Its not that it is a "waste" using it on mining pickaxes, rather using it on a more expensive skill to train such as smithing, construction, and crafting would definitely be better. Actually you would gain the same exp if you played the game then mined then just mining the whole way through with a normal pickaxe.

If your still having doubt you can get a friend with higher levels levels to half hp one and you can just finish it off.

It would be anywhere from 45k-58k. 85-90 is about 11k reds, and 90-99 is ~42k. No idea on cannonballs.

Well getting a bit more mathematical here. Level 1-33 ~300k. 33-99 would be 216,937 oak planks which by today's prices would be 91,764,351gp 99 Construction would cost at least 92million. Now throw in sc hammers and its 46m total. Nows the fun part, 33-99 would be 13,016,184exp divide that by 64k (average exp a hammer) which would be 203 hammers. Thats a whopping 68 hours playing stealing creation. Technically speaking thats saving 676,471gp an hour. ;) I really have no idea how to calculate smithing.

Its only a level one requirement. I believe those wind up toys that you wind and pick up give agility experience and is by far the best way to train agility at the low levels. Edit: Previously the toy mouse gave 15 xp for every attempt, however it was changed to 3 xp per successful catch. It's still debatable which is faster.

Imo I think it would be more fun an a better experience if you raise skills in intervals of 5 level or 10. Such as woodcutting 5 level then switching to the next stat and raising your entire character's build instead of a select few. The only thing I would suggest is just doing as many quests as you can, they open up new areas and areas of skills that make the game more efficient to play and more fun.

You can kill the workers and make the task really easy or you can kill the soilders with a cannon or with guthans. I normally bring a cannon with about 1k cannonballs, 2 pure sets and 2 super anti-poisons, a prayer potion (piety\10% str) with a bunyip and bandos with a slayer helm\black mask. Though the bunyip usually covers most of the damage from the soldiers.

I'm not a 100% sure you need to start\finish the quest to pass the city guards but the Quest that takes place there is Watchtower Quest If you look on a real map (locators have low quality) you can see bridges connection to platforms. Bork has a 100% drop rate of "Big bones, Uncut sapphire, Uncut emerald, Uncut ruby, Green charm(2), Crimson charm(7), Blue charm(5)". So you still would need to purchase pouches, shards and secondary and make pouches like you normally do. Although penguin points are direct experience that you can get by talking to larry in ardy zoo. You will need to be familiar with the actual minigame and hunt the peguins to get the reward.

Off handed I would say it would be a Java loading problem, possibly a fatal error which caused your firefox to shutdown. Assuming you played before and have no had a problem I would simply re-install Java from their site and see how that works.

If you did that quest (one for the shortcut to chaos altar) then just go to the statue west of of the earth altar\south of the sawmill\north east of varrock and you will see a cutscene.
