We have survived a forum roll back and a graphic change on Jagex part and we are still thriving! =D> With the new graphics came a decision on what to do. We have had great input from many in the community and have come to a unified decision. Start on a different version! There was discussions both ways on this being a positive decision or not. What made the decision easier was the rapid release of high definition game play to F2P. This allows none to be excluded from the picture. A new thread allows for better organization and a fair chance to all for placement within the picture. You can access the original version of the Tip Pic 2008 here. The old version will be finished and left open for those who must or choose to post original graphics. At the end of the year both will be displayed with pride! I have learned so much through the early 2008 and Xecer as well. As we have seen that we are a little limited we have asked someone else to help us... Tripsis will be a great help! There are a couple more changes as far as submissions go. For clarification if you could please post your submissions using the following form: Forum Name:n_odie Runescape Name:N_odie (This is if you want you name different or capitalized on the pic) Picture: URL to PNG format picture

Here is a step by step guide on how to get the picture to a position where you can submit it: [hide==Detailed Submission Guide]These steps are for paint. You are not required to do this method if you know how to make the finished product yourself. These are for people like me who need it plain and simple. ) Step 1 ~Getting the Picture Click the "Show Equipment Stats" button in your inventory. Try to get your player as centered as possible and take a screenshot by pressing the print screen button on your keyboard. Step 2 ~Cropping the Picture Crop the picture to an appropriate working size. Step 3 ~Applying a White Background Use the flood tool and take out any brown that is not part of your player. The magnifier helps greatly in this aspect as well! In Progress: Done: PLEASE SAVE AS PNG! Upload with your choice of image hosting site. Ouchy_S created a small guide on how to! [hide==How to make a image transparent!] [*:1xetez6r] Download Paint.Net for free from this link: http://www.getpaint.net/download.html [*:1xetez6r] Open up Paint.Net, and Open up your picture, which should already have the white back ground, and be down to the size you want, so it looks like this when opened: [*:1xetez6r] Click on the little button that looks like a wand, and set the tolerance bar shown to 25% : [*:1xetez6r] Click on the background of your picture (The White Area), with the little wand, and the outline of the picture should have little dotted lines round it, moving. If you have any areas that are not highlighted, but are part of the background, then Hold Shift and Left Click that area. The whole image background should have the little dotted lines round it: [*:1xetez6r] Now, just press the Delete Key, and the background should go checkered like so: [*:1xetez6r] Upload your picture and you should get this: [//hide] Misterdeathbringer and Tripsis are helping me so you will see their interaction through this thread a lot. Hopefully this will cut down mess-ups due imperfection... or triple it. So far we have it under control but if we ever need any assistance we will PM anyone who shows interest. :[/hide] [hide=The History]The Valor and Uular have done a great job in the past and I have been allowed the privilege to host this year. If you are curious as to the past two years, take a look at the following links: 2007 & 2006. The Great Tip Pic was started because while we may see many through our travels through Runescape, there is no way to see them all! So the thread was started and turned into something of huge proportion! While it does not take the place of meeting fellow Tif members face to face it gives us a picture of all! Thanks! ~N_odie[/hide]
