  1. I couldn't agree more with your speech. It's exactly the same with my parents, i.e. there's no way in you-know-where that I'll be able to pay for members.
  2. I really think you might want to notice the key thing about random events: they are RANDOM. This means that nothing influences how many or which ones you get, except what skill you are working on at the time.
  3. Only to high level 10-year-olds with severely overblown egos who want to put people down with their "level" on an online java applet. So basically no.
  4. Interesting read, regardless of its pertinence to RuneScape.
  5. So true, though he doesn't seem quite as bent on power. And I support, but being f2p, I just have to try and coax my friends into supporting it. No one say "Just pay the five bucks" because due to my parents, that is not an option.
  6. Best of luck in your future ventures. Shame I never got to know you. =(
  7. Problem is DI has only had a handful of wars in its history. Also, the last war they had was a loss to DS, much as DI would like to say otherwise. Additionally, if the war is off, why is this topic still around?
  8. awesome! time to break out the pink skirt and anything else goofy i have. Looks like a nice big bucket o' fun.
  9. Wow a nice small little pk run in huh. Congrats DS on the win, although you might want to choose a better word than "retreated," as that suggests cowardice, rather than strategy.
  10. you apparently misunderstood the article. The author discussed merchanting as a legitimate money-making method, as well as discussing the lows some merchants sink to. Edit- oh and halloapp, replace "offer" with "supply" and you have how to say it in english.
  11. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=393 ... sc&start=0 i reccommend checking out the above link, "The Final Word on P2P vs. F2p". Read the thread, it should clear up your misconceptions on how jagex will and should alot updates.
  12. and then the rest of the RS playing community would be happy. i like the idea runny
  13. f2p can burn maple logs. and yew bows will not be added to f2p. simple as that.
  14. i like the idea. but the whole thing would be members only. f2p is never going to get updated with another guild.
  15. oh yeah, 28 million coins definitely fit in a pocket. same thing with 500 reels of thread, 5,000 fishing bait, and 2 million feathers. (feel free to replace these numbers with any arbitrarily large ones.
  16. no. no armor for meleers should weigh nothing. also, it would not be dropped by the same monsters that drop whips, instead, it would be split among many monsters, much like the dragon items. and the whip is not made out of abyssal "material." it is simply a whip of abyssal origin.
  17. adding that many complicated calculations to anything using java is BAD. it would clog up memory incredibly fast.
  18. you forgot curse spells disco. but except for afking dragons or high level demons, there is not reason to auto cast curse spells.
  19. out of curiosity, since when would buying maple bows and mith arrows be new to f2p? since you mention them in your first post.
  20. first, i have not read through all of the arbitrarily large number of replies to this topic, so I am sorry if anything I say has already been said. I completely agree that in a situation such as this, using a message board, or any other circumstance when you do not have a size limit on your sentences, it is unacceptable to type in shorthand. However, when using the private message function on runescape, I personally view shorthand as acceptable, as it allows more information to be communicated in a set amount of time.
  21. I think you have this all mixed up f2p isn't the whole game, nor is p2p an expansion off of it. It is better explained like this p2p is the whole game and f2p is a demo version that lets you test if you want to get the whole game. That is why it is so strange that people expect that the demo, aka f2p, should get updates. When you find a game you are interested in getting, you might download a demo to see what it is like, now would you whine and complain to that company to make the demo better or just go buy the game. i think he meant it in the sense that f2p is like a complete video game, lets just say Diablo II since it's the first game I could think of, and p2p is like the expansion pack that comes out later. f2p is already complete, while p2p is still being upadated and added to. I am f2p, but I do not see the point of Jagex updating f2p, just like they would not update RSC. It is a fully developed, complete game, while the p2p version is still under development. Edit- and dwarfie, although i agree with your coffee analogy, i can pull the 2.50 out of my wallet, whereas i have to produce a credit card number for members. seeing as I am 15, that means convincing my parents, who somehow think AIM can hack my computer, to put in a credit card number online. Ain't gonna happen.
  22. Which would be why my local supermarket sells 2kg bags of sugar for more than the price of two 1kg bags? There are examples where this is not true, but in general, bulk sells for less. (Go into your nearest Sam's Club or other bulk store if you don't believe me)
  23. if they loved to play the game they would not have macroed. although i will admit jagex does hit some innocents with all these blanket bans
  24. First, making a complaint about a chronic and severe problem in Runescape is not whining. Second, you're not really one to lecture another about bad writing, are you?
  25. i find it extremely fun for the java game it is. (i know a little java, and im in awe of how they did the graphics) i have found it is greatly enhanced by joining a clan.
