People have anticipated the summoning skill without any proof or even hint for many years. Most likely if there are many supporters Jagex has already thought of it and are in the making. Imo archeology skill has more weight if they are going to release a new skill. I doubt there was any hint or proof toward sailing and was just a rumor that gained some momentum. Note that archeology with the varrock museum would count as a reliable clue.
