  1. I think that if custom poses where allowed you would have to make it so the picture is now Tif's. If custom poses are incorporated they will be used by other sites which we do not moderate. So if someone come into Tif and finds a nice custom pose and swipes it, there's nothing we could really do. These discussions are hard for me to contribute and I'm sure you programmers get a laugh everytime I suggest something. I think we should release the ones as are now with a note that says, Future updates coming! This starts getting the fact that we have signatures out without forum users breathing down programmers necks. A cool thing to see would be to have the loggin option (wink wink) integrated with your custom poses where you have a "My Signature" section where you can upload pics and change your picture accordingly.
  2. I wouldn't normally criticise because overall these forums are run well and provide a good service but it is frustrating to see people not do proper backups the fact that it's possible for the backup to be deleted shows that it wasn't done properly. Ive lost site's in the past due to asshats and wouldn't wish it on anyone but the extra bandwidth required to download the backup from the server is well worth it, especially if the data is worth thousands of dollars. We all make mistakes and learn from them. I would say the better term is that we where comfortable. However, as mentioned, we where back stabbed. I don't think backstabbed is even a good term, I would say that we where backstabbed with a chainsaw. Yes there where mistakes but those mistakes will happen again. Trust was broken. I think a good way to explain it is that Tip.it is a body. We have eyes, ears, a mouth and all our body parts. These all work in unison to keep the body alive. This would be the admins, crew, mods, tet and the community. However sometime a body part goes wrong even though it worked perfectly fine in the past. A tonsil for example. We went surgery and are back together but now are in the recovery process. As we recover we start feeling better than before and realize, hey, this has been plaguing me for quite a while and I never realized it! We heal to become a greater person! Nothing short of a world wide nuclear strike can kill Tip.it! And It is not because of the staff! It is because of you! The people and life-blood of the community that gives life to the staff to keep going! Yes we had hard times and will in the future. But we will always learn and make sure that the hard time previously encountered will not happen again! ~Nic
  3. I'm glad this is being thought out. I would say have 2 versions. One where you choose your challengers and the otherone a ongoing torney of assigned player. :)
  4. Guys the submissions loko great :)
  5. Always good to post ur stats when asking for help. I would "invest" in your own skills. Get smithing up buy buying iron and coal and making steel bars and cannon balls. Invest in essence and get RC up. Invest in armor and kill monsters such as dragons or hill giants for bone drops (bones and hides in case of dragons). To invest in GE is all up to you. Decipher updates and take a leap of faith. There's not real way to say buy water tiara's and then bam it happens or else... it would already have happened.
  6. Jagex just reminding us how much they suck before they fix. I seriously think that [/thread] should be cursing filtered to [/i think I know everything and want to end threads becasue I am cool].
  7. Would be a cool toggle option. I would use!
  8. You could start a advertising thing for them. I know that I and some of the people following this thread would love to have specially generated ones in our sigs that we could link back to here. :D
  9. I was using that as a quick example. The people who make blogs right have my respect. :D The main point as you said is abuse. Why put something that can be abused when we don't need it. I was thinking about having a post req before you can give a rating but truth be told some of the high posters are stuck up (not saying all are and I am in no way implying this to 1 person). :P
  10. Good to see you got it!
  11. Nice try, but you can't get 40 charms in 5 dragon kills. :shame: Maybe he was fighting 50 rags?
  12. Please do! :D
  13. Only because I'd get more positive ratings than you. :) And it's not much of a rating system if you take out the negative aspect of it. I'd agree if this forum was oriented towards 5, 6, or 7 year olds, but it's for 13+, and they better be able to handle getting negative ratings, as they will definitely get negative feedback from their posts if it is necessary. Don't think the system should even be implemented without both ends. I see your point, and agree, but I don't think that users should get prejudged on other's opinions. It it was only a positive rating system it would get abused still. Blogs saying, give me + ratings because they are friends. I have not used a forum with this in place so thats just my overall view of it.
  14. Have a thread in the clan forum. It can be moderated by one of the guys there. A clan applies to have there clan linkable in the Clan: part of our profile. I don;t know if this is possible but it would allow for a mod to check the site first and approve it before allowing to to become a link. As trip said, whatever u click on the side of your post as far as the average user is concerned is safe. Having one person messing it up ruins the honesty of the whole crew. While this would not be a problem for you and I, or most people in this side of the forums, it could be huge deal to one in general where they are still gaining faith in the site.
  15. I don't being able to give negative. Thats what moderators are for. The plus system would be coolio however! Everyone can have it on the forum cept skatedog tho.... But seriously a positive ranking button would be really cool.
  16. Nope, I'll have a final date soon :) its in dec tho
  17. I was just about to PM you to see if you still had that! Lunar, I apologize if I missed :P I'll make sure it is in version 1.3
  18. [hide=] K thanks, Where do you say it is cut off? If you are talkijng about the left side that is becasue we use it as a guide where to place the first pic.; When I am done there will be a border to accompany it  With No cut of items. :) Not the left side, the picture doesn't stretch the page so you only get to see up to "The Great Tip Pic of 2(" from the 2 in 2008 on you can't see the picture. [/hide] That is odd. It looks fine from my side... click it to go to the Photobucket?
  19. Very nice correction. Some info that would complete it would be the examine and the weight. :-0 If you would have put it in a certain format I would wonder how anyone could be so useful. :)
  20. K thanks, Where do you say it is cut off? If you are talkijng about the left side that is becasue we use it as a guide where to place the first pic.; When I am done there will be a border to accompany it  With No cut of items. :)
  21. I can't wait either! It is a lot of work but isn't too hard once you have it down. The pictures are still there I was just cutting it down and went to happy and didn't knotice it :P BTW Your picture is saved in the right format but is awfully scratchy. It could be becasue you may have saved it as Gif first and tried to resave as PNG. If you could retake and get back to me that would be great!
  22. Thanks, oh right, well, goodluck helping out, i see your doing a great job already. :P Thanks :0 Mister D and I are having a blast. THis roll back will help us catch up lolz. Tijger2099 That will work great!
  23. Yep And the idea was thought of by The Valor. I just get to help host it this year. :) I hope to really make it stand out!
  24. Can you retake the picture and save as PNG. When you save as gif it reduces the quality thus the fuzzyness of your picture.
