  1. Acting is really important, but IMO the story is most important. Specifically the pacing of the story. I need to be gripped in and not just want to see what happens at the end, but see every moment and when the movies over, I want to want to keep watching. This is mostly done by uising a good pacing in a story, and it has to be about an interesting topic with interesting charecters.
  2. And I just read on IGN that from launch, if all goes plan, they want to have a sub-200$ price! For Nintendo Rev. That will definately support their cause.
  3. STAR WARS. I completely forgot about if they got a Star Wars game on the rev, and you could have one pointer for a saber or 2 points as two sabers. Or 1 as saber, 1 for force powerzzzz. That would be just...just wow.
  4. If Nintendo Revolution has some good titles it will definately be something to compete with...The more I think about it the cooler it seems. Not that I'm ever going to get a next-gen console, but if Nintendo can get some good games (and lots) it will be a force to be reckoned with. Can you imagin playing a FPS with that?! HAHAHA.
  5. Hehe, rubbers. Don't Google that. Eraser will do just fine. BAHAHAHAHA. When How2 said gum I actually thought he meant someone chewed up gum and threw it at him...That's means for crying...I mean thats just icky. The closest I came to crying was in Kindergarten when I fell off the monkey bars and hit my head on ice...I didn't end up crying though.
  6. 1. Starburst 2. Gummy (it doesn't matter what kind of gummy...bear, worm...it all tastes the same to me) 3. Red Licorice (it has to me the good kind tho) 4. Oh Henry Chocho bar 5. Mars Bar I also like Cherry Blasters, Twix, Fuzzy Peaches, Peach Rings, Skittles, Jolly Ranchers and a few other kings of choco bars. But it doesn't matter what kind of cany I eat...I always get that sugar-high, and then I want more so I eat a tonne and then I get a head/stomach ache and need to lie down :(.
  7. How can you be sure..Neither release date has been announced...Not to mention that a game that has sold, give or take, 10 million units, facing off against a system that has sold, give or take, 90 million units? Assuming they release Halo 3 on the same day (which you can't be sure they will), it will be the one overshadowed.
  8. GTA games have sucked and will continue to suck.... Such...a...good...arguement...
  9. The main (well, only...) reason I'm excited for the nex-gen is for the next Grand Theft Auto that will be ported to PC...Since they were somewhat restricted in their capabilities with San Andreas...They will have so much to work with in the next GTA...If they can pull off a great title...It will be the greatest invention in human history.
  10. Heh, how could you hate such a super-fantastic game? The main reason I mentioned was cuz I'm currently playing it...So it was the first game that came to mind...Not the best game ever but it can be fun :). And I just remembered...Max Payne 1/2 is very very good games...And GTA3+Vice City should be able to run on those specs...They are some of the best games ever (San Andreas might very well be the best game I've ever played...)
  11. Most of what he said is pretty good... If you're looking for a FPS with low requirements...Definately check out Serious Sam: The First Encounter. Just look at these reviews: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/serioussamthefirstencounter/index.html?q=serious+sam http://pc.ign.com/articles/165/165156p1.html http://archive.gamespy.com/reviews/march01/samiam/index2.shtm It's not much in the way of story...Graphics are a bit aged, but its insanely action-packed, really fun, and asuming you can find it in store, I doubt it will cost more than 5$...That is, if you can find a copy... Also, there's Deus Ex...An amazing FPS/RPG hybrid...A classic...One of the greatest PC games of all time in the eyes of many critics and players alike. It's a few years old - your specs are ample. (BTW - give it a few levels to get going if you do in fact get it) There's plenty of other games...It really depends on your taste
  12. I don't have one, and I never will get one with all the bells and whistles...Seems like a waste. The only reason I'd ever one is for emergencies and business.
  13. I can't get over Steam because I don't have a credit card :(. Any news on Half-Life 2: Aftermath?
  14. Sry this topic is a bit old...But I just had to post this... It's from the game Serious Sam: The First Encounter...This guy is wicked big and wicked bad...Biggest Boss I've ever seen...And trust me, I've played A LOT of games...And this guy isn't just big...He comes with his own army of rocket launching bio-mechs, 30 plus charging bulls, plus lots of other stuff...And a flying saucer (seen above him). I'll try to get a picture to show some scale... Here's him stomping on Sam...who's a really big guy by the way...Earth's only hope... Wow..I just...He just...He just took out a gun in each hand...A lightning gun, a missile gun, a laser gun, and a gun that shot big balls of magma...And he also started spitting out balls of fire...And did I mention, he heals?

I'm definately going the first night (or, assuming it comes out on Tuesday, I'll go the Friday). For one, it looks awesome. Two, I really like the games...They have a really good story. I don't think the movie will capture the freaky atmosphere, simply because you're not in control...But it will still be a good watch. And finally, its got....THE ROCK. He's an amazing action star with decent acting skills (he won't win an Oscar but...he was a wrestler, give him some credit.) I'm really excited about the movie. Though I'm more excited about other game-to-movie things (Splinter Cell...Spy Hunter (also featuring THE ROCK) and what is gonna be the best movie ever: MAX PAYNE).
  16. The final bosses in both Dark Forces and Jedi Knight were both really hard. The Dark Forces guy was this massive, jet packed guy with missles, plasma rounds and could spew out rings of orange death balls, that were nearly impossible to dodge unless a decent range away. And not only that but he flew around wicked fast and there was no mouse support so you had to use the keyboard if you wanted to aim up and down and turn. The Jedi Knight guy was a dark Jedi who had tremendous attack damage and force power damage. Plus, when he got wounded he would run into an invicble ball, go back to full health and go back for more. Not to mention when he went in his healing ball, statues came closer towards the middle. So if you let him heal more than a few times the statues come to the middle of the ring and the whole level explodes and you have to restart the fight. The only way to beat him was to stand in the way to the entrance of the ball, and you could not run away to heal or to escape his wrath or he would get in...That was really quite hard...I guess the Half-Life/Opposing Forces bosses were both hard as well. You don't even need heal really. I was completely light side, but heal doesn't heal as much as a life support pack, of which I had 20+ of. I just beat the game about an hour ago for the first time in fact :). And if I remember correctly, it was pretty hard to beat the end guy of Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne (was it Illidan?). He had tonnes of goons.
  17. I'm just enjoying the information on it...I was completely not going to buy Serious Sam 2 as it has been said it will sell at full price, but rumours have come from Quake Con that it might sell for somewhere around 30$...in stead of 50$. Also, game sites are getting previews on Quake 4 (which I'm probably getting) and Quake Wars: Enemy Territory (maybe getting).
  18. Ok, I've been having a problem getting Knights of the Old Republic (the first) to run on my computer. The install went fine, but then when I try to start up the game it doesn't work. Here's the wierd thing...After half a dozen tries, it randomly works and starts up for about 2-3 hours. The thing is though, I just have to sit and click the icon, sometimes for up to half an hour! It's really a waste of my time, but I really want to play it. Anyone else have this problem? Or can suggest something that might get it going?
  19. According to IGN, San Andreas is now banned from all sale and rentals in Australia. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/637/637793p1.html
  20. Hmmm, I've only seen the first Blade...Overall the movie is pretty good, but what really makes it great is the bloodbath at the start and Blade just walks in for no aparent reason and starts owning...The rest of the movie is only alright though.
  21. I always forget the most important part of a post...I've done that several times now.
  22. In the sims even there's a cheat to remove the shower when their showering! Another code to have it not blurred out when you remove it. Atleast that was in The Sims 1, when my cousin had it. They would have to try dang hard with #2 not to make the same happen... lol graphics are better, and there are some preatty perverted people out there. Don't worry all, The Sims two is now being attacked by Jack Thompson (who along with Hilary Clinton and Leeland Yee basically started the whole San Andreas incident). Read this article...It's ludicrous, and he backs it up with the fact that this is how it is "...according to video game news sites...". I can't see how he can judge it when he's never played it...
  23. That might be a bit of exaggeration...I have 20+ M rated games, and I'm 15...I've only ever needed a parent once and it was on this game. So this then means that retailers are already not selling this game to minors...
  24. Sure, fun for five minutes...But if you actually play through the game they are ingeniously made, have a good story, excellent charecters...You can't reflect a game on five minutes of play. Again, have you actually ever played it, for more than 5 minutes? And, to you're second comment "doesnt seem like going around shooting people would be fun"...so you're saying you've never enjoyed playing a first/third person shooter? Because the blood/gore is far less than many of the other M rated games I've played...most of the time there's very little blood. And it's not like this is extremely violent compared to any other M rated game...Every other FPS/Third Person Shooter is equally violent. Sure, there's lots of other maturish things you can do...And I would highly agree that it deserves a Mature rating...But Adult? You're gonna have to buy this in like a special adult store...It's not that bad...
  25. I'm not sure how many of you have been closely watching the whole Hot Coffee mod thing, any big Grand Theft Auto fan most likely has. Though in a long investigation of the game by the ESRB, the game has been temporarily changed to Adult Only rating. However, this "Hot Coffee" mod can only be accessed on all systems throught many hours of hard and purposeful work, and its not something a 10 year old will just stumble upon. The PC version requires the download of a mod, and the PS2 requires some sort of mod chip and codes and...Well I don't know much about the PS2 but it definately takes a technology savvy person to get in. Information on the 'Hot Coffee Mod' Taken from http://www.gamespot.com Anyway, here's Take-Two's official release, taken from http://www.planetgrandtheftauto.com Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Announces Conclusion of ESRB Investigation Rockstar Claims: There's been an uproar between people who have probably never even seen a PS2 or XBOX in real life (Hilary Clinton...what could she possibly know about video games...) claiming that Adult content is getting into the hands of children. The people have neglected to realise that the current rating is Mature 17+, and therefore shouldn't be sold to minors, and if the parents are buying the games for them, it's their own fault. Also, it's not like the nudity is very exlicit. Apparently your girlfriend is topless, and CJ is fully clothed. Not like there isn't worse in other games... I think that this is stupid. It singles out a game because of how big it is, and denies people the ability to buy it. Atleast Rockstar will work hard to change this and it should be back in stores as Mature soon. Glad I have my copy ;). For more information see the following websites: http://www.ign.com http://www.gamespot.com http://www.planetgrandtheftauto.com
