so a handfull can use it.

That is an absolutely terrible way of thinking...

My initial reaction is no. The server will get botted to shit, as it's 2007 tech vs 2013 bots. They will only bring over anti bot tech "if needed", which means it will be too late by then. People bot the shit out of private servers, and that's even more pointless then botting real runescape. I also don't want to see 2+ months of wasted development time after the server dies, which it will. The nostalgia will wear off, and people will realise you can't bring back the 2007 atmosphere. Then we will have a wasted server sitting there, getting run by bots. All the while the 2 months they claim it takes to get it running could have been put to better use. "The good old days" - A very selective memory creating myths about the past.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Overall, I am not arguing that buying spins is disreputable. Only that Alkans accepting of the rare shoutout is more respectable than buying all 99s, for example. Because that's so much less respectable than accepting billions for advertising (if possible) worse Youtube channels than your own. I can understand your point, however I do think it is less respectable. It takes a certain level of talent and "flair", if you will, to have a yt channel popular enough to get those billions. An extremely large portion of Alkans populartiy comes from the immense hours and work he puts into his account. That is not at all comparable to buying spins and getting the same xp instantly. You are 100% correct. Buying spins isn't RWT. Taking cash for shoutouts on a YT channel, is. Well, I suppose they both could be considered rwt, expecially if said yt channel makes rl money from those videos. Also because the peson you're doing the shoutout for is selling the rs gp from his dice clan for rl cash.

30 mins? I don't spend anywhere near 30mins and I do it on two accs. Sure the early stages take more time spent at pop, but you're out of them fast.
