Quests
This is a completely terrible thread. You should have just put it in help and advice with the rest of your failed questions. This is extremely obvious to pretty much everyone except you. Reasons people do quests on release: [*:2sxgeshs]Quest Cape - Many people want to keep their quest cape, meaning they have to do every quest [*:2sxgeshs]Reward - Many quests have rewards which are overhyped on release, such as phoenix quills, meaning it is some quick, easy, money. Also there are sometimes improved training area's or new monsters to fight, so people want to see. [*:2sxgeshs]New Content - Most players want to do new content as it comes out, personally I try to do any new content as soon as I can, that way I can help my friends who log on later.

Of all the lucky things...
Worst thing? 19.3k farming xp each for free is not bad, I have gotten 27 Spirit Seeds now which is 521k farming xp, I think that is pretty good, saved me about 5M as compared to normal trees. Back on topic, I don't think this really deserves a decent rate I am sorry. It is lucky, but it isnt really like a "OMG AWESOME LUCK!@!" You have no use for the seed, as your farming level is no where near good enough to plant it, and where the seeds are rare, they are not really a MASSIVE thing to get.

Another boneheaded move by Jagex
Make the PKRI's later at night then, seriously if you go on at a half-late time there is only like 50 people on PK worlds, of course they arent going to let it be that empty for half the day.

How did you get the second name piece? I have looked all over the top floor of the temple as she instructed but have found nothing.

What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
Yah but Graardor does drop special items, otherwise he would be useless. That is like saying "Oh if there were no drops in Godwars then they would still be bosses", but Jagex would never have made Godwars if there were no drops.
-
What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
Yah well that is cause Jagex wanted to make sure that it was a "Boss" more than anything else in rs. Drops the 4 sigils which are sought after by tons of people, and 2 of them are the 2nd most expensive items in the game now.

Never! But I plan on getting 80 agility, but nothing higher.

What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
That says that Iron and Steel dragons are a boss, but tormented demons are not there. KBD had dragon medium helm as a semi-rare drop instead of a rare drop, even today usually during a normal team trip you get atleast one.
-
What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
Yah my original definition in the IRC was "A high leveled monster that is killed primarily for profit, rather than for experience."
-
What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
A level 40 can kill the KBD with range if they know how, doesnt mean it is efficient. I make over 300k an hour at mole, lets see you do that with a dds.

What Defines a "Boss Monster"?
Talking in my clan's IRC, I said that I was killing the Giant Mole "Boss" at the time and saying how it was quite simple to kill solo, easier than with a team. One of the other members of the clan replied that the Giant Mole was not a boss. So I started thinking, what defines a boss? Before some of the more recent high leveled monsters it was an easy distinction. A boss was simply a very high leveled creature, which was not generally used for training on. This definition held true for many of the first "Bosses" in Runescape, such as King Black Dragon, Kalphite Queen and Chaos Elemental. A few different aspects of bosses have been mentioned so I want to look at them, and then see if we can come up with a real definition of what should be considered a "Boss Monster." Level: In the past most monsters that were over 200 combat were considered boss monsters. Jagex did not release a high level creature for a long time unless it had a Unique drop and some difficulty to killing. But when they started wanting to make new items drop, they had to release high level monsters to ensure there would be rarity to the item. So a monster such as the Mithril Dragons would be added to make the Dragon Full Helmet drop available, but these were not considered to be a "Boss" by most people because they were a monster which you had to solo and there were an abundance of them. So level alone can not define a boss, although all bosses are high leveled, every high leveled monster is not a boss. Drops: Many monsters which people consider bosses have unique drops. Even the first real "boss" in Runescape dropped the Dragon Medium Helm which everybody longed for at the time. Bosses in the God Wars Dungeon drop their respective Hilts, weapons and armour. Kalphite Queen can drop Dragon Chainbody and Dragon 2H, Chaos Elemental drops Dragon 2H, Tormented Demons drop Dragon Claws and Ruined Dragon Pieces. Nearly every boss monster at the time of it's release drops a unique item. But over time these items can be added to other monsters and lessen the rarity of the drop. Dragon Medium Helm for example is dropped by most high leveled monsters in runescape now, dragon chain is a drop of Dust Devils and of Kalphite Queen, and Chaos Elementals drop of the Dragon 2H sword was also added to the Kalphite Queen. So many monsters that are considered bosses have either unique drops, or atleast an increased chance at certain rare drops. Risk: Most monsters that are considered bosses are not something that you can just sit back and train on and reap the benefits. If you are with a small team as most people prefer, there is always a chance of dying at a boss. The more people, the less risk. This is where "Soloing" comes in, as most people like the risk and/or prestige of soloing a boss monster. For the most part, bosses attack with multiple combat styles, so decent armour and knowledge of the boss is required in order to survive. Every monster that I personally consider a boss uses multiple combat styles except the Giant Mole. Scarcity: Bosses for the most part only have 1 spawn, only 1 of each boss can be found in Runescape. The only monster which I consider a boss which there is multiple of would be Tormented Demons, other than that I believe every other boss only has one spawn point. Other high leveled monsters such as Metal Dragons, Black Dragons or Dark Beasts, even though they have unique drops, are found in multiple places, and have many spawns. These monsters are also mostly in Non-Multi Combat areas. Location: Boss monsters are usually Isolated, this may be to ensure that people do not accidentally wander into them (The Chaos Elemental is the opposite, but it is found in deep wilderness which is meant to be dangerous). Most boss monsters have their own special areas, decorated to suit them, and away from other monsters. KBD has its own lair, Giant Mole has its own lair, Godwars Bosses each have their own rooms, Kalphite Queen has a lair, and every other boss has it's own isolated place. Although there are other high leveled monsters than have their own places aswell, Mithril Dragons, Steel Dragons, Iron Dragons, Black Demons, Dark Beasts, Black Dragons, anything high leveled is usually isolated, so bosses just follow this pattern. These are the main points that I have come up with. Usually a boss monster will fall under all 5 of these categories, that would make it completely a boss monster. After saying that though, some of the bosses only fall under 4 categories, so should they still be considered bosses? My Definition: For a monster to be completely considered a boss it must fill 5 requirements: [*:42o0lsac]It must be high leveled. [*:42o0lsac]It must drop unique, rare items, or have an increased chance of rare drops. [*:42o0lsac]There must be risk involved in killing the monster. [*:42o0lsac]They must have only 1 spawn per world. [*:42o0lsac]They must be in an isolated location, designed for the boss. If a monster meets only 4 of the 5 requirements, then it is a person-to-person basis whether or not the monster should be considered a boss.

15th May 2009 - Limited Edition Chosen Commander Hoodies
Yes. Indifference is certainly the method that requires the least amount of effort and brings little to no change about, ever. People will still mess with you if they elicit no response. But reacting with anger isn't right either as I've already explained... Personally, as a nerd/geek/whatever, I just go along with any jokes thrown my way (so long as I deem them 'appropriate;' if 'inappropriate,' I either ignore the jokes or start up a "battle of wits" with them (too bad I can't use iocaine powder  )) and I've developed a reputation as a 'cool' nerd (for lack of a better term). 8-) Although, I have to admit that being at the top of my class and having a black belt in taekwondo probably helped a little. Did anyone else get that "Iocaine Powder" referance? Because it actually made me laugh. Tis from a great movie. On topic though, the hoodies will have a very limited demand, not only because they are runescape related, but also for the fact that most people do not want to order a mediocre looking sweater from the net, it looks like a hoodie that you would buy at Walmart.

Top 1000 Overall
I don't know if I will ever get maxxed out, I don't really plan on it but it could happen. I will be falling out of the top 1k today, as I really don't feel like mining so I am just going to woodcut, it is fine though cause I know I will get back in.

Top 1000 Overall
Normally I would not make a thread for a single achievement (most of my threads are 2-3 major levels) but this is a goal I have been working hard on for a while. Last night I finished getting 80 RC (Yay Class 5 Clay) and today I was close to an agility level so I got that aswell, the result: Top 1000 overall: I am happy to have achieved this now before my summer job starts, but chances are I will fall in and out of the top 1000 over the next few days until I decide to train hard at something (getting 88 mining tomorrow). Goals this summer: 25M+ Woodcutting Xp 99 Hunting 99 Thieving 91+ Runecrafting 90+ Mining 99 Prayer

99 Ranged 50 Combat
Is this really an achievement? He just wasted his time for months, he made a completely useless account which he can not do anything on. Also chances are he was multilogging and training another account at the same time because I doubt that anyone would seriously sit there for 2 months doing absolutely nothing. 0/10

3 More Achievement Capes (Fish, Farm, Quest)
This earns you 10/10 by itself. Yah well everyone plays their own way, I prefer Skills, although I kinda went overboard and went bankrupt doing farming, so before I sink money into my next expensive skill (Prayer) I will make sure my bank can support it easily.

3 More Achievement Capes (Fish, Farm, Quest)
I have been skilling for 8 months straight and spent over 500M on skilling, and just before that I spent 170M on summoning. Skills > Money.

3 More Achievement Capes (Fish, Farm, Quest)
Ok so it has been a few months since I have achieved a big goal on Runescape, this was mostly due to college. I have been fishing monkfish on and off since I got my 99 construction though and finally I got this level: Cape #1 of the Day: Fishing While I was fishing the whole way along, I decided I wanted to get my total level up even more, and decided to get my farming up (was only 63 at the time). I did trees and got to 80 very quickly and thought it was pretty easy. I had already sold my yellow phat for some extra money for 99 construction and had about 90M cash left over, so I sank it all into Magics and Palms and got 97 farming quite quick (got about 210k xp a day). At 97 I went dirt poor and was forced to train hunter for a little bit (did 80-91 in 1 go) and then instead of buying more tree seeds I went and started doing herb runs a lot. In the end I did 97-99 farming off Dwarf Weeds, Strawberries, Calquat Trees and Spirit Trees (26 spirit seed drops helps). So I got this level on the same day as fishing, since both got to 98 at about the same time: Cape #2 of the Day: Farming Lastly, I have really been getting into questing recently (I did all achievement diaries in 2 days and loved them) and I just kept going, This month I went from about 150-282 Quest Points. Today I did WGS (way too easy :S) and used the lamps on RC, I missed the screeny of the Quest Complete page, but I got a screeny of the level that the lamps gave me (74-77 RC) and you can see the Dragon Shard in my inventory. Cape #3 of the Day: Quest Stats as of May 4th, 2009: Best of Bank as of May 4th, 2009: My next major goals will be: 99 Hunter (Plan on hunting a lot over the next week) 90 Mining 99 Thieving 150M+ Bank Worth - At this time I will buy 99 prayer. 80 Runecrafting 80 Agility Top 1000 Players (Very close to this one)

99 Crafting
Tedious? You may want to look up the definition before using it again. Crafting is a very fast skill cape, I got 87-99 in a week easily. It is just the same as cooking (speedwise, faster depending what you do) but costs a bit more. Grats on 99 crafting though, not one of my favorite capes, but it is a nice 99 to have anyways.

overall user
Little more effort please? Ill rate once you atleast put some pictures up of your achievements.

farming record?
Over about 2k dwarf weed seeds I had an average harvest of 6.8 herbs per seed. However I did not use the trollheim patch. My best run using just the 4 normal patches was 52 herbs, which gives an average of 13 per patch. My highest yield off one patch ever was 19.

G Maul vs Rune Scimmy
I would go with the Rune Scimitar. Gmaul is very slow, if you have the money you could buy it just for doing specials, but that is about it. Other than that I believe Lead Bladed Sword is better than Rune Scimitar and requires 50 attack to use, but you may need 55 slayer to use it.

Will these items ever sell on the G.E?
There is a 4 hour limit that you must wait for before you can sell an item back, definitly take out your items until after that limit is off, otherwise they will sell instantly at medium (even if they are selling at market price). Of course items will sell over time, even if they are crashing at the time, usually you will still be able to sell them same day.

I cAn MaKeS fIrE?
Im pretty sure this just belongs in the thread on General Discussion where people put little pictures or videos. This does not deserve a thread at all. You hit a 82, you can hit higher with 96 strength. I may aswell report this that it is in the wrong forum.
