I have had no luck even changing any chat colors... Ok - so it’s not just me. I know that I can change the colours of my general chat, friends chat, clan chat and visited clan chat because I’ve managed to do as much. Have you enabled the RS3-style camera? It's in one of the settings pages. I found that helped me. No – I will check this out when I get home though. Thanks! Whenever this happens, I can fix it by withdrawing a single coin from my pouch. I still don't know why that works but my guess is a buffer overflow of some kind... I will give that a try – but it I am not sure that will solve my issue. It most often happens while I am Dungeoneering … Nonetheless, I appreciate the input. Thanks! :wub:

Okay – three weeks in and I’ve still got the following “bugs” – not sure if they’re just me, or if everyone else is getting them: 1. Private Chat Colour: I cannot change the colour of my private chat. It’s red. And not that deep red either - it's that sickly pale salmony red that sucks. I hate red as a chat colour at the best of times, but this red really sucks. Worse still, it’s virtually unreadable for me. I can change the colour of the other chats, but not the colour of the private chat. Is this only me? :unsure: 2. Sudden shifting camera angles: I am finding that, from time to time, the camera angle will change suddenly – particularly after I teleport or climb over or through any obstacles – it zooms in/out/over/under/far left/right for no apparent reason whatsoever -- sometimes resulting in a gray screen. Fortunately, I can remedy the gray screen by clicking the compass in the mini-map. 3. Key binds - Abilities: From time to time these stop working. No idea why. One minute I am fine and able to make abilities happen through keystrokes, and the next I am completely unable to get them to work. I’m pretty sure that it has something to do with the exchange between the chat and the abilities. I think I may be getting stuck in a chat mode somewhere in the middle of combat. It gets annoying. <_< Also, I’d like it if they could simply turn off the need to hit <enter> to re-use the chat each time I bank or open some other interface. Seriously, this gets annoying. I reduce my abilities bar for a reason – and that’s to use the chat without having to hit <enter> every time I want to say anything. Really. Additionally, if I only want to send PM’s to someone – I will let you know, Jagex. In the meantime, please set it so that the PM’s stop sending after each message. It seems to me the only way to get out of the PM’s is to hit the ESC key and then the inevitable <entre> key. Honestly, I have wrong-chatted so many people, I about to change my user-name to “Oops Wrong Chat”. :huh:

I swear plays are getting some of the nicest hackers these days... When I came back 2 years ago I was completely cleaned, minus my gems, a black battleaxe, and an addy scimitar. I had to sell all my diamond the buy rune armor and a rune battleaxe. Then I went back to FoG so I could buy my zeker shield back. Yay for letting me keep 200k hacker guises -.- Do you need a hug? :huh:

A close friend of mine recently experienced the same thing. We were tipped off that something was amiss, when we saw his name suddenly change and he quit the clan, so we managed to contact him through our group forum and let him know that his account had been compromised. At the time, he had no PIN or JAG on his account. It took a few weeks for him to get his account back, but he said that during that meantime, the Jagex Support team was very helpful and he was grateful for their effort. Whomever had acquired his account raised several levels and banked some 350M in cash at the same time ... :lol:

I just hope it's not Runecrafting redux ... <_< I don't get why they're replacing an old (classic) quest with an up-to-date one. I suppose the reason is likely to be “quality control” – and it’s probably premature of me to judge at this point, but why not simply make it an entire new quest and let us enjoy both of them? Not that I mind, really – I’ve just always enjoyed doing quests and would rather see “more” of them than “less”, as it were … :unsure: I WISH TO WHINGE ABOUT YOUR CONSTANT WHINGING ABOUT PEOPLE WHINGING IN EVERY THREAD. He’s probably pining for the fjords … :unsure:

Of course, the other draw back to letting F2P have access to the same worlds as P2P would be all the trolling and begging that'd be going on ... :unsure:

I am not sure if this is a limitation of Java or what, but I always wondered why they have specifically F2P and P2P worlds? In other games I’ve seen that offer an F2P component, it appears that the F2P players generally have the same access to the entire game as the P2P players, but can only train certain skills to certain levels and/or use certain equipment. If this is the case, couldn't Jagex simply open the entire game world to all players and make those who want to use specific gear, locations et al, have to purchase membership in order to use all the game's features? :unsure:

Oh right, I forgot about that one - hardly used summoning since EOC so I just unbound that quick key. Will put it back on and see if that fixes the null thing. Oh of course - I really haven't used Summoning since EOC either. except to store things in the occasional yak ... :unsure:

I haven't checked this to be sure, but we can assign an inventory slot on the ability bar which should allow us to at least assign scrolls to a specific key. It's not the solution I think you want, but at least it's something ... :unsure:

My guess is SoF and SGS outclass the rest by a huge margin. The number of people that go "Oh its only $20 in spins" or "Oh I really like that outfit, I'll buy the $50 pack of coins" is staggering. Not saying that cosmetics are a bad thing, and not wanting to go into the issues on spins, but those two easily dwarf the income from membership. Maybe they don't make that much from memberhsip and ads alone, so they jumped on the microtransactions. Now, i dont think they make as much as when more people played and had membership. We had an earlier discussion about their recent financial statements http://forum.tip.it/topic/319783-jagex-2012-financial-report-sort-of/]here[/url]. Interestingly enough, the financial statements indicate that they don't make very much off advertisements (F2P) in comparison to what they make from P2P sources, which is likely the reason why they're not pouring much in terms of resources or upgrades into it ...

I doubt it, considering they have them available in the SGS. Actually, in the original SGS post about bank boosters, they specifically mentioned that they were going to also allow you to buy the boosters with Loyalty Points. This was later delayed when they found a technical problem with linking bank space to the Loyalty Rewards, and then delayed further to be incorporated into the full Loyalty System Rework. Lava cape etc., etc., :wink: I am sure there's tons of people who've cheated to attain a wide variety of achievements. It's actually very sad really, when you think about it. :rolleyes: I am sure you know of tons of people actually, one springs to my mind instantly, and it is quite ironic because this one person in particular, constantly whines and gripes, I am sure you all know the type of person I mean too.. for e.g., 'this person bots, this person account shares, I of course would never do such a thing....etc., etc.,' yet that person does, just thinks that no one else knows...They also tend to make the loudest noise I find, so it is kind of hypocritical when it comes down to it. :wink: I also have a feeling that this person, sits down each time they log in and say a silent prayer and then hunt the lists of maxed banned players searching for names.... But I do not like botters, they are cheaters. AHK keys etc, I have mixed thoughts on it because they are an aid, and I think my thoughts are mainly because my fingers get tied up in knots trying to remember the key binds. There’s certainly a lot of people who come to my mind when I think of cheaters. Like this one person I know who spends her time on Skype showing her naughty bits to various geeks, each of whom she pretends is her “boyfriend”, and gets them to help her max out her character for her … :lol: Omg! I so know one of those too, she has like all these different profiles, using pictures she took from different sites, thing is I feel she went through a lot of erm... improvements shall we say, more than the famous Michael Jackson and his facial reconstructions :razz: , most of those fan sites she has been banned from once they found out she was plagiarizing their info, especially quest guides etc and passing them off on to other sites as her own work.... Those players should be banned. Taking credit for others hard work tbh. I also know this very same person had 2 accounts (more than that actually) on a main fan site and actually quoted herself, quoting her other self :shock: in different forums.... I mean really.... how sad for that person.... :wink: But that is off topic a bit isn't it, I feel for those that are having problems with keeping their account in the game atm, what I don't understand about Jagex tho, is if they know there is a problem with the report/bot thingy, why they just don't make it inactive atm. And then fix it...... oh wait.... I answered that one myself didn't i! Well especially for those that are being banned and then un-banned. Oddly enough, that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg … The one I know also gets people’s personal information, solicits it in-game (which is also against the rules) -- including their phone numbers and other contact information. And talk about crazy? Wow! Tick her off and she’ll go all over the Internet searching references about you and making threats in emails and personal messages. And I mean ridiculous threats that are just plain crazy. Honestly -- this one is so off her rocker you’d think she was about to throw a dingo … On top of all that, she even faked having cancer, if you'd believe it - just to garner sympathy. Can you imagine? Goodness knows what she does with the information she gets from the suckers who give it to her, but anyone stupid enough to actually provide her real photos of themself, or Skype with her or give her a phone number ultimately gets what they deserve.
